This is one of my familys favorite parks. The playground is very unique and it has an amazing sand pit with super soft beach fine sand. The lake is nice to walk around too. It is a little crowded and had a very small parking lot but its still great

Nice and quaint lake park south of Santa Fe, looks to be excellent for fishing, walking and general relaxation. I will admit, its more for the locals, since the parking is almost an afterthought here and I do feel that Antioch Park is more accommodating to visitors.

Pretty and scenic location for a stroll around the lake with your pup. Lots of green spaces and even a bench or two to rest and practice obedience skills. Paved lot and path make this a good loving for a bike ride for the kids too!

Nice walking path by lake. Occasional train passing close by. Neighboring back yards are well kept and pretty. Saw a blue Herron fly across the lake and then up close. People fishing. Nice half hour.

Lovely little lake in the center of Olathe. A hidden gem for short walks around a pristine lake where fishing, kayaking and bicycle rides are perfect. Theres even a nice little playground for you young-uns.

Nice Lake and walking path. This lake is maintained very well and it seems like they remodel it every few years. There is also a pretty cool playground with musical instruments for the kids.

It is a good place to check out the geese and feed them beside walking around the lake

It is a lovely lake with some great sunset photo opportunities. Nice walking trail and a pavilion to get out of the rain.

Great small playground for kiddos, good short paved walking trail. Next to train tracks so can be loud and not well lit towards dusk

Pleasant/beautiful walk with plenty of rest spots

Frisco Lake is probably one of the most beautiful walking parks in the entire joco area, second only to maybe Antioch (or one I havent been to). While the road noise is a bit of an annoyance, its nothing that a pair of earphones, or a steady conversation cant take care of. Also, one end of the park is next to a railroad, which makes for some really neat visuals as the trains pass by, slow down, or stop in that segment.Walking the path is about .75 miles, and you can easily walk it twice without even thinking about it.

We love Frisco Lake Park. There is a shelter with picnic tables, a neat little playground (which can get hot in the summer because of the AstroTurf), and a lovely paved walk around a little lake with docks and porch swings to linger at.

Its a nice quiet place where you can walk your dog, go fishing and enjoy outdoors.

Family Get together

Frisco is a cute little park. It has a newly updated playground for the kids. It would be nice if they added more picnic tables & grilling areas to the park. There is only one grill. There is 3 Pokemon GO gyms at each corner & theres a few poke stops on the trail. It would be nice if more poke stops were added to the walking trail. Overall, cute little park.

Love buying pizza by the slice. And the slices are so big I can even share! Yummy.

Great place for families!

Beautiful sunset!

Clean and well kept. Asphalt trail around the lake is fun for casual biking. On one end of the dam the trail does get fairly steep and have a sharp corner, so take that into consideration.

A very beautiful park that is nice for walking and enjoying if you have a significant other. Picnics are also a good idea and I would recommend taking family here. Always a nice and peaceful time.

I live on North Frisco Lake and the sunset pic seen here is taken from my front porch ..... Incredible views every day and night.

This park is a great place to walk for yourself and a dog. Lots of friendly people exercise here. The only drawback is that it floods easily when we have heavy rains.

Nice place to park next to a medium sized lake with a nice walking trail around it for train enthusiasts they can sit here and watch trains go through the switching station and run along the side of the lake. Easy access to I-35 at 56 highway.

Great new play area, for kids. A nice path to walk and a nice view. The crowd; however, is hit and miss. A younger couple was sitting inappropriatley under the shelter area, during normal daylight hours. Parking is limited.

This is a fantastic place to take the little ones, the playground has synthetic grass so its green year round, it has a couple of nice shelters available, also the path goes around the entire lake. Also its a pretty clean area, highly recommend it!

Sure was a lot of people there today enjoying the weather.

Good place to go walk around the Little Pond but the city of Olathe needs to fix the pond way too shallow and the only thing that lives here is catfish

Had a great time. The Mr fished while our daughter and I walked around the lake. It was a beautiful evening and a nice lake. Wouldve been better if there was more parking. A graduation party took up all the parking. Would have been nice to have actual restrooms instead of portapots but at least there was somewhere to go

Nice walking path, I walk it a few times a week... but dont go there... its already crowded with with gang members and puppy kidnappers. Not to mention the train going right by the park doing drive-by shootings on all the ducks...

Great updated playground. Sandbox, balance natured inspired playground on astroturf, and rock steps up to a steepish slide. Nearby port-a-potties, covered picnic shelter , and path with exercise stations around the lake.

I really enjoy the park and the childrens play area, but the parking lot is so small. I often have to park across the street at the apartment complex and walk to the park.

Its a beautiful place to go for a walk and unwind

Had such an amazing time there, the grass is always cut and they are places to sit if you get tired, and its always helpful that their is always water fountains around if you happen to forget your water in a run. Its an amazing place to go on a run or to take your dog for a walk and to even have a date, their is a playground for the kids and a place to eat, the only big problem is that you cant fish cause they arent any fish in the large lake

Nice for walks

One of the nicest parks in Olathe and this one has good sized fish too.

We were so very surprised to find this park in the city! We stopped to walk our dog who had been cooped up traveling with us all day. It was landscaped neatly, had exercise stops every 100 yards or so, and allowed us to enjoy some local feathered friends too! No swings or playground equipment though.

Nice city park with 1 picnic shelter area. Great place to bring your dog! If you have a large outdoor party in the park this wouldnt be the place for it as there isnt a lot of parking available.

What a cute little park! We had our family pictures taken here a couple of weeks ago before the beautiful leaves fell!

My granddaughter loves to come here and feed the ducks.

Their trail could use some work and maybe some guard rails where its closest to the lake. My son likes to walk around the trail with mr. But it makes nervous with how close some of the trail is to the lake and that some of it is deteriorating

Beautiful little park with a small lake, trail, nice resting stops, and a small play area. Serene setting is only occasionally marred by the infrequent train.

We had some time to kill and I wanted my little one to burn off some energy before nap time. This was the closest playground, so we came here. It’s a huge park with a large pond. Great for walking with friends, family or the dog.But as far as playgrounds go, it was only so-so. It was certainly pretty unique, but not very big or entertaining for a toddler. Also, bonus points for a playground with ample shade. This didn’t have that either.

Too many cops, be careful with your speed..., we dont want cops everywhere, treating all citizen as Criminals...

An awesome, great little park to walk your dog or sit next to the pond and fish. Theres a pavilion and the land is well kept. Only downside are the port-a-johns - depending on when they were last serviced, they can be a challenge to enter willingly.

The playground is not what it was. The shelters and trail around the lake are cool. This lake was originally built to provide water to steam locomotive is my understanding.

Nice, quiet, fairly clean. Theres a decent amount of shade and places to sit.

Ducks and geese, Turtles and frogs and fish... very nice pretty well kept pathway around Pond Lake with exercise stops and picnic gazebos, benches the lovely swing. Pleasant atmosphere, but it could use more facilities and trash cans there was some trash in the lake and thats always disappointing cuz its just Out Of Reach to be able to clear. But really a lovely time

Lovely 3/4 mile track around a nice pond... not lake. There is a massive train that comes by every so often. The fishing is great and the sunsets are beautiful.
