Our own little Downton Abbey! It was taking a walk back in time. The woodwork is beautiful and it is just so cool imagining what it was like back when. I recommend visiting for something different to do.

The Bartlett House is an 1880 Victorian house built by a local oil baron (Olean is not far from Pennsylvania. home of Pennzoil, Quaker State, Brad-Penn, etc.), and is perfectly gorgeous inside, with wonderful floors, woodwork, windows, and an interesting history provided by a local historian. If you are in Olean and looking for a way to pass an hour or two, this is perfect.

Wonderful structure with ornate interior design. Dave Deckman is the historian and was very educated about this house. Also, discovered that he was a close neighbor of mine back in the early 1950s. Great visit and a must see historical site.
