Great atmosphere. Visiting the Paris Bistro & Jazz Cafe reminded me of my time living overseas. The small tables, close to the other parties, the specialized menu and the service. It was like a jaunt down memory lane. Our server was very nice but seemed to have to many tables to remember serving us. I often had to flag her down for service. We didnt even get our bread basket. We ordered the mussels as a starter. They were supposed to be saffron and curry sauce but ultimately tasted like garlic and butter sauce. They were good but not what we expected. The mains came out shortly after. I had the trout which was recommended and was full of flavor. My mother had the steak frites. The fried however tasted like they were previously frozen and let down the rest of the plate. All in all I would return to try a few other classic items but its not making the top list of places to visit anytime soon.

Went here for brunch and ordered the crab Benedict, which was delicious! Definitely filling and tasty. The potatoes on the side had onions and peppers which gave it a little kick. Nice atmosphere, as it wasn’t too loud even with a musician. I truly felt like I was in Paris! Can’t wait to go back :)

What a great restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, one of the better meals weve had in a long while. Drinks were good and strong as well. We had reservations for the downstairs area with the live band. Definitely a nice touch and a change from your typical restaurants. The extra fee did not bother us, youre in a private area with live music. If that money goes towards paying for the entertainment then why not! Our waiter was on point, always checked in, gave updates on when food was coming out. Never had a sense of waiting for too long or looking for our waiter. Perhaps the girl who greets the customers could be a tad friendlier but she wasnt rude, so not a big deal. Overall, I highly recommend the restaurant and would definitely come back over and over again for the food itself!

While I understand it is the busy holiday season, I called at 6p on Monday, Christmas Eve eve. The phone was answered promptly and politely. I was asked to be placed on a BRIEF hold. No problem . A 30 minute hold later I called on another line to have my questions answered. Do you offer gift cards and where exactly are you located? Yes to gift cards and unsure of location. Unsure if I should get the gift card now.

This was my first time there. I just had lunch for $ 50.00 and the quality of the food was poor. For example, I asked for well done burger and it was rare in the middle. No lobster in the soup that cost $ 13.00. There was no taste for the palate and the salad was a couple of tablespoons . The portions were small. I had to go to another restaurant to get a take out. Although, I addressed the issues, they offered nothing. Customer service was poor. We were the only ones there and no one greeted us or spoke with us i until we were ready to leave and said goodbye . I will never go back under any circumstances. Whatever you do, please do not spend your hard work earned money there.

If you are up for fancy french food - this is your place. We went for the Jazz cafe as some really good bands play here on weekends. Since the jazz cafe has quite limited seating area - reserve ahead of time. Cocktails are really nice and you can get a wide variety of wine by the bottle. Unfortunately there is extremely limited Vegetarian and Vegan option hence we couldnt order any food for the two times we went. We really hope they will add some vegetarian and vegan dishes to cater to more people. If you are going for music please be cooperative to the band and other customers by not engaging in conversations, since the place is small it acts as a major distraction. If you want enjoy the good with friends/family choose the upper seating area.

We had a very memorable dinner here last weekend. The staff was delightful, and the food was tasty. Next time Ill know to ask to upgrade the steak frites to truffle fries (and now you know!). The flatbread appetizer was wonderful. I also enjoyed some of the escargot garlic oil on some bread, although my husband enjoyed the escargot. The menus are delightfully French - and if you have proof of French citizenship, you can get a complementary glass of champagne. Paris is the owners name, and they have done a delightful job in creating this lovely French bistro.

Our latest experience at Paris for brunch was very different from our previous experiences. They were missing 2 servers which accounts for the slow and somewhat disorganized service. My brunch burger came out raw/rare, although I asked for medium rare. We also realized afterward that it was missing the onion jam and other key ingredients. Disappointing for what used to be one of my top 10 restaurants.

