We just had our wedding at the Dr. Phillips House and it was absolutely gorgeous! Although we had some concerns in the beginning, we were so pleased with everything and the way it all unfolded. We had a great catering team, the food was delicious, and Angie who helped coordinate was a pleasure to work with! We are so thankful for everything and how beautiful it was on our special day!

Went to a friends wedding at 4pm Saturday a few weeks ago. Everyone had a great time and the food and service were very good.Venue is nice but I would recommend you have a small group of 50 or so. Parking is difficult for a large number of cars.

Ive been here a couple of times and even had the brunch after my wedding here! Its been a pleasure each time and I love coming back. Its rich in history, the staff is great, and the architecture is amazing. You should definitely have your next event here!

Beautiful venue.Would not use it for anything other than a very small gathering. (5-10)No parking, I-4 construction noise and debris. Parking garage around corner, but cars were broken into.Historical Building needs to be shown some genuine love and care along with deep cleaning and maintenance.Gazebo & courtyard hadnt been cleaned recently..Fountain mildewed.Stairways and banister missing pieces, carpet is loose and has wrinkles in it dust & cob webs spiders included inside.Rest rooms need fresh paint, more than one soap dispenser and hand sanitizer!AC very poor.Leaks inside during dinner...no one cared...They are paid upfront so...need I say more.On a VERY positive note catering department professional, attentive to details, service both food and cocktails exceptional.Food was of excellent quality and tasty, temperature kept well.They went above and beyond...Kudos.

We had our wedding here and it was absolutely magical! Angie is simply amazing! She dealt with my constant wanting to see the venue lol. The food was great and I received several compliments from our guests in regards to dinner. I would definitely book this venue again!

I recently had my wedding at this venue and it was so wonderful!! Beautiful, intimate, and vintage–it was a dream! The guests absolutely loved it and had a wonderful time! I so wish I could live in this house! (I know Im not the only one lol)Angie helped us book the venue and helped us with any questions and concerns that we had. She is incredibly kind and provided excellent service! We loved her!I highly recommend this venue!!

Held a wedding reception here. Everything was top notch and even more beautiful than we hoped, especially after dark when the garden lights come on. The food was amazing. Our contact there was professional and friendly very helpful. The waitstaff was also very capable. Highly recommended.

I did wedding photography at this event and it is absolutely beautiful. Small and quaint. Amy was extremely accommodating, welcoming and made the day PERFECT for the bride and groom!

We were married at this home and stayed the night there. I almost didnt pick this venue because of the proximity to the 408 because I was afraid of the noise but I didnt even notice.The venue is GORGEOUS. We couldnt have asked for a better spot for our wedding. The food was delicious. I wish I had another plate as Im typing this. Finally, our bridal suite was on the 3rd floor. It was huge and comfortable and the perfect place to get ready for our big day.

Beautiful location. Awesome history. Parking is a little annoying and not great for a larger event with lots of tables inside as the layout made it hard for everyone to feel together. But definitely a nice experience.

Amazing location hidden right in the heart of downtown Orlando. Well maintained and the staff is awesome! As a photographer I appreciate vintage and old locations that are taken care of and not destroyed by over doing renovations and upgrades. I would recommend this location for any event.

I attended the Moonlight Masquerade event last evening benefiting Ronald McDonald House. The evening was amazing. . Chef Lo’s Italian inspired Five course menu was perfection. From the prosciutto and peas Arancini to the braised short ribs entrée everything was on point. My favorite was the grilled fennel and Cauliflower flower soup with toasted pumpkin seeds. If you have not been to Dr. Phillips House under new ownership you really must go. The terrace has been reimagined , expanded and relandscaped with lights to create an event space for over 200 people. Ask to see the hidden wine cellar! Angie the event manager insured that everything worked like clockwork and service was outstanding, never missing a beat. It was really great to see this beautiful treasure of a home brought back to life under Chef Lo Soukhavong.

Beautiful old home. Used for weddings and other events. Great garden worth gazebo. Three houses in all, with B&B rooms for about $140 per night.

Attended a wedding and reception here in February 2018. It was a beautiful setting. Probably more fitting for smaller weddings, maybe a max around 70ish (but one should confirm). Wedding ceremony was outside (where the guests sit is not covered) and there is a beautiful covered gazebo where the bride and groom stood for most of the ceremony. Theres an area just beyond the gazebo where there was a bar setup; this is where we went after the ceremony. Again, outdoors, not covered. While we were in this space, the staff quickly removed the chairs and other items from where the ceremony was and this became the dance floor after dinner. After drinks, we went inside for dinner. The dining room is beautiful, but again, quaint and kind of small. The bride and groom table was a small table in the front of the main dining room. There are sections of the dining room that curve around corners so not line-of-sight to where the bride and groom were sitting There was a separate room that accommodates a buffet table, just a short walk down the hallway from the dining room. There was a small table next to the bride/grrom table where they had the wedding cake. Just outside the dining room is a covered deck where the DJ was. After dinner and the cake-cutting, many people went outside to dance in the space where the chairs were for the ceremony. If youre looking for a quaint place for a small party where the entire event can be held (ceremony, reception, etc.), Dr. Phillips House just might be the place for you. Additional note: it was my understanding that the bride and groom also spent the night at the house, as well. The only downside I noticed in having a wedding here is due to its location, it is right under the 408 expressway, you will hear cars. It wasnt necessarily obnoxious but it can draw your attention away momentarily. Make sure theres a microphone and its turned up and it should be fine. Of course the rest of the night we didnt hear any of that over the DJ and music.
