Penn relays fan. Annual ticket holder. Love the competition and the memories. Read carefully the limitations of bag content permitted for entry. They could do better at the entry gates with the long lines and wait time. Come early.

This iconic stadium sits right on the outskirts of Center City Philadelphia. So that means you get great views if the city! I mean so good that its worth while to visit at 6 am in the morning just to see how different the view can be from 6 pm. Im not event talking about the events held there. From ivy league football to all the sports from the University to the historic Penn Relays this place is amazing!

Oh wow! the history thats contained within this stadium is unbelievable, the Penn relays, along with the history of the school itself gives you goosebumps. And to watch our son play football in this stadium and win is awesome ️ and bringing along our Amish family to watch their first football game is priceless. Congrats Dartmouth football team! It was great going to support my School Edwin Allen running in the Penn Relays and represent Jamaica! The experience getting into the field was awful, security was ridiclously telling people they could not bring in their purses and any other bags could not enter if not clear. Our bags were clear bc we checked the website. Even with doing so, security still took measures to still restrict items outside of what was mentioned on the website as okay to bring. The lines were very long and people were being turned away some of which came on bus trips!!!! I told security then I am going to write the school because they need to know of the mistreatment and how it was ridiculous to be experiencing the negativity from staff!!When leaving the stadium I along with others went to go and retrieve our purses and to our astonishment found that the purses were disrespected just as much as we were and thrown allllllll over the ground! Smdh... I could not find my purse as well as many others. Im sure some did not even know the purses were laying there on the ground. I mentioned to a cop standing there that I was going to make a report about it and they said we should because it was out of line for staff to have done that! Here is a picture Penn State doooo better! Train your staff to be able to effectively handle a crowd and make sure to not make up rules as they go along and then disrespect the patrons who paid good money for tickets to support the event! I could go on and on but I will restrict my details from this post and save it for my letter to the school. This was the only thing that made the experience horrible! Jamaica as always came to the Penn Relays and showed out in the most positive ways!! Great runners, Great races, no violence, pure love and warmth flowing thru the stands, and we even got to be on camera for a documentary for the school of the Penn Relays!! How dare they take our purses as women, (what woman leaves her purse) so why would they expect us to not bring our purses into the stadium and these are small purses , personal purses, those that chose to leave their purse we had to hold our things that we could in our hands and stuff pockets those that could do so. Others were turned away and had to stand in the line again (not a fun experience) if they had somewhere to go and leave their purse. People and groups were broken up and held up! It was disastrous and Penn State really needs to find a better way to handle their entrance procedures into the Field. I frequent events and never experienced such disgusting tactics, and rules and treatment of people! There were no drugs no weapons just pure fun and great people coming to enjoy the races!... And we proved that!!!!! Penn State replace my Michael Kors it was a gift and jad sentimental value which I also stated to the security that took my purse so I could enter the field. I had 2 young children with me so I could not just turn around try to locate the bus I came on if the driver was still even sitting where we were dropped off blocks from the stadium and then try and fight the crowd again so I elected to leave my purse with them in order to enter the field after having waited in line for soooooooooo long. This is the picture I took to show just one side of where purses were. A security team memeber informed me if I did not find my purse on that side I could go on another side and purses could be found there too... Thrown and sprawled alllll over the pavement with no REGARDS!!!!! Shame shame shame... Check out my picture.... Utter disgust!!!!!!

Inquired about renting the field for a regional bowl game years ago and the woman quoted me $61,000 for the field alone. They were $20,000 more than Lincoln Financial and $22,000 more than M&T Bank Stadium. Laughable. We ended up getting a package deal from Towson University and the hotel near by that was less than this proposal for 4 days of food, housing for 80 players and 4 days use of the field (Dec 27-Dec 30).They are in la la land.

Come ye, who wish to revel in the sweat and festivities of our great oval. Many laps await you. Enjoy the bountiful selection of overpriced yet filling shakes from Brysi, a fountain of refreshment indeed. You will surely revel in the chance to watch, nay even participate, in the great sport of track and field. Beware the folly of newcomers, and know that lane 4 be the true 400m lap.During the great Penn Relays, count yourself among the company of many enthusiasts and Jamaicans. They will befriend you. Feast as you witness many skinny young people complete many seemingly arbitrary laps, and larger more impressive young people complete less distance while looking better.

There were no rails/metal handles or something to hold on to on stairs going to second level. The seat numbers were erased so it was hard to locate our seat. Tickets to the event did not explain where in the stadium we were to go. Lines for bathrooms were ridiculous. Food lines were crazy and you couldnt carry somethings inside. I was a bit disappointed as I drove 4 hrs to get there and it was not what the hype is at all. But the event was not bad. Organization at the stadium, facilities and food needs improvement.

Classic Ivy League setting reaping with history and a brand new track for fast times. THIS REVIEWS FRANKLIN FIELD AND NOT PENN RELAYS WHICH IS IN DIRE NEED OF SOME NEW BLOOD OR A FULL TRANSFUSION AND CLEAR THINKING. Too bad parking at large events is very limited. The stadium bathrooms are very up to date for 1954 and the top decision makers should be forced to use them for a week or more until they update. Getting there by car is fraught with risk of highway traffic jams. By all means never make my mistake to take South Street as a shortcut to I95 and bypass heavy highway traffic unless you have extra half hour to sightsee the many many many blocks of one slow lane festooned with frequent red traffic lights admiring the charm and boutique shopping eating and drinking faux old establishments or want a detour to finally decide for yourself who wins the greatly publicized war of the cheesteaks at Pats and Ginos wid of course. Brilliant marketing...I suspect they are secret loving first cousins. And take the cannoli.
