My wife and I went to Into The Sun to plan out some tattos for our anniversary. Marty was fantastic and was really easy to work with. I love the tattoo and really appreciated that he was as enthusiastic about the project as I was. He was able to deal with our typical indecision and really make us feel welcome. Looking forward to many more tattoos here in the very near future. Were really happy we chose Into The Sun for our ink.

I have gotten 2 tattoos with Marty. The whole experience from start to finish is what will continue to bring me back. Im in love with both of my tattoos, clean lines, the color looks great. Marty really took care of me and helped ensure my second tattoo had a size, placement, and colors that would look best on me. I mostly told him to do what he wanted. He took my idea and customized it so I liked it even better than the original idea. Theyve earned my trust which is paramount in my eyes.

I got my first tattoo here and had Chris Cusumano as my artist. The shop had a neat atmosphere and everything seemed clean and well organized. Chris made sure I was taken care of and answered all my questions perfectly. I will definitely be going back here.

Booked an appointment for a month and a half out. Cancelled it literally two days later, gave them ample time to fill my slot. I cant afford to get more work done because I have to take care of my mother who is moving in with me from a nursing home. I asked if they could please refund my 80 dollars and they refused to contact me, and kept my money anyway. Horrible way to do business.UPDATE:They did contact me, and offered a gift card that would be good for a year. After everything I really dont want a gift card. Also after the recent Facebook reviews, I REALLY dont wanna do business there.I still wont get over them not refunding me after I gave them so much notice, and a reason.These people absolutley suck, and I hope the recent posts on Facebook close this place down.Have fun hanging in Kensington, loser

Ive gotten all except one ofy 13 tattoos from Benny and he is the absolute best. I dont trust anyone but him to put something so permanent on my body. His artwork is amazing and he takes an idea and makes something absolutely amazing out of it. I still get compliments on a tattoo that Id going to be 10 years old and people think its new.

So I created an appointment over email to come in and get tattoos with my girlfriend. They responded to emails very fast and got all the information they needed early. I had sent in a picture of another tattoo that I wanted and Janine went above and beyond redisigning it. My girlfriend had some issues with her tattoo that she wasnt happy with and we had come back the following day to see if it could be fixed. And they offered to fix everything she disliked about it and improve it as much as they could until she loved it for no extra charge. It was wonderful to see such great customer service coming from a new tattoo shop to town. I will happily come back here for all my future tattoos.

After visiting several different shops in the area, I chose Into the Sun. The shop is spotless, staff is professional and their process is organized and includes the client in the creative process. Both Janine and Benny are truly talented artists and will work to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your design prior to starting any inking. I felt welcomed and comfortable by the entire staff and I left the shop with the intention of going back for more. First impressions were that this is a beautiful place, with attention to making the customer comfortable.I found this shopping through Instagram and after reviewing the work done by all the artists on their individual pages, I decided the apprentice Alex was the artist I should go to.Alex did an amazing job. My design was circular Gallifreyan and Alex worked with me completely to follow all the rules for placement and alignment. I was nervous because (tattooed) circles are hard but she got me through my reservations and Im glad for it because the results are gorgeous. She took her time and made sure all the details were correct and didnt hesitate when I decided mid tattoo that I wanted color.If this is the work I can expect from an apprentice, Im gonna have to see what the pros can do as well.Super great work in an awesome shop.Sterile, professional, friendly and talented.Ill be back.

If youre looking for a clean shop, friendly AND approachable artists then this is the place to get a tattoo. Besides the artwork, what drew me to this shop was the fact that 3 women work there. As a woman, I found that very comforting and didnt feel intimadated what so ever when i first walked in. (Benny, who I believe is the owner of the shop was also very friendly as well. In fact all the staff were super nice !) My tattoo artist was Alex. and she was very honest and upfront about the shops deposit and cancellation policy. She was also upfront about what kind of style of tattooing she excells at. I sent her pictures of what I would like the tattoo to be and she exceeded all my expectations. She was also very accomondating when i had to reschedule our session and change the tattoo design. (My employment strongly discourages visible tattoos so i had to have a plan B) The tattoo took about 3 and a half hours and for me, wasnt too painful. She even took time to look at one of my old tattoos I want to cover up. I will be going back to her for more ink. I encourage anybody thinking about getting tattooed, make this your first stop. You will NOT be disapointed.

So this would have been my first tattoo. I payed $50 to book an appointment with the shop owner Benny. As we plan my tattoo I tell him that I am leaving for Florida in 3 days and ask if I should get the tat when i get back. Benny said he was just returning from vacation and that he needed money. He told me that this was a business and that he needed to get paid. Brushing that off I ask if its still a good idea to get the tattoo today, he tells me it will be fine and we can do a base layer so he can get $250. Not really sure that I am going to get the tattoo that day I continue to pick out what I want and to try to get him to draw it up. At first he didnt want to draw it up he tried to assure me he is good at what he does. Really starting to get sketched out I insist he draws it up. After he draws it up and tries to talk me into just getting a base layer that night. Totally sketched out that he would insist on me getting it because he needs money even though i am going to the beach. I tell him its no good and Ill get it when Im back. He tells me he is desperate for money and asks to put another $100 down. Regrettably I did, I should have left long before leaving only the $50 but that was my mistake. After I went home and thought about everything that happened there was no way I was going back there. Dude was rushing what I wanted, didnt seem to want to put work into my art, and was telling me the tattoo would be ok even though i would be at the beach for a week. All in all I lost $150 a looks like I wont be getting any of it back. Bennys gf the co-owner said she would give me back $50 but never responded to my email. So this is my $150 review of the shop. Im sure the artists are good but seeing how sketchy the owner is I will never go back and I will never recommend this shop to any of my friends.
