Its a fun location. Lots of stuff to do. The age gates are fairly restricted for children under 9.
Plenty of space to work out and I liked to see that they have maintenance on site. the Recplex staff were all very friendly and acknowledged all the guests even me and my son he loves playing basketball and working out.
My kids love it. However some of the new class coaches have harassed me over something I and several people saw during the look down and it continues to happen. More specifically the boxing coach. This morning he yelled at me, this is my gym ok... so dont go crazy as my wife and I were walking to the lockers upstairs. Other than that the equipment is pretty good and most of the staff seem to really enjoy their jobs.

This is a very nice gym and the kids live it. The staff is friendly and very helpful. If your a traveler from out town they are very accommodating. Go check this place out if you havent.

Formerly operated by the YMCA, the city of Ponca City took over operations on December of 2018. Upon doing so, they eliminated some of costly programs operated by the YMCA and we’re effectivey able to lower membership costs and simultaneously make much needed improvements on the facility.The future is bright for this recreational facility under the capable hands of the Ponca City’s administration. As a citizen of Ponca City, I am very pleased with the investment our city leaders make in our community. This is not to say there aren’t serious improvements that still need to take place at the RecPlex, but what I have seen them do in a very short time gives me hope and confidence that this facility will be a premier excercise and family recreational facility in no time.They have 2.5 basketball courts, 3 racquetball courts, dozens of excercise class opportunities, an Olympic sized lap pool, a recreational pool with a water slide, a sauna, a hot tub, rock climbing wall, and several cardio and weight machines. They also have 7-8 baseball/softball fields outside, however most are used for children’s league ball. And for those with children, they do provide child care in the morning and evening Monday-Friday.

Sadly, this YMCA has gone downhill very quickly. Many times when our family has been there swimming, the lifeguards are not watching the swimmers carefully. If you are concerned about the safety of your children, Id recommend swimming at Ambucs or Wentz.

Would not recommend this place for swimming lessons for your kids. Their program seems to be fine even though I expected more but their teachers are rude and seem like they’d rather be anywhere else. Not exactly what I expected after paying the heavy fee to put my kid in their program.
Now its under new management!! Im so glad. I think they are off to a great start!!!
Very unorganized. Thngs are alwys breaking and staff are unprofessional in the pool area and at the front desk... . Can never get ahold of the main director when on the phone whn you need to speak to her. Ridiculous.
My wife and I are members of YMCA. They have great facilities and a lot of classes and exercise equipment, swimming pool and a hot tub to use. Highly recommend to join reasonable rates also.

Amazing facility. Best YMCA Ive been to in terms of facilities, hands down. The staff is terrible. They are inattentive, make it clear that you are bothering them when they would rather be on their phones, or chatting with girls, dont keep the weights picked, dont put out cleaning solution at all in weight area, the childcare people dont follow the child check in procedure ( well some do, some ignore it). The treadmill belts are loose. Just very poor staffing and upkeep.
Every time you walk in Sommer the front girl is on her cell phone and doesn’t even get the door open for me half the time because she isn’t paying attention because of the phone in her hand. Highly unprofessional and allowed because she’s best friends with her boss Susan. Even called to complain and was told that wasn’t the case haha when I’ve seen it firsthand! Total joke of a place. Save your money and go to planet fitness!
Excellent facility for working out and getting into shape. The building is very modern and features a full walking/joggging track, basketball and volley ball court, a rock climb, all the workout equipment you could ever ask for, a heated lap pool, a heated kiddie pool with a water slide built in, a hot tub, a sauna, and 2 racket ball rooms. Theres even an area for kids to play on Nintendo Wiis.Its $7 for adults for a full day as a guest, and $3 for kids. Im not sure how much memberships cost but you can become a member for a monthly fee. The place is very nice and i highly recommend atleast a visit to check it out for yourself
Cool place
Apathetic and distracted staff. If you never need any help with anything, its a beautiful facility, but I hated dealing with the young, clueless staff. Young or older, most of the staff acts like youre bothering them if you need anything. We were never offered a tour when we signed up, and cancelling my account was a pain. Nice facility, pretty expensive, if you can deal with the kinda flippant attitude there, then go for it, but there are better, cheaper options. Even in Ponca.

In my opinion. Equipment is either occupied with under age and unsupervised kids or broken. Staff members nap in locker room. Hours are not the best. Some staff is nice and helpful.
Always a favorite , fantastic trainers , great classes , equiptment , always have suppies to cleab equiptment when o e is finished to show proper curiosity. Lockers , private dressing rooms ,and showers . Great place all way around .
This place is great, it costs quite a bit more than a typical gym, but it has a rock wall, pool, full gym, walk/jog/run track, and plenty of exercise equipment. This place must have cost a fortune to build!

Not what Id call handicap friendly when the buttons to push to open the doors dont work and havent since Ive been going there. Someone at the desk has to push a button in there to open the doors, that is if someone is at the desk.