The ambiance was nice, but the service was slow; although, I give our waitress credit because she was waiting tables inside and outside. Also, I ordered my steak medium rare, but received a well done steak. I waited several minutes for a new steak, meanwhile my husband had to eat his meal before it got cold. By the time my food arrived, hubby had finished his meal. The chef knew the steak was not what I requested and still plated it to be served to the customer. Not cool! This was to be our 18th wedding anniversary dinner and we both agreed that we made a mistake going with Paris Bistro. On a positive note hubbys duck was good, but overall this was our worst dining experience to have cost $175.

I have been a few times, but I expect this time will be the last. They didnt bring out the food at the same time. They ignored our table as several of us sat with empty glasses, yet they were not busy by any stretch of the imagination. The staff does not seem to have undergone any training. When our glasses were finally refilled, they said nothing about soda refills being an extra charge, which is not the standard in the area. The food is fine, but unremarkable. At one point, a staff member approached the table and asked if we wanted her to take anything from the table in a rather odd interaction that left us feeling like she wasnt sure how or when to bus a table. Overall, the experience was bad because of the poorly trained staff. The food and setting were fine. Theres no reason they cant train or hire competent staff and have a pretty good restaurant. I wish them luck, but I wouldnt go there without hearing of some changes.tl;dr: the service isnt good, the food is fine, regular drink refills being an extra charge is a surprise

Upon arrival @ 4:55 for a 5:00 reservation we were told that we had to wait to be seated due to a staff meeting that was occurring. In what universe should a paying customer with a reservation have to wait until a staff meeting is over to be seated. This is unacceptable. While in the restaurant we observed one employee making an obscene gesture to another employee. The amount of food received for the price was absurd. The rolls were hard. The Lamb Chop my wife had was small and fatty. The Creme Brule was too sweet. We were not impressed.

I like Paris bistro a lot and want to give it 5 stars but I have an issue with the service when you come in. I made reservations twice, we come in and it takes about 5 minutes for someone to come up and greet us! After we are greeted by 2 people, nice girls but not solid knda air headiish....thry could not find our reservation...I called it in on that day 5 hours in advance, the girl on the phone was all over the place. Nonetheless we get seated and downstairs and the music was great, as well as, the waitress. My gripe is the greeters and the people who answer the phone. Tjey need to be trained better, it is very annoying when people are all over the place. Whst of the place was at capacity and we could not be seated because she did not put oir reservation down. This happened twice. Other than that, nice little cozy place for some good jazz and the food isnt bad.

It’s fine. Somewhat over-priced for the standard of cooking but it seems to be quite popular with locals. The setting is beautiful and the staff are incredibly polite and efficient, however I did find the cover charge for the downstairs area quite cheeky. I understand completely that it is to off-set the cost of the live music, but surely that’s already reflected in the menu prices? I personally would not make a special trip just to come to this restaurant.

This is definitely a swanky place to visit. If youre looking for a real upscale experience with a cool modern vibe and a more mature crowd, this is the place to go. The food was delicious. The cool part of this joint is the basement jazz bar. I was hoping that the basement vibe would be a little more lively and fun, but the people who attend expect complete silence to listen to the music. It is definitely a snobby place. I would pick my night to visit wisely.

If I could give Paris 5 stars I would but an obvious change in either ownership or kitchen management will forfeit that. An obvious cutting the corners method has started with this old time chestnut hill classic. The staff is great, the bartenders are always a bit slow and mediocre but other than that this is a really nice place to go in the area. The food is classic and fresh, mostly. I just wish they kept that French flair that they are known for.

Great jazz group tonight. They played three long sets. The atmosphere in the club is perfect for jazz. The food was well prepared and quite tasty, but we were there for the music. The meal became a little pricey as they charged for everything à la carte including 2 glasses if club soda for $3 each. They included a $15 entertainment charge, which was not unreasonable considering the high quality of the jazz performers. The website had said the change would be $10. Id give more than 5 stars for the entertainment, 3 stars for the food and service, and a caveat to watch yourself if money is tight. Its definately worth it if you want good music.
