My wife , and I belong to the Lake NormanClub. We use the North Myrtle Beach Clubas a reciprocal club. I have talked to Karen,and Yvette on reserving boats numerous times. Every time I talk to them they are always very helpful, and exhibit a passion for the position they hold. I also want to commend the staff whom they oversee. The fleet of boats are maintained in ameticulous manner, and are always inpristine shape. Clearly this location is AAA.

WoW! Freedom Boat Club is the way to go! Karen & team are very nice...so focused on making sure their club members are always 100% happy. Rather than buying a boat, the associated expense, I love the idea of going online, reserving a boat of my choice and having it ready when I arrive. I really get to enjoy being out on the ocean, without the hassles/expense of owning a boat. My only expense is the fuel I use....Freedom Boat Club handles the rest! Brand new boats in the fleet every year!

First the good. A lower cost and worry free way to own a boat. When you are able to get the boat you want, the convenience cant be beat. However, although in good mechanical condition the boats are somewhat beat up with mismatched cushions, holes in upholstery etc. In addition if you use Waccawachi Marina the boat offerings are limited. The dock help are generally very good.

Freedom Boat Club is AWESOME! I have owned boats all my life until I joined the boat club and I do not plan to ever buy another boat. It is so easy and convenient to use the boat club. You get a great variety of boat choices......fishing, cruising, pleasure. You show up at the dock with your personal items and the boat is waiting for you. All gassed up, clean, and ready to go. No hassle of towing your boat to the water, no time wasted loading the boat after a fun day on the water, and no need to clean the boat. All this is taken care of by the boat club.The staff are very friendly and have been very accommodating of all requests. I cant say enough about how much we have enjoyed our experience with Freedom Boat Club. I recommend it to anyone that loves being on the water.

Freedom Boat Club is amazing. The staff is helpful and kind. The club itself is a great opportunity for anyone to be able to have a boat - make that several boats - and take one out any time you want. You get to use a boat anytime without having the hassles of owning a boat. Not only that, Freedom Boat Club gets the boat ready for you AND cleans the boat when youre done. All you have to do is show up to have a good time! I would highly recommend Freedom Boat Club to anyone!

Been boating with Freedom boat club for two months. Really enjoy this club. Great choice of boats. They have a lot of brand new boats:) The staff is very boat knowledgeable and friendly.

I have been a member of Freedom Boat Club for four years now, and I have to say it has been a wonderful experience. My wife and I had been boat owners for years, and when we were looking to buy a boat a friend told us about the Freedom Boat Club. We went and spoke with Karen Berry and got all the details of the membership, including the rates. When we saw the fleet of boats, and considered the costs involved in boat ownership, it was a no brainer. We have never had a problem getting a boat, even at the last minute. If you want a specific boat, yes, you have to book in advance, about a week. Chris and Paul ,the owners, have always been accommodating and approachable. They have put together club events that gets the members together. They have also expanded the fleet each year. If your thinking about boat ownership, check the Freedom boat club first. You wont be disappointed!

Have been a member since Nov 2014 and have never had a issue with getting a boat. Just give them a few days notice and youll get a boat. I really enjoy all the events they have as well. Its not just a club its a family.

Been members for four years now and have taken boats out of all three local marinas. Always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. Wonderful group with delightful activities throughout the year, great boating experiences and memories made on and off the water.

We took four couples out Wed. from Wacca Wache Marina to Sandy Island. We just want to express our pleasure starting with Bill who was waiting for us and was extremely helpful, to the young lady who met us when we returned. Two of the couples were so impressed they are thinking of joining the club. This is our second year as members and I have to say it gets better and better.

I am the owner of the Freedom Boat Club. I am writing this in response to the review by Christopher Smith. We have boats that are anywhere from 7-8 years old to brand new. They are all in very good to excellent shape as we have a full time staff to keep them in good shape. We have a variety of boats from 18-32 foot long. I believe the issue with the Smiths arose because during our busiest months they were last minute boaters wanting one specific boat. That is a tough combination for a boat club.The frustrating thing about a review like this is that it does not appear that they were leaving the club on bad terms until they were informed that according to their contract they have to give 60 days notice. That is the only requirement that Freedom Boat Club has. You dont have to sign a long term contract to quit you just have to let us know and give 60 days notice whwich is made very clear from the beginning. The emails went from Thank you for all that you have done during our time with Freedom Boat Club (an actual quote from August 28th email) to we couldnt get boats to accommodate a family of seven (August 29th email) to this complaint on google. The only difference being we required them to uphold their 60 day notice commitment.You be the judge. Better yet come check out our fleet for yourself. I think you will find it to be in very good shape with a nice variety of options for boating. We are located in Southport, NC, North Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island South Carolina.

Stay away....stay far away. Mostly older boats and you have to book way in advance to get the boat you want.
