Great atmosphere, the New Orleans touch is perfect. The woman that greeted us (Im so sorry I forgot your name) was lovely. Live music was fantastic. Our server, Tracy, was full of good energy, great at checking back and offered some of her personal recommendations. Everything about the drinks and food was just amazing to me. Would definitely recommend this place, just be sure youre ready to spend a little money.

This was a wonderful first experience for myself. We had a wonder waitress named Lakedia. She was funny and did a wonderful job. The food was delicious and came out quickly. I also loved the live music of the evening Amanda. I would definitely recommend this place to eat anytime! I am going to be coming back when I am on vacation.

The gospel brunch is the place for beautiful soul music on a Sunday morning. The breakfast is full of pretty basic, unsurprising buffet standards; but it is filling. Get there early or make a reservation as seating is limited. An ideal spot is in the middle of the lower floor right in front of the musicians. The House of Blues is great for entertainment with a cocktail and some okay food. It is worth a visit if youre new in the area. Were locals and weve been several times. Just dont expect to be overwhelmed with the food. Other than that, all is good.

Arrived a little late for my reservation but I was still accommodated without a wait. The place is clean, and smelled of delicious food. Although they were out of ribs and Brussel sprouts, we were accommodated graciously with great salmon, jalapeño cornbread and a free bread pudding! 9/10 would return with hopes that the kitchen is well stocked!

Good evening, my family and i just had dinner at the house of blues in myrtle beach, sc. This has been the best experience of our trip. Tracy was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable of the menu and venue, not to mention the most friendly person weve encountered while here. She took care of all our needs and our kids many needs with a smile. We then visited the gear shop and unfortunately i didnt get the name of the girl who helped us but she was very friendly and knew her products. Just wanted to let someone know how wonderful these ladies were and know if we come back to myrtle beach we will be visiting again.

The Billy Joel tribute here. It was raining that night and surprisingly they didnt open the doors. So people were standing in the rain. Lucky we werent. Probably because we got there early and had bought seats, so werent in the general admission line. The venue was average, thought it would have better sound. The show itself was disappointing as well way too much bass and acoustic guitar.

Absolutely loved House of Blues! My husband and I came in to get a small bite & drinks before the Nothing More and Bad Wolves show. We bought our tickets through Live Nation which also allowed us to purchase $20 meal tickets and gain early entry. The hostess sent us to the bar so we didnt have to wait on a table. Since there had not been an option to print these tickets they were only in my app. The bartender was new and asked the manager to come help with the transaction. He asked for my ID and went to get out actual tickets (the app says just to show them on the app) while we ate. When he came back, he had all four tickets and we were set. We were running late (our hotel had our room ready an hour late!) so we werent going to get in much earlier, but the staff at House of Blues did everything they could to take care of us. And the food was wonderful as well. The show was amazing and it is a perfect sized venue. Definitely want to come back some day!

Went here with wife and daughter to see Ledger, From Ashes to New, and of course Skillet. This was one of the best concert we had been to. The first 2 bands was a great open act. Skillet blew the roof off. They put on an awesome performance and you can tell theyre not in it for themselves. The band was full of energy from start to finish and even closed out the show with an encore. Will definitely be back when they have another lineup like this one.

Great venue for live performances. My only complaint is that for those of us in wheelchairs, the handicapped parking is far away from the entrance and is located in an incline. Also, the walkway is very bumpy and very difficult to maneuver around in a wheelchair without getting stuck. But since Im a minority (being, one of the small percent in a wheelchair, Im only deducting one star for that). They have some great bands that come to this House of Blues and also have great advertising for upcoming events. I enjoy coming here and the staff/security are very nice and overall very cool.

My husband and I along with some friends including one of which is a friend of the guys in Shinedown went to Myrtle Beach to see them in concert at the House of Blues. The inside of HOB is so funky with all the random artwork on the walls and watching the staff prepare for the night was cool to see how much goes in to getting the place set up and how well everyone works together. One of the things I noticed is that during the show Security guards along the front of the pit were passing out cups of ice water to the concert goers that were packed in. We were in the VIP room and had a security guard and waitress that was checking in with us both of which were upbeat and cool people. If you get the opportunity to take in a show definitely splurge on the good seats!

Gospel brunch: the singers/entertainment portion gets 5 stars. They were absolutely phenomenal. The food, however, is where Im giving the 3 stars. The last time we were here (10+ years ago) we were blown away by the food. I remember it being set up in the kitchen and the selection was overwhelming, not to mention absolutely delicious. That was not the case today. The chicken and waffles, the tenders werent even hot. The croutons in the salad were completely soggy. The buffet itself didnt seem like it was being refreshed well. This place was so cool. It was my firs time going (went to the bon Jovi tribute ). The outside was rustic and has that old rock/jazz feel to it. They also have a restaurant and house of blues gear shop. The line was not to bad but to get in early you could spend 25 or more at the restaurant or get prepaid advanced tickets. Security was thorough and very polite. We met some very nice people in line and had a chat while waiting to get in. The venue was the perfect temperature for a indoor venue. They had multiple bar areas with alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks as well as snacks. The DJ was very interactive with the audience. On a weekend in December, we did the Gospel Brunch and the next day did the Murder Mystery dinner. The gospel brunch was absolutely great service and vibe, and the food was plentiful and delicious. The gospel group sounded great, but played the same things over and over which was VERY ODD. We were there for an hour and a half and heard the birthday song and staple gospel song that they had everyone sing a total of 3 times EACH. It was pretty ridiculous. But again, the brunch is highly recommended and was worth the money. The Murder Mystery left a little to be desired, but it was nice to do something different....silly premise, not so great food and service lacked a lot ( dying to get a refill of sweet tea on multiple occassions, but no one would come over). All in all, a good little House of Blues weekend while at our beach house. I will try it again next time my parents or friends are there and hope for a better gospel group.

General admission was a bit of a nightmare. A little bit a signage could go a long way to minimize confusion, so that the skip the line (very long line) doesnt get confused with the GA (also very long line). This would have saved us about half an hour of additional wait time when we were finally close enough to see that we were mistakenly in the line for skipping the line.Ok, all of that aside, the place was packed. Great for business, to be sure, but it gave us a great place to watch human nature. Having our kids with us, I was repeatedly amazed by the people that had no problem just wandering in front of us and then staying there for a few songs before wandering on and having others repeat the process.Ill consider it an ill-planned fluke and make sure that we prepare better for the next concert we try to attend.

My wife and I were in town for our anniversary and after seeing the information about the Gospel Brunch, decided we would make it a destination. When we first arrived in the restaurant, it was very clear this location doesnt do the large stage production shown in the promo videos. The mornings entertainment was simply a local Gospel quintet (who were good by the way, not critiquing their performance) on stage at the front of the restaurant area. Even with a reservation, they sat us at a table where one seat was completely blocked by a column. After taking several minutes for our server to come to our table (to which other patrons noted and commented to us as they were leaving), we asked to be moved. They simply shifted us down one table where one of us still had our back to the stage, even though there were booths that only had two people seated, with several open when we arrived. While the buffet did have a nice selection of breakfast and lunch items, nothing really wowed us, it all seemed like things we could get at a local pancake house. Overall, we felt the cost for the meal didnt live up to the expectations we had from seeing this online. It was OK, and maybe things are different during peak tourism season, but I dont think wed be returning.
