Wonderful day at Black Bob’s Bay. LOVE the new winter hours. I thought it would be a bit on the chillier side but the electric shock from the sting rays warmed me right up. If you’re looking for a fun, interactive outing with the kids, look no further. Rain or shine.

Great find! Perfect go between your basic public pool and Oceans of Fun! Its the perfect size. Not so big youre paranoud about losing a kid and not so small youve seen the whole thing in 11 minutes. Their co creation stand is pretty exceptional and very reasonably priced. 2 separate childrens areas with zero entry and splash park. There is an even more low-key section of the park for infants which has an extremely shallow pool. Most water parks I visit lump the infants in with the toddlers, so I thought the separation here was nice. Lots of shades seating and there are always plenty of chaise lounges, which is a rarity at any public pool!

Awesome water park inside a very nice park. Baby pool, splash pad, zero entry pool, diving pool, 2 slides that lead into a lazy river. Very attentive life guards and a decently priced concession stand.

Black bob bay is a place where families and friends, can have a great time; doesnt matter if its a hot day over 100, or a nice day starting at 70...I recommend it for birthday parties and/or fun occasions. Hope I helped. :)

Good water park with cool events

This is a great place for families and for singles. Great atmosphere and lots of room. The lifeguards are always on alert even practicing throughout the day. It has 2 water slides a kids play area with slides and best of all a lazy river. You can even bring a cooler in with food and appropriate drinks. The only complaint is the restroom floors seem to be dirty a lot. However just let them know and usually they will handle it right away.

Olathes best kept secret. Essentially a water park that no one knows about unless theyve been here. Lots of lifeguards. Well organized. Snack bar with a few items, all reasonably priced. Lots of seating, some of it covered. Plenty of walking space, so you dont feel cramped.

Fun place to go with family and friends. The fields are perfect for team practice and games. Batting cages are nice and there is a cool community pool with slides and diving boards. Its well kept and easy to get around in.

Fun water spot! Lazy river, small kid water park kiddie pool a couple of large slides. 3 driving boards. Very on point life guards. They do a good hob keeping everyone safe. I did smell someone smoking weed and thought that was weird....

My Grandkids really enjoyed there self.The staff were very quick on there respond and action with the kids

My little brother and sister really did not enjoy this place. Nor did I they have a million rules and they are not written down anywhere it just seemed like you learn of them as the little kids whistled at you. Its really not as big as the pictures make it seem. Its not worth the drive Prairie Village pool only lacks a lazy river and at least the rules are posted at the entrance of the pools and are clearly labeled. Its just a million Nopes from me.

Nice place to go swimming, cost 7 for residence of the area & 9 for anyone else, can be abit crowded at times but its well maintained & cleaned

My family and I went here for a church event. The facility was great and had plenty of fun things to do. It was nice to relax in the lazy river. They also had plenty of lifeguards on duty.

There is a lot a fun and tasty foods to try, the life gaurds are keen and fit. They play music and have a lazy river

Good luck finding a chair during the weekend, but that says a lot about the popularity of the park. Its a great place for family events.

We have been several times before but this time has been an irritating experience. Seems like every single thing you do the life guards are blowing their whistles at you for every single thing. I understand safety but its ridiculous things, daughter couldnt even bring a super small tiny inflatable fish in the water that is smaller then a foot ball which is what others were playing with, she was told how to dive off the diving boards even though she was doing it the right way, and then she was trying to get some air from the water and accidentally grab a hold of the rope for not even a second before they got onto her for grabbing their rope in the pool, they constantly were blowing their whistles at everyone for every little thing and it was just irritating power hungry teenagers. Not worth $7 a person to get in trouble the entire time, Would much rather go somewhere else that isnt like this.

If you want to go to the pool and listen to lifeguards and aquatic staff talk about being in the drug business and legalizing pot , cocaine, and shrooms than this is the pool. They were speaking so loud while laying out you could overhear so many conversations where they were making fun of other people that work there and how they were fighting amongst each other and the guy doing most of the talking told a girl his age calm down and take another zani. Maybe take your staff shirts off and put down the broom and dustpan if you want to partake in that type of conversation.

Great place to swim and the concession stand is pretty great too. Reasonable pricing and friendly employees

I enjoy bringing my kiddos here. Kids who work here are friendly and knowledgeable of their duties. Anything happens to a child (hitting their head down the slides), their always there to insure everyone is taken care of. Their slides are fun, I absolutely enjoy their lazy river and of course the adult swim only for a few minutes. Alot of fun for the whole family.

Good prices, theres something there for people of all ages, but the adult water slide was out of operation for most of the time I was there. First time going, definitely will be returning.

$159 for a summer family pool pass. Three slides, diving pool and a lazy river with waterfalls. Great spot!

Life guards make sure everyone follows rules. Parking good. Not too packed on Mondays. There’s a pool for every age group. Only thing I don’t like is that I can’t have my one year old on his own floaty. I wanted to use the one that has a shade for him to cover him from the sun and it wasn’t allowed in any pool, not even the river. Still enjoyed it I’d definitely recommend it.

