First time here after 12 yrs of living here and will definitely be back! The Neon Retro Arcade Pasadena was good but the michelada was on point!!! Better then many authentic Mexican restaurants!

Like the environment. Modern place with old-fashioned games. Would be great if it was just a little bigger, but still totally worth it. Love the pay per hour price. Miles was really nice. Cant wait to go back!

Super cool place to hang out that takes anyone back to the origins of video games history. Lost of classic video games as well as some (3 at the moment of this review) pinball machines as well as two more modern interactive team games. Some of these classics include Centipede, Dig Dug, Pac Man, Space Invaders and many more. Lots of excitement and memories to relive here. Friendly, polite and knowledgeable attendants. Best choice made to take our kids there to celebrate ones 12th birthday. From being actively involved in playing more modern games he was absolutely astonished to personally play the classic. So much so that long after this visit, conversations still arise often enough about this whole experience. Both of my kids enjoyed it very much as well as others that were also there and demonstrated pleasant experiences as well adults. Will definitely recommend and prices are very affordable.Happy Gaming...!!!

Just want I wanted: classic arcade games, and some 80s music in the background. Nothing else.

The place was great! Lots of classical style arcade game play. But I do wish there was more unique games. Its mainly just street fighting style games, two shooting games, a few unique one franchise games like leap frog and Tetris, and then driving games.

It has a lot of games that you can choose from. I enjoyed almost all the games I played. I think the music was awesome. when I played, for example: in galaga I made broke my record.Thank you :) :o :OLucas Rosales 10yrs old

Ive been to neon retro arcade in the past, few times that brought good memories back playing games ive played growing up.Reason i am writing a review is because of kindness of co owner Mia. I planned a birthday event for my daughter and her friends 3 weeks prior. I could not get the day i wanted since this place seems popular for events and taken already, so i booked the day after.However, for personal matter, i had to cancel a week after, and Mia was very kind to understand my excuse and accomodated my request to make changes.Business owners like her should be acclaimed for their kindness. Thank you Mia.

Me and my fiance went to this arcade to escape into a world of classic gaming. We had a fabulous time in the prices were awesome for $10 you can basically play any game you want for a whole hour. This is a place where I recommend going with at least another person so that you can play the two-player games to the fullest but for me and my fiance we didnt need more than an hour and we enjoyed ourselves very much.

My husband found this little gem. So much fun! Only downside is parking, but its Pasadena so pretty much expected.

Went here for my friends birthday we had a really fun time,it’s a bit small but the place is well kept with clean floors and bathrooms it’s in a pretty weird position that makes it pretty easy to walk right past it but once you do find it you’ll have a great time inside.

Arcade for hours. For people who have gone to arcades as a kid, this is a must go to place. $10/hour is something Im sure anyone can afford. They do have Super Smash Bros. for more current generation but if you are into retro games. They do carry most of the great classics.

Great idea. Lots of fun for old farts like me. I got the high score on Asteroids, the one game I liked at college. My eleven year old son was a little bemused by some of the games, and I got the impression that the little ones had no idea what was going on without an iPad or iPhone or Xbox being involved. Some good pinball tables but they need a little maintenance.

Unheard of place but glad my sister found it. My son had a blast. Thank you for the awesome time. Please go support it is well worth it.

Loved visiting this place it was throwback my inner child was just jumping from game to game we got a groupon and was much cheaper for a whole day u can pay per hour or for over all time its really something to experience if ur a throwback gamer at heart or even to bring ur kid to show em the games of olden time hahaha they also swap out games from time to time so the rotation is real n good to go when u see something u wana play cuz u might not get to experience a certain game u see but if u check there website its as up to date i believe

