Awesome park with well maintained trails. The trail markings could use some work, not many trail markers to be found so quite easy to find yourself on the wrong trail, at least at dusk in the fall anyway, maybe better in the summer when leaves havent fallen. Other than that though I enjoyed the park very much, trails were nice and wide and not difficult perfect for a nice stroll.

Point Au Roche is one of my favorite places on Lake Champlain. Miles of trails to many different bays and points. Trails go through beautiful meadows and cedar and oak forests

We came here on a family trip to the Adirondacks and were so happy with our visit. The park was almost empty when we visited. There was ample parking, picnic tables where we ate lunch, a playground, a beach, and tons of places to hike through the park. We hiked along the P Walker and Long Point trails to Rocky Point and back and had a wonderful time. There’s a boat launch too and it made me really want a boat someday to bring back here. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend a June afternoon.

Beautiful state park and only 7-8$ to get in for the day. Theres lots of trails for those wanting to traipse through the woods. For the water lovers kayaking, very nice beaches or canoeing are available. Definitely a great place to go for a swim or spend the day in nature.

Went for a mini trail walk. Met some unleashed dogs along the way. They were very friendly, albeit wet, and their owners were nearby. I was pleased to see that not all trails were covered in ice, but they were still quite muddy so make sure to bring adequate footwear (we went late November). Never knew a beach could be nice in the winter, a pleasant surprise.

Quiet beaches. Great playground for the children with rubber pellets to soften their landings. Nice picnic areas as well. We went by to do some family pictures. Weather was great and the lake was like glass!

Beautiful park with lots of great teail options, either on the water or the horse trails. The level of difficulty is quite low, more of an easy walk. It is a great place for a trail run to amp up your physical effort. This time of year is great, the foliage is growing back and not too damp or buggy.

Point Au Roche State Park is a gorgeous place to go for a little out door time. You will see fisherman, kayakers, sailers, boaters, walkers, runners, horse riding, bike riding, dog walking... Just about everything! The views are spectacular and the park is dog and family friendly. Bring your camera and be prepared for natures reminders to look up and enjoy it.. should you get the urge to look at your phone as you walk. The rocks and roots on the paths will give you a swift reminder not to walk and text, unless you are looking to get a good up close sniff of the fresh dirt or horse poo.

This was the first time my wife and I went for a hike along the trails even though weve stayed across the street at Point Au Roche Lodge numerous times over the last few years and we both commented on how we should have done it sooner! The trail was super nice and seemingly well maintained. The board at the start of the trail mentioned pamphlets that describe all the stops along the way, sadly there were no pamphlets, the buildings on site where you park were not manned nor did they haver any description of what they were, we were left a little confused as where to park for the different trails or if there were bike trails or which entrance lead to what?Ultimately we made our way down to the point and back and enjoyed it every step of the way, Definitely check it out if your in the neighbourhood!

Beautiful park, Located alongside lake Champlain with multiple trails for walking, I highly recommend this park especially if you are looking for a touch of nature without having to hike miles and miles for it.The only complaint I have is that the trails are not marked so it’s a learning curve to figure out where to go and where you are but the exploring is part of the fun!