This place is very fun for a few hours but it can get busy but that is not their fault

It is a nice pool. Good space for people to walk around and plenty to do. My only criticism would be that I feel it could use some more shade because it would be hard to find a spot if you didnt want to be in the sun.

Family fun. We dont have beaches or mountains. So this will do.

Everyone knows The Bob is the place to be in the summer. Its fun, safe and always an amazingly clean and well equipped public pool. Its really more like a water park than a public pool. The lazy river is my favorite but my kids spread their time between the slides and the pool basketball area. There are tons of things to do for the bitty kids to with a kiddie pool and the paste ship water feature that has a small side and a slow filling bucket that the kids love to anticipate when it will dump. Its the best spot to be for families in Olathe on hot summer days.

Suprised no one else has said anything but make sure you have some sort of water shoes walking on the sidewalks today was almost unbearable am a little suprised i dont have blisters on the bottom of my feet. The red spots were the worst.

This waterpark was a very pleasant surprise. We had another pool we could have used for free but this one had so many fun choices. Fun for all. It was clean, well managed and just right.

Clean, well maintained, safe, easy access. Lots of chairs and shade.

Always have been great until today! Went and a cloud came over It rumbled once or twice. And they said everyone out of water and off deck. Mind you I had only been there 10 mins during safety check so we never touched the water. On the way out I went to the cashier and she kindly gave me passes so I cant complain too much. Ill just be more on the forecast watch for chance of rumbles,clouds so I wont waste my time.

This pool is family friendly, with an adult swim every hour or so. They play music that is kid friendly as well. My favorite part is that they have a little kid area for the toddlers to play in as well. For a resident of Olathe, I believe its $6.

Fun place, family friendly no matter the age, enjoyed the lazy river and the kids area with my 4 year old. Would recommend.

Really big pool with lots of stuff to do with good music, but it is usually VERY crowded. The big pool is stuffed with people and kids, and the lazy river is usually jammed with lots of tubes and people. No inflatables, no water guns, and your swim trunks cant have rivets or they will ask you to leave. The diving boards are fun, but they are also backed up to the fence most of the time, and they dont allow any bouncing or stunts at all. Adult swims are nice, but they cause a lot of chaos as people rush to get out, which is a problem for kids because they can easily get lost. Lap pools are usually crowded, and there is little shade. Good lifeguard staff that watches for kids and are well stationed around the pool.This is definitely not a pool you would want to come to on a weekly basis, but it is fun every once in a while. I recommend the smaller pools in the area because they are not as crowded and are much cheaper.

The water park has 4 pools and 2 slides. The slides dump into a lazy river. There is a dive pool, a large common area pool where the deepest part of the pool is 6 ft. There is also a childrens pool. Once an hour there is an adults only swim. That includes all 3 major pools. Does get crowded. Come early and claim your spot.

My kiddo had a great time there. Super cool! and really affordable.

Best pool ever i swear. Life gaurds are always paying attention to the kids, the diving boards are awesome and safe, the slide is so fun, and they have a area for little kids with a slide thats really cool! You should definitely go to this pool!

The grandkids love to go to Black Bob Bay to swim. Lots of fun things to do there. I always feelfeel safe there too.

Its a very large pool facility for the area. There is stuff for all ages, a baby pool, kids water-park area, diving boards, two tubing slides, a lazy river, and a rather big swimming pool, even with a basketball hoop to play ball. They also have multiple restrooms, which is nice, and venders/a concession stand for food. Very clean and well managed. Always enjoyable to come.

I come here for dive team and enjoy it greatly; the only problem is the hot ground. I have gotten burns on my feet that took weeks to heal.

Our family loves Black Bob Bay! There is a place for the baby to splash and the older kids love the slides. We enjoy the lazy river. Great family atmosphere.

It is a really good pool with a lazy River and slides but the problem is that its just too crowded. The pools are crouded, the lazy River constantly gets blocked up with people and the lines on the slides are long. If these dont bother you, you can have a really fun time,. Everytime I go there its really crouded.

I am highly disappointed. My kids and I went there with my sister and her kids. I had a floaty for my 7mo. and both my younger kids had arm floaties. We paid (expensive) went to get in the pool and a lifeguard said my kids needed to get out because what they had was not permitted there.I went and talked to staff up front and asked how come the girls working up front didnt say anything to me, but they were quick to take my money. Hes response its not their job to tell you, its the lifeguards. Which I disagree with because its not posted anywhere in the property or website that NOTHING INFLATETABLE is allowed on property. He told me to go back and use one of their lifejackets, no refund.

Alittle upset that we came in at 6pm and didnt get Twilight prices nor told that my kids couldnt do most of the stuff in the last hour since it was adult swim. Then thunder rolled in and everyone was asked to leave. I feel like I wasted my $20 :/

Great place to bring the family. Every hour at the 50 minute mark you get an adult swim (prime time to hop in the lazy river and enjoy some peace and quite floating).

High and low dive boards, lap lanes, zero entry baby pool, kids play area, double slides, lazy river, hundreds of reclining chairs, shaded areas, and a snack bar, something for everyone.

Clean and family friendly. My grand kids love it!