I have been planning to come to this place and finally made the long drive to go to Neon Retro Arcade with my family and it was great to see so many of the classic arcade collections. It brought back memories when I was child playing them at the arcades. I was hope to give my kids the same experience but unfortunately it was not a good one.Issues startled to unfold once we started playing the games. Many of the arcade games, you can feel joy stick really lose and not stiff which made (at times) the game hard to play and some cabinet buttons would get stuck or was not getting the push feedback. My daughter inform me that there were some the games that had sticky buttons as if they were not wiped down after being used. The worst ones were the steering wheels of the racing games by the entrance. They were so lose, the cars we selected to drive were not aligned properly with the wheel which caused us to drive off the race track course. Also there were issues with the cars transmission, my daughter selected automatic but for some strange reason the car would stay in 2nd or 3rd gear. I tried changing gears for her thinking she accidentally chose manual but it did not work.Another issue we encountered was lack of customer service. The two employees were stuck behind the counter watching a show or TV on their iPad and never came to check in with me or my family to see how our experience was going or if we had any issues or feedback. I understand it might be a slow sunday night and I am not hosting a private event but would have been nice if one of the employees would have checked in. Also I would have appreciated if the restroom had a changeable table to change my toddlers diaper. Instead I had to change him on the restroom floor.Overall, it did not go what I expected. I will say the prices is reasonable, like the 90s-2000s rock music and place looks cool but unfortunately I would not be making the drive again.

Good idea. Execution is so-so. Side is small so if theyd a few people in there getting from the back to the dont or vice versa can prove difficult add the leaves between machines get crowded. A great console gaming area in the back

It was a fun place to play the old fashioned video games that I played in the 80s. Good place to hang out for a little bit play some games then have a meal later.

If u grew up in the 80s this place will send u back to the good old days. I grew up in the 90s/00s and I thought it was cool but felt like it was missing a whole generation of gaming. (no super Nintendo or sega). $15 gets you an hour of unlimited free play time .. and thats all youll really need..

Walk down memory lane for many Arcade kids I’m sure. Pricing is good if you want to be worry free. Technically you’d need to play 40 games an hour to be worth your $10. But that’s at the original $.25 play.Anyway, great way to spend a couple hours and have a good old school fun.

A very nice arcade experience. A lot of arcades Ive been to in my life carry a certain atmosphere where if youve never been, then you dont belong. But here it feels open to anyone and feels very light and easy going in its vibe. $10 for an hour of unlimited play and some of the best classic arcade games out there. Very worth the price if admission.

Pretty cool place to go. You pay for an hour worth of time and you can play everything. A little small but it was fun.

10 bucks for unlimited games for an hr. I enjoyed the selection on hand.

Just OK place. Was looking for some pinball machines, but they only had 4 machines and 1 wasnt working. The video.game machines were a little too close together. Hard to play without bumping into the person on the game next to you. I wont be going back.

Good old fashioned aracdes at a good price

Small warm welcoming place. The arcade cabinets are the original ones :) it was nice to see some of the games from my child years. It also have some video games consoles for the younger generation. I just wish it could have some dancing games.

It was awesome! Great retro games even my millennial teenage kids two boys and girl who are addicted to their phones and PlayStations thought it was awesome are now jealous of our childhood and have been bugging us to go back. We will be returning soon.

Its a great place for the whole family. Well for the ones that can reach the machines and or gas pedal to play. My daughters n I had a good time but mind you I was with my 2 n 5 yrs old. Its a great place for teenagers to come hang out. Great customer service ! Defenally coming back

Brought me back to my old days in downtown la or the corner dairy. Almost wanted to use thread and quarter trick or straw trick to get credits, but only 10 bucks for an hour was nice. My little guys had a blast and will be coming back.

The selection wasnt the most extensive, but you could easily stay in for 2-3 hours without getting bored. Well-maintained machines, and all buttons work. Thats a huge problem with a lot of arcades, but this one had no issues!

This place could be a lot better if they didnt charge you by the hour. They should have a free play and only charge one price and play as long as you want. If the place was bigger they could incorporate food and drinks. This place is what it is but its cool to check out the old games. They also have a Nintendo system.

This place satisfies my children and the inner child in me. Im an 80s mom that grew up with these video games and Im happy to see that my kids love them just as much too. This is a fun, safe place for the kids to spend time and affordable too. $10 an hour. Cheaper than a babysitter! :-) lets me sit down and take a bit of a break with my boys.

