Great place in the heart of the art district. This area has a lot of colorful locations with events held every first Friday of the month. This is also one of the big spots to find other artists and photographers.

First time out there. Lots of folks displaying there talents in music, arts, crafts etc. Lots of food as well. Different flavors and styles. I had lots of fun, will be back next month!

Great collection of all sorts of art! Easy to walk and enjoy many different murals. Start with the map wall so you know where to go. Great food along the way too.

First Friday was incredible. Its my favorite place to go once a month. I was able to go through their online website and map out the locations I wanted to visit. Its huge! What we did was get a ride share to drop us off directly where we wanted to start and it was such an amazing time. Everyone is so so so so incredibly creative and friendly.

Food, entertainment, and people watching extraordinaire. Stroll down Roosevelt between 7th Street and 1st Avenue. Walk the South side of street first as it has most of the booths, galleries, and people. The north side of Roosevelt get busy later. Experience some Jazz for free at the Nash Jazz Club at 1st Avenue. The whole scene is loaded with diverse, well behaved young folk.

As usual so much fun! This season the live music and dancing was on another level. There was a silent DJ party, live DJs, concerts and more. Additionally the booths have quadrupled in numbers and there were so many food trucks. Very proud of the growth of First Friday!

Good walking area with lots to eat, see, & experience. Noticed quite a number of police officers present. Loved the street artist drawing charicatures for only $3. Will definitely be back!

Fun street fair! Lots of art and food available. Heavy crowds.

A blend of southwestern funkiness. Art, music, food & unfortunately politics can all be found here. Overall it’s super vibrant and interesting, the major downside is the crowding & lack of restrooms. Also, this place is NOT child friendly, so leave the kids at home,

Me and my son had a blast. It is a kid friendly place. We seen some really cool things. Danced. Had some good food. Met tons of cool people. We plan to go more often.

I always enjoy walking the roosevelt row district. Such amazing talent covers the ways. Never gets boring.

Best time Ive had since I moved here almost three years ago! You can bet that Im going to make this a monthly thing. Great energy and positive vibes. Lots of interesting things to see, you definitely will not have a boring evening!

If you enjoy urban art and murals this area of Phoenix is a must stop for you. The area has several good restaurant choices as well.

I want this to be awesome and it is good but...we need more participation. Patrick with the lamp booth was shining star of available artisans. Also cool graffiti type artists. Just need more peeps!

FF is never a let down. If you love art, food, and/or music, this is the place to be once a month. Its organized enough that its easy to get around and just enough people chaos going on to keep you on your toes. For vendors, your wares will be seen by thousands and for consumers, there is a huge variety of arts, crafts, and all in between. Ive been both, and Im certain you wont be disappointed.

First time Ive been. There were a lot of vendors, a few galleries with art for sale, musicians, and food. Definitely an event to revisit!It was difficult to decide on what food to eat. There was a wide variety. The next time I need to come with a group of people so we can get the bushel of curly fries with gravy that I saw lots of people walking around with.

First Friday is must attend event. Wonderful art, artists, food, people in a very special and mellow atmosphere. Each First Friday is unique and a beautiful memory.

First Friday is a good time whether youre looking to check out some art or some vendors or grabbing a bite to eat or even just walking around. It does get very crowded and there are a bit of high schoolers. This place has something for everyone

A great experience! We didnt get to cover the entire event, as there was just so many family based activities available! From street performers, to food trucks, to just people watching, there is so much to see and do! Definitely have to come to more than one time even begin to enjoy the environment. Not everything will appeal to everyone, but the vibe is mad chill

Wow....just wow. This was the first time my wife and I attended as our daughter was working a booth. So much fun and excitement. An amazing assortment of food, fashion, trinkets and more. The cultural diversity was amazing and the talent of the performers both young and old was refreshing. Fun for the whole family.

Wow. If you dont like crowds, then this not for you. Great place to people watch, there are some interesting people that come out. Lots of vendors, artists and food trucks. As well as galleries that are open late. A much better time in cooler weather.

Love this event!!!! Theres tons to look at and local bands to listen to. The event is the first friday of the month. Its VERY crowded so be prepared to put on a good pair of walking shoes and get your daily exercise. Open to all ages. Love this event! Not my kind of place often, but nice its a nice walk and its worth supporting local talent.

If youve never come downtown for First Friday and youre thinking about it just STOP, dont think about it - just come experience it. There is no other way to explain just how diverse and exciting this once a month event is. Oh and another AMAZING part of First Friday - The Museums are FREE from 6-9 (or 10 for some) - that alone is worth the coming down. Park north of downtown on Central Ave and take the light rail (get a $4 day pass) or park east and do the same. If you are visiting or living here in the valley this is a great way to spend the First Friday night of the month.

Relaxed but festive vibe

First friday is a great way to get out and walk around the uptown city area. There are a wide variety of artists and art work that will fit anyones taste and budget. Also have a great selection of food trucks and coffee set up through out the area.

Awesome people and food all around

Pretty cool place to take pictures, but theres not as much cool things to do there other than go to Bars and eat. But I also wish they had more murals.

So much fun if you dont mind the crowd and walking. Theres lots of art to see and plenty of bars and entertainment to enjoy.

