Closest highest,small mountain you can reach,snowed up there last night,pretty!

Besides Trails up the mountain on either side of the Access Auto Road the views are exceptional for the area and on a great day you can see the White Mountains including Mount Washington. In September and October and part of November New Hampshire Audubon runs a hawk migration watch which is extremely interesting. The people that run it are always very grateful to have visitors and theyre always willing to answer questions as well as hand you a pair of binoculars and ask you to help scan the skies.This location is one of the best Hawk watches in New England.

Beautiful view from the top, was glad they let you drive up. Recommend reserving online if youre going during leaf peeping season. On a clear day, you can see the tall buildings in Boston, 40+ miles away.

My pups first mountain hike!!!! I did the marion davis trail up and the auto road down! My golden, rexi, has bad hips but rhe marion trail was perfect for her!!I believe it costed me 4$ to park. I was welcomed with big smiles from the park entrance crew! They gave rexi a dog cookie and me a map!! They gave me a detailed description of the trails! It was a busy saturday and lots of hikers were there!!!Bathrooms were located at the bottom parking area as well as at the top! There is also a small little store with snacks and goodies at the top! You can also drive to the top of the mountain! I will definately be going back!! The marion trail is a bit easier!! It took me around 45-60min to get to the top (i stopped a few times for my dog to have water!!
