Grizzly Family Fitness Is a remarkable facility. I appreciate that they have remained open throughout these trying times. They have provided a place for kids to be active and compete in a safe environment. The staff is kind and very accommodating. They have gone out of their way to help me find gym time for the multiple teams that I coach. I can’t think of a better place for our kids to be spending time. I appreciate Grizzly Family Fitness and the opportunities that they provide for our community.

I love Grizzly Family Fitness! It does have a family feel to it, with all employees and instructors taking pride and ownership in their facility. They truly care. I am so thankful that they have remained open to us this year because mental and physical health are so intertwined. The kids really benefit from staying active and it is convenient for parents to exercise at the same time. My family have been with Grizzly Family Fitness since it opened. Mostly we use the cardio and weight training equipment but I also really enjoy the basketball. The staff have always been helpful and welcoming and their hours work well with our schedules. The track is also a good feature which we use most visits. I also appreciate their emphasis on children and youth programs and see that their instructors and coach’s do a good job. I believe that this place is a community asset.

Grizzly Family Fitness is the best facility for the entire family! They really do have something for everyone. Plenty of Cardio Equipment and Machines and the Weight Room has upgraded from years ago.The Group Fitness classes are great and the instructors bring the heat to every class! (Vanessa and Lindsey are my favorite) The CrossFit program is awesome as well if that’s something you’re looking for!They offer a lot of options for kids as well and the courts are almost always available. They also gave a great daycare if you need it.I’ve been a member since they first opened back in 2008 and the entire facility is cleaner and operating better than I have ever seen it!

The members and staff of Grizzly Family Fitness are more than just people who work and attend the sports center. Some have been there since the day of opening 12 years ago and call this place home. For this reason, they go above and beyond caring for their members. This includes creating a clean and friendly place while you are in the facility, but also taking an interest in their members as they do life beyond their walls. As in a family, there are activities and events that include everyone! From those who want a relaxed activity to those seeking a serious workout, Grizzly Family. Love this place! Its family friendly and has plenty of fitness opportunities. Basketball, volleyball, pickle ball, crossfit, corn hole. The list goes on! This is THE fitness center to be at in the valley, hands down!

This is one of the best experiences I have had in a gym! Each step in the application process was so personal and the members really pulled me into what felt like their Grizzly community. The facility is impressive and I play competitive basketball 3 times a week now. Connection is important in times like these and Grizzly Family Fitness has provided that for people of all abilities. Ive been coming to Grizzly Family fitness for Crossfit for three years now. The staff is always friendly and the facility has something for everyone. If you like group classes they have many great classes to choose from, Crossfit, cycling, yoga, HIIT, etc.. If you like working out on your own they have almost any equipment or machines you would need or want (lifting and cardio-wise). If you have personal fitness goals and you are looking for direction, they have personal trainers. They even have group activities for kids of all ages, daycare, and free court time (for all ages). This is definitely a great facility and it is very family friendly.

We have been members here since they opened, but they have continued to improve and we love the family atmosphere. Our daughter who still lives with us, loves the classes and we all love the indoor track in the fall and winter where it is safe to run or walk. We love the convenience of where it is located too.

Ive been a member at this gym for 3 years and every year it gets better and better. I go here because of the options for my children when I work out. I LOVE that my kids (3+) get exercise in Tumbles Buddies or Youth Sport Court while I workout. We all leave getting some exercise and then ready for our homeschool day. I love that its oriented towards families-- moms walk the track with strollers, families come to play basketball, etc. It is the best place!

Best Gym in the Valley . HANDS DOWN . They offer so many different programs and classes for all ages. From cross fit to lifting weights, the equipment is always clean and rarely ever have to wait to use a machine. And to top it off, they got 5 basketball courts that get used for way more then basketball. But if you are a hooper and you want your skills tested , pull up Mon.Wed. Fri. My family and I have been members since it opened. It is a perfect gym for the whole family. There is a class or activity for everyone. I personally enjoy the CrossFit box and the indoor track. Having the open gym access with my Premium Membership makes it the only CrossFit box in town with such a benefit. I really appreciate the cleanliness and locker room facilities. It makes it very easy to get an early morning or lunch time workout in, yet get cleaned up before heading back to work.Jeff

Grizzly Family Fitness is legitimately one of the best family-oriented establishments that I know of. They are constantly looking for ways to improve experiences for families and individuals. The place is immaculately well taken care of. They are clean, courteous, friendly, and fair in pricing. They offer all kinds of activities, and they have just about any fitness activity/opportunity that you might want. A track, on-demand, aerobics, Zumba, yoga, basketball, team and partners sports, weights, machines, and also child care. Lots more, but you ask them for a tour and you can see it all. Well worth a trip!