Can’t wait for next month. Last Friday was pretty interesting and seemed way different than from the previous month. I like how they always have new things going on. If you’re looking for something exotic yet calming I recommend going here . You get both thrill and harmony.

Its amazing this event remains so large and impressive every single month all year long! So many artists, vendors, and cool businesses to visit. I always stop in Lacuna for a cold drink before walking around!

The idea of first friday is wonderful! The people that were there because they thought the world was flat was silly, along with the group that were there that believed in not getting your children vaccinated not to mention the other group of people that were there that were yelling , youre going to hell if you dont repent!

Great music, good food, local artist love and funky Phoenix people. Cant go wrong!

Quite a few things to see. Would recommend to go to Nash Jazz Club as well as attending the Heard Museum and Phoenix Museum on First Friday since these are free entry. Spread out what you wanna see over a couple of months. The Heard Museum itself took me 2 hours.

This place used to be very underground many years ago. Then about a decade ago the vendors had to start getting licensed which made it a little less funky. Then the next thing I see there are limousines parked at a place during First Fridays. THE ARTISTS. THE CRAZY ONES THAT USED TO COME HERE AND DO CRAZY THINGS are what made this whole place possible. Do not forget who started this. It was druggies, drunks, poets, painters, street peddlers, artists, crazies and creative people.

Tons of vendors, good food, entertainment. Plus great weather.

Too many tourists Idumeans and snow birds, subsequently there is not much real FLAVOR here, just food and music. Knock yourselves out though.

A great experience celebrating art and culture across Roosevelt and neighboring streets. There are multiple vendors participating during the evening offering a variety of food and merchandise. Street performers fill the street as this family friend affair allows everyone to partake in the activity. This was my first time at the event and I am glad that I went. As the night gets later, the street gets more crowded. I loved the atmosphere and there are plenty of police to ensure that traffic is well managed and people are safety to have an enjoyable evening.

Parking is a nightmare. But once you do find a place to park, it is allot of fun.

We had a lot of fun. Just be warned there is a ton of people and lots of walking. One of the articles I read said parking would be validated for 2 hours at the Arizona Center but thats not correct other than that it was a great night!

My family and i went here, we had a great time... It was a very lively atmosphere, there was so much Original art from artist... Its had like a whole lot of different booth of peoples creativity and i ideas. I feel like the should have had more variety of food and more food trucks. From what i saw there wasnt much . It was a great way to spend an evening w my family. We will most def. be going back.

First Friday is a blast, full of music, food, street performers and artist displaying there art. Great time was had by all.

1st Friday of each month on Roosevelt (between 7th st & 3rd st) This is a block party in the historic arts district. Voted top 20 in the nation. It is an all ages event (locals & tourist). Multiple food trucks along side streets. Art dealers, street vendors & live music. I would highly recommend everyone go at least once. There is no cover. Ride your bike, skatboard or walk.

I love the bands, the art shows are amazing. The culture is just beautiful and eye opening.

Love the vibe, love V street where you can get unique products such as eco friendly, natural shampoo and soaps, uniquely designed yoga mats made out of sustainable materials. Also the vegan pizza and vegan desserts were amazing. Of course all the artwork is beautiful as well!

Always fun to walk around and see different vendors and listen to music. Good place to go and enjoy with the family.

Fun place to visit, shop, shop, see art, dance and eat. It has the charm of a artsy carnival.

Beautiful experience. The art was incredible! And the live music was so fun. However It was so crowded that I could barely walk. They should just shut down the whole street so people can walk. You cant help but shoulder check people when you walk and the lines for food are ridiculous.

This is my favorite activity in phoenix. I love the free museums and all of the great things that are on Roosevelt Row. There is live music, food, lots and lots of art in all forms. I look forward to first fridays every month.

Had a great time looking at the street performers and the endless amount of art and exhibitis

Night started out great then I got into a fight with my boyfriend who never appreciates me trying to show him new things. Dont bring trash individuals with you that will debbie downer your night. in fact, go by yourself and go wherever you want and do whatever you want to do bc that is what first fridays is about.

I love First Fridays on Roosevelt Row. Theres lots of parking ( come early to get a good parking spot). Put on some comfy shoes so you can walk around. There are a lot of performers on the street, and artist selling their art. Lots of people walking the street, which is rare in Phoenix. Lots of different food trucks, and different choices for dinner or dessert. Overall its a really great and unique experience.

It was an experience, not to be missed! Live music festival atmosphere, people dancing in the streets. I only said 4 stars because parking was rough, also finding a restroom was challenging

This event has gotten huge. It’s more of a people watch walk than an art walk though. Lots to do and see. If you hate crowds or noise it might not be such a good idea. Bring cash to make it easier to shop and negotiate with some of the artists. We always park at the Central Library and walk over to Roosevelt.

It was my first time and it was great to see all the performance and all the people. Food was awesome. A good get out spot for a evening

It was my first time and it was fun! The art was cool to look at and it was exciting watching the street performers! I liked the food trucks and the different things to look at and see! We had to park pretty far away which was expected. There were a ton of people though! Overall, I had a great time and would go again!

Always a must if you are visiting from out of town. Be sure to go to First Fridays - it is a free event filled with local artists, food vendors and lots of fun.

We came 2 Phoenix 2 visit family and we can came out 2 enjoy 1st Friday but the traffic was stupid and no parking.
