It was the first time going to this park found it on Google. It was an excellent time had a little bit of issue finding some of the paths. Lots of wildlife and water veiws. Many families were there. Going back again soon. Great place to bring your child or children. Lots of parking. The mosquitoes were bad but thats because you are on the river shoreline.

Okay the park is absolutely awesome and clean, but whats up with the park closing at 5:00pm in the fall? Its still light outside for goodness sake. It was a beautiful day and I had to pack my family up and leave at 5:00? When just a few weeks earlier the Park closed at 7:00pm?

A blast for families of all ages! We enjoyed the open field for badminton, but there was plenty of space and at the other end of the field there was a Wedding Party taking beautiful photos. There are tennis courts, playground equipment and basketball courts too. We only used the field, because of social distancing from Covid-19 pandemic but it was very scenic.

Nice open area. Theres a baseball field, basketball courts, and a tennis court. Nice trails around the lake with some designated areas for fishing. Plenty of benches for a nice picnic with family theres also a playground thats rather large and appears quite clean and nice. Overall a nice place.

Peaceful and quiet park. I went here today: being in the present moment, watching the birds, hugging the trees. It felt nice to be in nature.

Been to this park a few times, usually has a good crowd there, but easy to spot your kiddos. Has a bathroom, but is not next to the playground. There are little trails through the woods to get to the pond.

This place is great. Recently updated and had lots of new things like a large swing that I can only describe was on a zip line, several slides, and an instrument area. Theres also plenty of tables and benches for picnics and relaxing. Tennis and basketball courts. I was surprised that the bathroom was pretty clean too.

Nice place to fish. Trail goes most (all?) the way around the lake with multiple quiet spots to fish at if you dont want to be on the main entryway dock area. Mostly small game, but some bass can be found here as well.

Very nice! Theyve done a lot of updates that look great. We like to walk around and play Pokemon. Plenty of stops/gyms.

Nice clean park to have a good walk or take kids to the park.

First time there. Place seemed nice at first. Didnt catch many fish. While my son was in the playground area, a bunch of parents started getting into and cursing up a storm. Pretty much emptied the place because everyone was scared. Cops came and that was enough for me. May come again but wont go out of my way.

My kids and I love this park! We haven’t been here in a very long time so it’s the first timeseeing the new playground equipment and my kids had so much fun playing here yesterday! This is our new favorite park and we will be coming back!

Nice park. The area around the lake is pretty to walk around, and theres a big playground, picnic tables, and sports fields.

Its a pretty decent park to take the kids to play, have a cookout or just shoot the breeze and walk the trails. For the most part the restrooms have been very clean any time Ive visited. Great place to go play ball as well. Not sure if anyone has mentioned before but there are 3 pavilions you can rent for events or a special occasion. Theres one large pavilion and two smaller ones. The large called Blue Jay is right by the playground. The two smaller ones the Goldfinch and Chickadee are side by side in the wooded area on the lake side of the park. Ill be having my baby shower here in June so Ill give an updated review then according to my experience. Ill be adding a few pics of the Chickadee pavilion below. I hate that they dont have photos of the pavilions for you to see before renting. So figured Id help out. There are 8 tables and 3 grills to each small pavilion. When you go on there site they mislead you to think each small pavilion is only $100 to rent. However once you go to book that isnt the case. The Goldfinch is $100 to rent but the Chickadee is $160 to rent. Even though they are side by side the Chickadee costs more because it is considered to be the most private of the two. Although I feel this is bs it isnt my call so just that Id add that.

Love this park. Fun for kids, fishing, jogging, nature. Has a fairly new park, basketball court, sport fields, small bridge and trails. Our go to place when we want a small well kept park to go to in the area.

I am so happy to see that this place has been given some care. Very happy with the playground and how they have improved the park.

Clean park. Easy to navigate. Nice lake views. Bathrooms need work! Only 1 sink was working, stalls could use a paint job or replacing. Overall family friendly lovely park!

Ive been there a lot as a kid to the playground, which is very nice since it got redone quite a few years ago. But the trails are much nicer than I thought. They run along the lake in through the woods with a lot of paths to choose from. Tight paths though so passing people can get tedious but overall its a very nice park.

This is a really great place to go on short walks. We have spent many hours here wandering around finding all kinds of wildlife and learning plant names. My kid really likes the playground there too.

Very nice place well maintained, and clean, the pond is small not deep, just small fish for whoevers looking for fishing, a lot of ducks gees ,and turtles there.

I came here to clear my head and do some litter pickup. The people who are in charge of maintaining this land are doing such an amazing job. Please come visit and leave no trace.

Really liked the updated play equipment. The kids had an awesome time. They didnt want to leave and made me promise to return soon. I myself have been coming to Lake Waterford since I was a child in the 80s and it was an awesome park then. It has only gotten better with time and Im hopeful that with continued support and help the lake will come back to its former glory when you could pull nice size fish any day of the week.

Nice trails and fishing. Great for an easy hike with a mix of wide and narrow trails. Decent range of animal life from the fish, birds, and even a couple beavers. Went during the spring so I can see how it might get muggy in late summer.

Really pretty view of the Lake but not easy to walk around.

This park is beautiful there are some things to do there is a park for the kids and a lake to see the ducks and geese. You can fish or even hike the trails to see more wildlife. You can go and have a party or picnic with the family or friends. Great place to be outside. There are basketball courts, baseball field, football field and even a tennis court so much to do.