This is by far the best gym I have ever been too! The facility is huge. There are so many different things offered at Grizzly Family Fitness. But, this gym is more than just a facility to workout in, the community offered at Grizzly Family Fitness is unmatched. Get involved in Yoga, CrossFit, Open Gym, Personal Training, or any of the other activities offered, and I promise it will be the best decision you could have made for yourself!

This is a great facility, with a wonderful staff. A variety of classes and activities for all ages and abilities. Youth and adult sports and an emphasis on lifetime fitness. My family and I have been coming here for over 10 years and have never been disappointed.

My family loves this place! The staff is always friendly and very helpful. We are here almost every weekend and multiple time during the week. The workout areas are always clean and well-maintained. I would highly recommend it to a family or just an individual.

I was roped into coming a few months after the gym opened 11 years ago and man am I glad I have persuasive friends . I have had nothing but positive experiences here. The addition of CrossFit in 2014 brought a new level of fitness to my regime which I love! The indoor track is such a bonus especially come winter when running the trails is on hold. If your looking for a place that has everything then this is your place!!

When we moved here 7 years ago the sports center became a place where our entire family could go Workout and feel welcomed. The facility has always had friendly staff and great instructors at all levels! I highly recommend GFF to anyone in search of a gym.

Ive been incredibly happy with Grizzly Family Fitness! I first came here in middle school to participate in the Homeschool PE program. Its been about 8 years since then, and Im still coming back! I love exercise and fitness, and between the PE class, and now that Ive outgrown that, the CrossFit classes, and other aspects of the facility the gym has provided, Ive continued to have a a great time! I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a place to exercise, learn, and have a great time!

Overall Amazing Gym. It’s got all the equipment I’ve ever needed+more. The entire building is very well maintained and sanitized with virex on the equipment. After your workout in the LR there are multiple showers w/ curtains (no awkward showers lol) and there are towels provided for you there. And if you just want to hangout for a bit after your workout there’s a couch and a fireplace to relax next to. It’s great, I won’t be switching gyms until I move out of state

Grizzly Family Fitness is very family oriented. They have 5 B-Ball courts for fun group activities such as b-ball, pickleball, volleyball, PE program, etc. Their workout equipment is state of the art including a walking/running track. It is the home of Grizzly CrossFit. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is the most comfortable gym I’ve been to. I love it there!

Grizzly Family Fitness is an amazing facility with an even better staff. I use to officiate basketball here for years and the courts are always in great shape and the bathrooms are always clean. The location is also centrally located too which always help when getting to it. If youre looking for a gym or a place to take some fitness classes you found the right place.

Great gym, its always clean and the staff are always friendly. Theres a free weight room and CrossFit box that can meet any strength training needs on top of Nautilus machine weights. Several of almost every type of cardio machine on the market, plus a track. Sauna in each locker room with showers that are always clean. Never had any problems.

So many opportunities to be active with your friends, family, and teams at Grizzly. Great staff and facilities!! We always feel welcome and at home there. Highly recommend seeing a member of their team if you’re looking for a fitness center. They’re awesome!

My family has been going to this gym for over 11yrs. It is now just part of our lifestyle. All the members and staff feel like family! My four boys love this place from pickleball, to basketball, to youth court sports classes, and all the fun games like ping pong, air hockey, and foos Ball it’s the best community to help raise a healthy happy family. I personally love the group fitness classes with the fantastic instructors and members that become some of your closest friends. I love this gym and would recommend it highly to everyone!

This is, hands down, my favourite gym that i have ever worked out at. Our family has been a part of this gym since the first year it opened up, with Valley Youth basketball. As a member for 11 years now, I can truly say I love this Gem of a gym! I have always enjoyed the daily group workout classes. I’ve made connections with the professional and amazing instructors who have always made me feel at home, and I have made friends to last a lifetime. The facility itself meets all our needs as a family with 6 kids - from basketball, track, daily classes, personal workouts and homeschool applications, basketball programs, tumble buddies etc. Grizzly Family Fitness truly does feel like a “family” and we are thankful for it!

I am one of those people who tend to feel out of place at the gym. I am so thankful for the classes this gym offers these instructors have been my biggest cheerleaders and make me feel like I fit right in. I love that my family can come together in the winter and the track helps us get through those months. Very clean, organized, and friendly staff.

The staff makes you always feel like family, so friendly and helpful. I go there 5 days a week with my daughter and grandkids and we all enjoy it.

This place is very special. It is a great place to work out, I enjoy playing basketball with an incredibly accepting group of adults and what a great joy to watch all of the young kids be active and learn to play.

Great place to go workout and if you wanted you could just go play basketball on their great quality basketball courts. They have great classes for if youre a member the employees are welcoming and kind. Would recommend going there

I have been going here for just over 5 years, this gym facility once was named the MTA center, and it wasn’t my first pick(felt like highschool, ie cliques) I was a just another person....than Grizzly family fitness came in, new staff came through, took the time to know my name, and the people I would bring with me. took the time to make me feel welcomed and cared about, any concerns they took care of it immediately if not within the day. The front desk staff is one of the best parts of walking in, always asking about my day, I let them know what I’m going be doing for my workout and if I need some advice the staff is very knowledgeable about different workout techniques and some even put on classes. outstanding facility, this is an all around full body and mind facility...without the ugly judgments of an expensive gym. if I could I would give them 10 stars instead of the lousy 5 lol!

