Splendid bridge at the gorgeous Niagara Falls. This is such a grand and a very very important bridge. The road is well maintained and there are immigration checkpoints on both the sides of this bridge. Its aptly called as rainbow bridge which of course looks like a rainbow as well as it proves to be a beautiful rainbow between the two great countries USA and Canada. Also the name is perfect as we also can relate it with the famous Niagara Falls mist rainbow. Really awesome atmosphere and great views !!

We walked the bridge from the US to Canada to enjoy the views of the falls and the Canadian side. It’s gorgeous! Make sure to take a moment to pause with one foot in each country’s territory. Overheard on the bridge: “I wish every border was this easy to cross.” Amen and amen! May it be so.

Just crossed a to do of our bucket list - the visit to this area around Niagara Falls lives up to highest expectations. Both sides, Canadian and the USA, have their own amazing offerings of sights, foods, and accommodations. Our favorites include the Duty Free Shop in Canada, and the MADE IN USA shop in America.

Highly recommend! This walk to Canada gives you an opportunity to stand with one foot in each county AND a gorgeous view of the falls. In fact, The Canada side view In general is far superior. You do need a passport (both ways) and a dollar in quarters (on the way back) to make the trek. It’s 100% accessible, too, which is a major benefit!

It was a breath taking view of the falls and a cool way to go to another country. People are able to walk on the side. Just keep in mind that when you go back to US, the border officers are stricter and take more time, so add that to your travel time. Approximate waiting time at the border is 30-2hrs, depends on the rush hours and holidays.

Crossed through here both ways on a summer weekend and each side was quite efficient in terms of Canada-US border crossings - much better than I had heard it would be. Crossing into the US took much longer than crossing into Canada. There are wonderful views of the falls as you enter the US while you wait in line in your car for the booths, so have the camera ready!

If you have the opportunity to walk across this bridge I highly recommend it. You can see a clear overview of the Niagara Falls and also see the whole river. It is very peaceful to walk on. If you are on the Canada side you will be able to walk to the whole bridge. If you are on the United States side you will have to go through Customs to be able to see and walk the whole bridge. Again, recommend walking on this. It is also a nice view if you are going through Customs in your car.

What an awesome, amazing, beautiful place. The USA side, very nice, but to get the full view and experience the awesomeness of the falls, you have to visit the Canadian side. So many different places to see the falls, and then the fireworks. Just amazing. If you never been there, you will be shocked with the price of food and drinks. Almost $100.00 US for hamburger, french fries, 2 hotdogs. 1 beer, 2 glasses of wine, and 2 soft drinks. Again, for the views, just amazing

This is usually our go to bridge to cross the border. You have 2 options for crossing here. You can drive over or you can walk across as well. Depending on the time of day, this bridge gets you onto the otherside quite quickly as long as you have the right documents to cross. Going back into Canada will cost you $3.75 US or $5 Canadian whereas going back to the United States from Canada costs $1. Lots to do and see on the Canadian side from amusement rides, haunted houses, wax museum and zombie hunts and most importantly..has the better view of the falls!! The American side of Niagara is vacant for a lack of a better word. Abandoned houses and businesses everywhere, totally run down. Outlet malls are your best bet here, but the deals arent that good when factoring in the exchange rate. Better bang for your buck when $$ is close to par. Great for walking or cycling ...

I loved the option to park on the American side and walk over. The view of the falls from the bridge were incredible. At the middle point there was a plaque notating the dual nation location. It was a bit breezy on the day we were there, but comfortable. It took about 30 minutes to get into Canada as there was only one person working. From what we’ve read & heard that is pretty normal. Going back over bridge to the American side you’ll need a $1 in either Canadian or American quarters. Getting back into the American side was really quick & they were very nice. If you enjoy walking this is a must experience.

I had an unforgettable experience here with my friends in 2013. Five friends from five countries had fun here. The Rainbow Bridge is a nice landmark to experience. People on the U.S side could have conversations with people on the Canada side without crossing borderlines. That was really epic. We couldnt go beyond the borderlines into Canada , so, we made temporary friends with people on the Canada side and enjoyed our friendship while it lasted. I enjoyed watching the falls, and also enjoyed my cruise on the Maid in the Mist ship. Whenever you visit Niagara, make sure you see the Rainbow Bridge, and try to make friends with people on the other end

I had always dreamt of standing on this bridge and witnessing both sides. I enjoyed every second of the view on the American side. Then, when crossing the bridge I noticed that instructions considers only few countries for which reason I passed onward with much confidence that I could simply ask to see the view from the other valley. Surprisingly, the lady at the border toasted a document for me to sign it stating that I am violating the bridge law and did not even allow me to breath or speak! Neither did I have the right to keep a copy! Returning to the other side I realized the difference.

The view while you wait to cross into the United States of America is simply beautiful and also some good people watching. The bad news is the line back into the United States of America is really long and take more time than other boarder crossing. However, if you have time to kill it is worth the wait. Be sure to get food on the Canadian side as the United States does not have much to offer

The bridge is a beautiful place to see Niagara Falls. Note crossing into the US from Canada walking you need $0.50 to walk in quarters. You can take some great photos from here as well walking across. When going into Canada we chose to walk vs driving in and and we experienced Canada that way. It saved driving through the border. When driving across make sure you leave plenty of time as it can take some time to get across especially during the peak hours.

Went in a Sunday around noon, and it was smooth, hardly any cars where there waiting. The only thing that I missed while doing my research about what and how to cross the Canadian/USA border was a permit that non Canadians need to have along with the visa. The entry permit is good for 6 months and its $6 per person. For that we had to get down from our vehicle, go to a very busy office, wait for 45-1 hr (with a toddler who was loosing it after such a long wait) but after that, everything was speedy. They way back home was hassle-free.

They should improve signage explaining buses and trailers are serviced on right side at the border check.Advice - try to get to left lane at the very beginning of the bridge.View onto waterfalls from border line is awesome, line moving extremely slow allows taking photos (but you may want to be in slower right side lane for that - your choice!)

Iconic bridge linking Canada and USA. Worth a walk onto/across from either side to obtain a different view of each of the Canadian and American falls.(NB. Much renovation work was being carried out at time of our last visit. This prevented downstream views of the gorge but still enabled clear and worthwhile views upsteam to both Falls).International visitors should note that, if walking across from the more popular Canadian side, you will need your passport and will need to go through the tedious US border control on the far side of the bridge should you wush to enter the USA, to enable you to then walk to the (arguably much less impressive) American Falls.

Cant say how much we loved being on the bridge and watching the falls!! Went on a mid August Tuesday around 4p. Weather was nice enough for no jacket. Walk from beginning to end is about a 5 minute stroll. It took us 15 because we took hundreds of photos. Bridge is wide enjoy ugh for at least two wheelchairs side by side, so even though there were others it never felt crowded. Wait to get into Canada was about 20 minutes, as only a couple of people/families were allowed to go in at a time. Canadian Border officials were super kind. Process, once in Border office was leads than five minutes. Theres an amazing duty-free store that you can shop in before you leave Canada. Theres a Starbucks, hard Rock Cafe, coca cola and Hershey store(the only one in Canada!) directly across the street from the bridge. You cross into Canada for free. When leaving the Canadian side, you pay a $1 toll (in quarters) to get back onto the bridge going to the usa. Unfortunately, the usa border agent was not as was and welcoming as the Canadian one.We parked around ten minutes walking distance from the bridge for $20 us dollars. There was ample parking closer to the bridge, but I did not see the cost.I cannot wait to return. I absolutely recommended!!!