Had a great time here. There were tons of people and lil ones out there even though a little breezy. Looks like it is fairly new (i just moved here so I am unsure). It is also one of the few parks in the area that have free entry... that is awesome.

I have always loved this park. Its an Awesome place to take the dog for a walk! I just miss the wooden playground from back in the day, not that I could play on it anymore.

Wonderful park trails. Met a nice local lady and chatted. Great community, you can see it in the diversity of the playground. Large area. Would be cool to see what events take place here. Maybe a Medieval Fair.

Family fun time!!!! This is the place. Basketball courts, tennis courts, playground, and even grills to cook....not enough then take a walk in one of several trails...fish at the lake...its definitely a great place to just hang.

My sister in law had her sons birthday party here and the kids had a great time running around on the playground! There were plenty of picnic tables available for the amount of people that showed up for the party! There were things for the bigger kids to play on as well! It was nicely shaded by the trees so it wasnt uncomfortable watching the kids play! Would be cool if there was a small section there that was for water play in the summer. My oldest said he liked the park better before they renovated it. I beg to differ but Im not a kid playing on the playground lol

A large wooded park with a number of playground structures for kids of all ages. Plenty of room to play, large fence around the playground. Nearby walking trails to the small man made lake provide young ones something to do. Highly recommend this park for families.

Great place to let the kids play

I took the kids here for the first time after I was told about this little treasure. Its very well kept, the playground had rubber padding which was excellent for falls. They have grills, pavilions, and trails. Of course there is also an area with water and these cute little ducks. I would definitely recommend this for a nice little outing with the kids or kids at heart.

My children love this park!! We always start at the park then we take a walk around the water!! Its just beautiful n relaxing!!

Its a nice park. Been around for a long time. Has a new upgraded playground and some decent field for sports. There is some fishing and walking trails. Beavers are active and other wild life is noticeable a park in a fairly urban area.

Love this place have been coming here since I was a kid with my family and just had my kids birthday party today and it turned out amazing. They just renovated the park and looks amazing.

This park has really improved lately. The playground equipment is all new and is great. The kids love the bowl swing. Theyre covering the grounds with wood chips which looks great now, but I think it will be a major pain once leaves fall this autumn. If you havent been in a while, give it a look.

Live this place during fall... The calmness of the lake and colors of the leaves make me fall in love all over again with FALL.

I love this park, its newly built, clean, pretty well shaded, though the swings can be a bit much under the beaten sun. Lots to play on, even when its busy its not overwhelming. Picnic tables in good condition and we didnt have any bug issues during summer either.

Much better now that its open and organized in a kid (parent) freindly way . Clean place . Great place just go for a second with your ones or just to relax outside .

Its so much fun walking the path and thought the woods..But the park was so crowded and and even when youre right there with your children we saw two kids fall off the playground equipment. And knocked the breath out of them they need more for the young kids I know they just remodeled the park. By it being so crowded you cant even get on the equipment with the kids. And thats how they end up falling.

I miss the wooden park, but still love coming for the birds!

There is a nice path that lets you walk around the water. The fishing here is horrible. For some reason (maybe drainage from nearby homes) the water quality is horrible and youll only see turtles or tiny bluegill. I have caught a couple bass but they look so malnourished. They stopped stocking this pond a long time ago because of the water quality.

Beautiful and spacious. Lots of hiking trails around a scenic lake. You can fish here as well. Tennis courts are well maintained Playground. Pavillions and a ball park. Pets are welcome. No entry fee!

A lot to do since they finished the playground. My daughter loves running around here and playing with the various equipment. Only draw back is not a lot of shade, so on hot sunny days it may be worth having extra sunscreen and hats for sure.

Playground has something for every age 2 to 12. My kids had a blast and the people that go to that park are nice.

Very nice (usually) quiet park. It has ball fields and large playground and you can fish in the lake. Update: they have done a lot of work to the playground. Its wide open with new equipment. Very nice.

Great for kids and animals to get out all that built up energy. I love this park, it has so much to offer, from feeding ducks and even geese, to fishing and taking the kids to the most amazing playground ever. Theres even fields to play baseball or whatever you want for like a big family outing. Really cool spot to have a great time for any type individual.

One of the best playgrounds in the area. They have so much nice equipment since the upgrade and I love the music instruments.

Lake Waterford in Pasadena a very nice park, was unable to complete a hike around the pond due to the Southern and being private property.

A few portions of the new playground equipment were already broken and not blocked off really well. Kids were falling/tripping trying to skip over the broken portions. Ive loved this place since I was a kid, and now take kids here to play. However, the most recent 2019 upgrades to the playground equipment are sub-par at best. Theres already flaking paint/coating, and corrosion; 2 pieces of playground equipment were already broken. Of course, kids are rough and things will occasionally need repair; especially older kids whom have no business playing on a playground. It has only been a couple months after the upgrade though; one would think the new equipment would hold up better. The trails, sports fields, and wildlife are still worth the visit; ultimately its a great place to take the kids out to, and to enjoy the outdoors

Its a very nice park with plenty of picnic tables and shade. There are walking trails. They just built all new playground equipment. The basketball court is freshly paved. All in all a nice park.