Best basketball courts in the state, always great bball runs and great attitudes when I go!

Grizzly Family Fitness is a locally owned gym that strives to serve it’s community with the best possible service that you can get at a fitness center. From all of the different classes, tanning, The Place, the 5 basketball courts, and workout areas there is something for everyone! There is a fantastic childcare room there and a few kids classes are offered for different age groups. Personal training is offered through Fearless Fitness/ Brady Dale. The facility is huge and doesn’t have that claustrophobic, packed gym feeling, which is so nice right now especially. There’s also a brand new pickleball court outside. And, the staff there are all awesome and so helpful! If you haven’t been to GFF yet you need to stop in and check it out!!

CrossFit, yoga, cycling and other health classes are available, but most people don’t know that there are after school programs for kids, youth basketball, pickle ball, cornhole leagues and way more!I can’t say it enough, GFF is the only place to have a membership in the valley! 5 Stars ALL THE WAY!

Way more expensive then MTA. Not at all military friendly like MTA used to be.No military discount, but month to month, if you choose, but they nail you with a $399 yearly enrollment fee!! And $70 extra for childcare.

This is the cleanest gym we’ve ever been to! The amazing staff keeps it spotless! And there is something here for everyone. Huge variety of workout equipment, classes, and courts. From basketball to pickle ball, cardio machines to free weights, CrossFit to Yoga... And it is LOCALLY owned and operated!

Fabulous Family Friendly Gym!! Well worth our membership! We love the ability for our kids to come shoot baskets, husband loves the weight center, and I love playing pickle ball Monday-Friday! Great customer service and employees!!

The facilities (gym, machines, courts) and classes are great. Facilities are well maintained. I’ve always been happy with the front desk staff’s willingness to help. Phil’s a stud and brings fresh attitude in the early mornings. I won’t go anywhere else.

By far the best gym in the Valley. I was a member of the Alaska club for 2 years and recently made the switch and I am so happy I did! My biggest regret was not joining sooner. My 3 year olds love the tumble buddies classes and bounce house days, and the daycare is awesome for my baby. It is kept super clean and all the workers are very attentive and caring. As for me CrossFit has been amazing and I love their barre and cycle classes. This place is truly a hidden gem. The staff is all super friendly. Couldn’t recommend this gym enough!

The only place worth going to play basketball-Anchorage included. There’s several options for exercise classes and equipment, plus it’s not as expensive as the ridiculously priced Alaska Club. Highly recommend.

Im a member here for now. What is hard to justify is continuing when the aerobic equipment is so poorly maintained. The location is great for me and staff pleasant but if a club were to open with a better maintenance schedule, Id have to move.

Not perfect, but is our gym of choice. Always clean and the indoor track is awesome. The price for premium is too steep unless you are into CrossFit, but the normal membership has enough perks to be a better deal than the competition. With YMCA coming, I am hoping MTA will add a pool.

All and all I love this place its active and fun. Has all the equipment I need to get a good workout. The equipment is good and up kept very well. Love that I have courts with various activities to do. My real sole complaint honestly may not be big to some but is very frustrating to me is when there are games (which there will be its part of what I like about the place) they dont upkeep little kids from clogging up the running track. This may not seem that big but its very annoying to work out with kids running around with mo parents in sight... just a little segregation between activities and workouts is whats needed and a monitor to keep the rules straight. That way people working out can without disruption and people for activities can have clear outlines on where they can and cant be. Again that is only complaint and its not all the time I do love this place

I love this gym. The staff are really nice and theres always enough equipment or space for me to perform the workouts I go there for. In addition to this, they host a Night Courts program which is funded by CITC as part of a substance abuse prevention program. Plus, theyve got five basketball courts in this place, what more could you ask for?

Bring your own basketball, the ones they have arent good at all. Bring your own water too, their water taste like straight chemicals.

Four basketball courts, walking track, weight lifting, and a good variety of exercise machines. The staff and other customers are always nice. They are currently adding more equipment but no pool.

Great gym, has an amazing selection of equipment, enjoy the atmosphere immensely. Only thing that I dont appreciate is the rude front desk lady that works evenings. I dont even know her, she seems to be friendly with everyone else except my family and I dont understand if its because we are a mixed family.

It is a nice facility, pretty spacious and priced reasonably. The only draw back is the weight room. Its very small, kind of cramped and if you are seriously into weight lifting you are at a disadvantage. They do not have important weights/machines. It would be perfect if they were able to expand that area. Unfortunately, it seems more of a cardio only gym. Maybe they have plans in the future....
