My son loved this pool. He keeps talking about it. Everything was clean and the staff members were nice and friendly. You can take snacks and food. It was a great experience and I hope to take him back again.

Great recreational center. My daughter is taking dance and gymnastics classes and she loves it. The center is very clean and spacious. In addition to the indoor activities they also have a great playground and a pool with a water slide.

Lots of different classes offered. The instructors seem knowledgeable for the beginner and intermediate levels. The gyms are well equipped, fairly clean, and not too crowded when Ive been. The staff is helpful and always available.Weve been to the pool a couple of times, and it seems fine. Just about what youd expect from a public pool. It can get crowded during the summer.

The staff has very little knowledge. I ask a question and get inaccurate info. The director of this facility is rude. He refused to answer any questions. The pictures of the pool are a joke. The pool has been closed since last year. The overall management of this facility is lacking in vision, leadership and accountability. The city or county needs to step in and retrain the few employees that they can train and terminate the supervisors and managers. Your employees can only perform at the level you train them and at this facility its obvious the leadership team needs replacing...

The facilities were clean and keep orderly. And I was surprised to see that the center provides for many activities and I well organized. We should issue more securities to provide more of these types of facilities.I will include this in my proposals when undertaking outreach for procurement activities up and coming.-Overseer Philip

The Silver Mesa Recreation Center is a great place to go and beat the Las Vegas heat. It has a very large pool with a great slide!! Me and my son got on the slide at least 12 times. It was a blast! I did have a couple of down sides. One was the fact that there were quite a bit of loose tiles at the bottom of the pool. I dove in and back up to the surface. I didnt want any of the kiddos hurting there feet. The other down side was that the pool only goes to 4 ft all away around. Other than that I give this place a thumbs up and we will be going back. Oh one more thing, the price is great too! 3 bucks for adults and 2 bucks for kids and you can bring your own snacks. Now that you got the scoop go get your splash on!

Neither the schedule on the website or the actual sign out front is ever accurate. The water is absolutely freezing and the staff is extremely abrupt.

Basicly all three of my sons have been enrolled in multiple classes ex: karate, hip hop for tots, gymnastics. The staff was always friendly except this last registration I asked to switch a class that still had availability. Of course as a paying customer they agreed. My information was taken to make the switch. Once classes started I asked the lady behind the desk to check and make sure the change was made. It wasnt. They took my information and I did not hear back from them. Because the day had been switched from Tuesday (Gymnastics) 11-12 to Thursday 12-1 I took my son once Today on time. After stretches the Gymnastics instructor decided to take my son out of her class to let me know he was not supposed to be in her class. There were 8 students in her class at the time and my son was the 9th so she decided to stop what she was doing to kick my son out because the desk Ladies made multiple mistakes. I tried to ask for Jasmine whom is the the woman in charge of the rec center but I have not heard back from her even after my husband sent her an e-mail. I tried to get refunded but only Jasmine can help which has yet to happen. My son asked to go back to his class with his best friend who also attends this class so I politely asked the Gymnastics instructor to please let him finish his class until everything was sorted out. She denied my request stating Normally I would add him but my class is already full to the max at 8 students who are full of energy. That was her way of letting me know she did not care about my sons feelings or his situation. I payed for a class that my son was kicked out of.

Very good place for the young and the seniors. Keep you moving. Always something to do for the retirement age.

I tried to sign my daughter up for soccer with Silver Mesa. I didnt learn of their league until Friday night before the last day of registration. I tried that night to make an on-line account and sign her up but the website kept saying my account wasnt activated, even though I clicked the activation link from the email they sent. I called the next day, Saturday, at 1:30p to ask questions and was told my account wouldnt be activated until I signed my daughter up for an activity. How can I sign her up for an activity if they wont activate my account? So the lady told me that I could sign up in person but they closed at 2:30p. At this point it 1:45p. I sent my husband to sign her up. He arrived at 2:02p and the doors were locked. An employee was outside and said that they closed at 2p not 2:30p but to show up on Monday and they would just do an override. I showed up just sign her up and told them that they said they could just do an override and the front desk person, who was very nice, called the sports area and they told her that everything was full.This place, in my opinion, is very disorganized. They gave the wrong time for their business closing, they wont activate your account unless you sign your child up for an activity but you cant sign your child up for an activity if you dont have an active account, and they had me spinning my wheels for nothing and now my kid doesnt get a play a fall sport. And theyre pretty on apologetic about it. The attitude seems to be Oh well, not my problem.

My kids are going to summer camp here. Wow what a great organization. My boys goto safekey until 3:30 then enjoy the FUNZONE until 6:45pm . The staff in both safekey and FUNZONE are amazing. Everything is well organized, facility is very clean, everyone greets you with a smile. I definitley love bringing my kids here and my kids love it too.

My daughter attends ballet, tap dance, and gymnastics classes here on saturdays. Ahe really loves it. Im so glad they offer a variety of classes and events here for kids

This place is great. The kids get really roudy on the inside but the staff there do there best and they do a darn good job. I attend one of the classes there and even in the classrooms its really well managed and organized.

I appreciate all of the services they offer. My family has benefited from the affordability of the summer camp. I felt safe with him there he was supervised and always had great experiences. Truly a blessing!

