Great park for children and adults. Has a nice trail for walking and a nice fun playground for children. Hidden little secret park. It is right next to the bike path. Only downside is finding parking.

The trail is beautiful, especially in spring! So many flowers and butterflies. The only downside is there are some questionable characters hanging out this park sometimes. It makes me feel a little on edge when Im there by myself with my kids.

Formerly Banana Park, dont be Mislead by the scenery, the area and neighborhood its located in has been and is very Violent in terms of local Paramount city Gangs and rivalries from 1970s til current , by no means is it safe at night nor early morning hours would not risk going alone to work out ,if you decide to chance it bring friends or family along in the event you get approached by Violent criminals of its area

Enjoy this park with my family ever so often. The walking path is great. Weve gone both for walks and have accessed the LA river bike path through the park. I wish it was closer to my home so that I could enjoy it more often. Only negative is that the exercise equipment is in rough shape. It would be great if they kept them in better shape.

The park is very nice and clean. The only problem is that the park dosent have there own parking which causes problem with neighbors infront of the park. By calling parking enforcement multiple times, being so ridiculous.

Review №14

A narrow strip of land along the Los Angeles River has been planted with native plants that attract many species of birds and many different butterflies and other fauna. There is a bike trail, the Los Angeles River Bikeway, walking and jogging paths, exercise equipment along the path, and grassy areas with benches or large rocks to sit on. The park get a little crowded with local families in the late afternoon and evening with small children riding big wheels along the path and playing on the park toys. They did a nice job revitalizing this park and the local neighborhood appreciates it. The park lacks a public restroom and has limited parking.

There is a rich supply of beautiful natural California plant life. The trees, shrubs, flowers, boulders and lush green belts comprise a bountiful garden, free for all to enjoy and protect.Below ground and out of sight there is an advanced man-made system which was designed to enhance, promote, and restore some of the benefical ecological processes of the Los Angeles river which were compromised by the well-intentioned engineers who cemented the river bed in order to prevent flooding and flood damage before fully understanding the negative impact such actions would have on the rivers ecosystems. The plant lifes contrubution to filtering fresh, clean water for people, animals, and crops was grossly underestimated also.Eco-friendly Dills park; peaceful, shady, natural butterfly habitat, easily accessible walk/hike trails, mature trees, bird watching, picnic tables, play area for small children, strategically disbursed trail-side state-of-the-art fitness equipment, dogs allowed on leash, ample street parking, including handicap spaces.I would have scored Dills at 5 stars if the CITY were to provide more designated parking and if the PUBLIC were to be more respectfully of the park. Though not severely abused, occasional discarding of debris such as broken bottles, is uncalled for. There are trash receptacles. And city maintenance/clean-up crews regularly tend to the park.

Cool place to kinda quietly explore and do some personal meditation, and stress reliving exercises. The track surrounding the grassy open area is not too overwhelming for even a new outdoorsman to enjoy for the first time. The Rock Climbing was a pleasant surprise fitting for almost any person of school age or older to experience something a little out of the ordinary.

Been coming here since I was a kid to play but now I workout on the machines & walk on the beautiful walking trail lots of people come here to get their walks on with either friends or puppies.. I just wish they would have a restroom available by San Juan or San Carlos I live in Downey & go there for my exercise but I have to go all the way to San Luis to use the restroom.. bummer..

Nice park that my kids and i found while biking the la river. They loved the playgound and i loved that it was very natured inspired. Benchs, plenty of shade, as well as trails that. I believe connect to other parks along side the LA river. Great park for family exploring, and for resting off the bike path.
