Great public course. Everyone was friendly, and we enjoyed our round. Let a single play through mid round, since Im slow thats less than expected!

Very nice course. Well maintained. Pretty wide open off the tee but shots into the green often have pretty severe elevation changes. The greens are pretty well kept with a lot of slope. Make sure you stay below the hole. Pretty challenging for all handicaps.

Great day for golf , hole eleven went left 5 feet of fairway and stepped on a hornets nest and got stung 6 times. Still had a good time

Played here yesterday. The starter is the rudest person I’ve ever encountered on a golf course, he should be fired immediately. Just to be clear 11/5/2020 is the day I played. When I asked the kids that cleaned the carts about the starter they agreed he’s a jerk and said everybody that plays here agrees. Fire him and I’ll continue to play your course.

Great layout for all grades off player. From tee too green very well maintained. May I make a suggestion. The day I played there was a tournament going on. We followed the last group out. Maybe leave more time between the last group and the next tee time. Looking forward to playing the course again.

Had a tee time at another coarse and they over booked. We met the owner of Sagamore, who just happen to be there. He called his coarse and got us on within 30 min. Its a fun coarse and challenging. The people are as friendly as anyone I have met at any coarse, and I go to a lot of different places. Thanks Sagamore

As an avid golfer who golfs 3 times a week, I was looking for a place to go golfing with my friends in the Hampton area. Also I feel that my opinion can be valued as I am a golf course employee myself respecting the course and having an understanding of the proper customer service at a golf course and how the course should be maintained. Part of what took us here is the junior rate of pay your age (me and my friends are aged 17 so right on the cusp) plus the $5 cart fee. When we walked in a younger employee directed us to a man behind the counter who was in the midst of a conversation with people who did not appear to be his fellow employees or customers. After waiting for approximately 1 minute without saying anything the guy turned to us only to seem annoyed that his conversation was interrupted and he had to actually do his job. When we told him the junior rate, he seemed surprised that we knew about the rate, and instead was going to charge us the full rate without even asking our age. After telling him we were 17, he then asked if we were riding a cart which we replied yes. He then said bluntly to us well your walking cause you have to be 18 to ride a cart. Why would he ask if we were riding if he already knew we couldn’t. Also we had our drivers licenses present and the guy demanded you have to 18 and on his words “the standard rule for all golf courses”. 1-We couldn’t wrap are head around how we drove ourselves to the course on the road but could not drive a 5 mph golf cart. 2-that’s not a “golf course standard” and I told him that is not a rule at the course I worked at which by the way is much nicer than this farm field known as Sagamore Hampton Golf Club. I believe that he knows that is not a standard but saw my age and thought he could make something up that I would believe assuming I knew nothing about course rules. Little did he know he was dealing with an employee of one. Me and my friends then asked how much it was to rent a push cart and the price was $7, which was more than I have seen at any course. After dealing with that rude employee we were annoyed but still kept an open mind on the course overall but unfortunately it continued to go down hill. I showed the starter the receipt that was given to me and he saw the tee time listed for the 3 of us to play. My friend who did rent a push cart showed him the receipt for that but then also demanded he show him his receipt for golf even though I already checked the 3 of us in and furthermore why would have a receipt for a push cart if he was not playing golf, what is he just gonna walk around the course with no clubs and a push cart. With multiple groups standing around it was confusing to know who was up first, which was told not told to us by the starter. We then got out on the course to be even more disappointed. The grass was so long you couldn’t tell the difference between the fairway and the rough on some holes. Lastly, when we were on one of the tee boxes the maintenance crew were weed whacking and lawn mowing but continued while we hit, which they are supposed wait to stop the noise and continue when the group is done teeing off. Despite the aggravation inside of me during the round, not playing my best, and the poorly maintained course, I still shot a 41, what a joke. I will never be back to this golf course. If you like dealing with ignorant and rude workers then this is the place for you.

Just showed up to golf 18 Holes but the place was so awful I only did nine. One of the key boxes said it was 150 yards in the hole, was literally 20 yards off the green. As soon as I walked in I was greeted rudely didn’t appreciate the service at all and was insulted about my age. Wicked easy course but truly awful ground condition, some holes were hiking a mountain. Not to mention despite intending to write a quote I was told that I had no choice but to walk on a 90° day. This is my first and last time I will be golfing at Sagamore in North Hampton.

Was really disrespected at driving range by younger kid. I called the owners and they completely made me feel better. I didnt ask for anything and theyre sending me a package. Ive been going for years only had 1 bad time. Kid had braces and was laughing at me while I was speaking with manager over a fake coin I was given for helping leave early. Manager said it could have been a joke. Which in my eyes is not funny for me to drive with friends and be treated like Im a joke. But I cant speak enough about how good I was treated by upper management an ownership. Ive always loved Golfing at Sagamore. This almost changed my views .glad to see owners treating you right .I give it 5 out 5

The only star is 100% for the course and its condition. Decent lay out and above average upkeep. When we arrived I was optimistic and the staff (at first) was very friendly and helpful. We were only playing 9 so we asked if we should play the front or the back. The starter raved about the back and how it was more of a golf course and that there would be NO ONE behind us so we could take our time. So we took his advice and went off 10. Then after hitting my approach on the 10th we were told there was 10 high schoolers behind us waiting to tee off. We shrugged it off and tried to keep our pace up. Then on 13 we were FORCED to skip the hole then were belittled by the high school coach for our tee choice. (I am a 12 handicap I know which tees to use) One shining light in all of this was one of their course embassitors Frank. He showed us a hidden tee box on 14 which made the hole more aesthetically pleasing and fun to play, as well as being the only apologetic soul on the entire course . Overall I loved the course itself but the staff and lack of planning will discourage me from playing there again.