We have all our kids taking swimming lessons here. They are very kind helpful and professional. Too bad the pool is not very deep so you can stand everywhere.

Love this community center. My son plays sports here and also really enjoys cooking classes there. Very reasonable and great to have in the neighborhood.

I loved the ceramics class. The instructor was very helpful. And although I am the oldest by far in the class, the younger students were very accepting.

Mostly visit the pool now but have put kids in dance & gymnastics. Overall its a good place for many different activities.

This is a great place. They offer all kinds of classes at VERY reasonable prices like gymnastics, ballet, tap, art, pottery and ceramics, cooking, jujitsu, and much more. They have an after school program for kids to go enjoy various activities in a safe place called Fun Zone. They offer field trips during the summer for fun zone members, and they have several pool parties and events throughout the year. They also have Safekey here as well as the summer camp and winter break and spring break camps. Safekey even offers field trips and pool days also. They have 2 fitness centers, one focusing on cardio and the other on strength training and weights. I was excited to find that they also offer rental spaces for various events like baby showers, graduations, weddings, and more and their rates are very reasonable. They have various sports leagues also. Oh, and they just opened a new Senior Center for those over the age of 65. So glad we found this place. It definitely has something for everyone.

Every time I come the staff are so nice and very helpful. My daughter does ballet here and her teacher Ms. Lisa is very kind and patient with the kids. I am so glad I found this place for my kids to do extra curricular activities.

Not a good experience. On Saturday, May 30, 2015 I called just to ask one question no one was picking up my call so I drove to the center and while I was parking and after the phone ringing for 45 minutes they answered. The second issue was due to a misunderstanding with my registration and I believe they should have a list of proper procedure to follow when a new person is trying to use their facility. This place is awful it needs to run better, they are losing too many people to other community centers. The best experience I had when I move to Vegas two years ago was with Mirabelli Community Center.

I am there at least twice a week. They have so many activities for the children. Basketball ,crafts ,karate. I think it is great what they have to offer for the children. It helps to keep them off the streets and out of trouble.

Some times it cant get busy its pretty cost-effective they will let you take food into there which is nice theres not really that much of a snack bar and the staff is nice

May 27, 2015 the sign at the pool says it says openWED/THUR 1PM - 4PM.Lots of people standing outside waiting... only to find out that is effective JUNE 6th ??? (next weekend) the temps are going to be in the triple digits this weekend.

Silver Mesa Recreation Center do not have a working staff. Most of the time you see all their staff standing around the front desk talking. Then if they are not hanging out gossiping about people where customers can see them, you see them in groups of two or more talking and standing around the center.Most disturbing is their new rule that the Silver Mesa Recreational Centers Basketball Team cannot have anything more than water during practice and games, and the childrens drinks must be put in an assigned area at all times. The parents and families of the players are not allowed to have any sort of drinks what so ever. I dont understand the logic of this new rule except the health consequences that could result from those who have medical conditions and most importantly dehydration due to the extreme heat during the summer time.As a parent of two children who play basketball for the this recreational center I have witnessed the staff harass, single out certain teams, threaten parents, speak very disrespectful to adults, yell, and incite an argument because of their new rule about drinks in the gym.I have never experienced such attack at this gym (until now), Tarkanian Gym, high school gyms, convention center Jam On It basketball tournament, YMCA gyms, just to name a few gyms that I have been to taking part in the sport of children playing basketball. Teams, parents, family, and friends were always allowed to at least have a bottle of water and bottle Gatorade to drink.What is the real concern? I can understand that maybe water or drinks could get spilled on the floor and that is why there is staff to help with situations like that. Sometimes people get sick and vomit, or hurt and bleed, or have accidents. Is the real problem that the staff do not want to do their job, but instead just get paid for showing up to work.Tax payers pay for the center and families pay additional fees for participation in specific activities. Maybe cutting staff or shutting down the center would help these employees to appreciate having a job that serves the community. The community which allows them to have a job and make money that many unemployed do not have. Or maybe the city would re-evaluate this non-sense if and when a lawsuit is made because someone gets sick or dies because they were prevented from having a drink while cheering on their grandchild or child in a game of basketball.Do your job and serve the community! The community pays for the center, staff, and activities, so dont make it unwelcoming that no one wants to be apart of this particular recreation center. Remember, people can always take their kids somewhere where they will feel part of a family and not an enemy that is always on attacked.

I came here to silver mesa for summer camp when i was 10 or 11 and I HATED this place I begged my mom to let me stay home, I even tried convincing her that I would do chorus. My friends didnt like it either. Anyway the staff were mean, the only rhig they like were to boss us around and the parents. Tightest wrist bands that I had marks for 3 weeks. Some older kids were bullys and mean. The staff made us run laps around the gym for a kid coughing while they were explaining something or a kid talking back or some other accusion of someone rolling their eyes. When it was lunch time they gave us the discison to either bring are food, vending machined, or three squares (search it up) it was lettuce with ranch, the lettuce was soggy, ranch was okay, cookies were good, sandwhiches were horrible. They only good part was they had crafting, pool tables, a pool near by (you had to pay for it to enter). We played minigames like 4 corners, ispy, army navy and alot more, I hoped they changed since then other wise my advice is to not come here.