This is a good spot to come by with friends or with your young family to kill an hour with some good fun. Many of the games are indeed retro, and are fun to play if the free-to-play option didnt make it too easy. The Pinball machines tend to break down really easily because of overuse, bur thankfully the attendants are always nearby to fix the problem. Consider coming here to practice for that Pinball tournament in your life.

For $10 an hour you can feel like a kid playing classic games. Its a flat entrance fee. No need to carry quarters. I played Super Mario Brothers the whole time. It was fun trying to remember the hidden things.

Great place for old school video games really retro stuff I was raised with from Pac-Man donkey Kong to spy Hunter all the old-school games he wants I think he stay for about an hour unlimited games definitely worth it in the heart of Pasadena will be coming back again

One of the coolest places Ive been to. They have all the old school games. Pinball is what Im into and totally worth going to.

My son and I had so much fun, we played with people we dont even know, everyone was so friendly!

Take me back to my childhood and keep me there! This is an awesome new place to hang out in Pasadena. I love their $10 an hour unlimited play. Kids under a certain age play for free and they have little stools for the kids to use to help them see the games. It is a fun way to pass the time and you can find any retro game that you used to love playing here!

Great deal, especially if you use Groupon. Its smaller than I thought, but I had a good time. Lots of retro video games. I expected kids to run into me, but many adults did and hovered over kids to play next game. Overall, it was a good experience. I recommend getting a pass of at least 2 hrs, as time seems to fly by.

Took my man and our boys to this arcade. it was $10 per person for an hour. at first I was put off by the price but decided to go for it. the facility is an decent size with good selection of old school games, pin ball machines and a few newer selection of games. I would say it is a good mix of classic games and newer games. this place has something for everybody. my boys really enjoyed it here. I reccomend this place for an hour of fun, we will be coming back, we enjoyed neon retro arcade (even though there was nothing neon about this arcade)

A little pricey at $10 a pop but we had a blast here playing a bunch of the retro games we played as kids. Let me tell you they seemed a lot harder than we remembered but it was a really fun time. Excellent spot for a retro date night with plenty of bars and foods in the area to visit afterwards.

I found out about this on Groupon and loved it. They had arcade, pinball, and console games. Its a little small but they had so much variety it didnt even matter. I loved it and really enjoyed myself.

I was really excited to see this place. They charge $10 per hour admission to get in and all machines are set to free play. I was finally able to play through the entire star wars trilogy game without blowing through $20 in quarters!Overall, they had a great vibe. Game selection was great (and they have a have a game list on their site) less pinball than I was hoping for but thats ok. 10/10 would come again.

My husband purchased a voucher from Groupon that included 2 hours of play time for 4 people. It was a great deal, only $44 bucks not to shabby. It was my husband, myself, and my two boys ages 4 & 9. We arrived around 4:30 and I thought it would have been packed more than it was but to my dismay not too bad. They give you a sticker with a time stamp to place on your arm that way they know when your time is up. Simple enough.Great games for all and with unlimited plays, what else do you need! Love the nostalgia, it was amazing to watch my children play the games I once had played when I was their age.The only reason I gave them 4 stars was because of the room accommodation. As the night went on and more people were showing up the ventilation and air circulation could have been better.All in all check it out, we will for sure be going back!

Its a cool spot with a good variety of games. Ranging from vintage faves like centipede, to retro platformers like Mario, and more recent classics. They also have a console setup, but I wasnt able to see what they offered other than Smash Bros. The pay by hour model is pretty reasonable, but I get the feeling some people use that to squat on a game for hours (looking at you, street fighter broz.) The employee are cool and the vibe of the space is rad, but it can get cramped when its busy.

This place is AMAZING... One fee and you can play all the video games available. What a nostalgic place. You pay per hour and its open play, so no quarters needed. It has most of the classic arcade games (there was no NBA jam). My kids (ages 7-13 boys and a girl) really enjoyed it too. We spent 2 hrs. there.
