Its amazing to look back and remember how terrified I was of this bridge when I started driving almost 20 years ago as a teenager and now I use these bridges multiple times a week without even thinking. The only issues are how narrow it is, and just how quickly it narrows from the main 190, as well as the lack of merging space for people coming from Buffalo Ave onto the bridge making it trouble for everyone involved even though the speed is reduced to 55.Otherwise, its an absolutely beautiful stretch of scenery I wish I could enjoy more except Im rarely a passenger. Would love to walk it someday but wonder the best and closest place to park car to access it.

The North Grand Island Bridge is a pair of twin two-lane truss arch bridges spanning the Niagara River between Grand Island and Niagara Falls in New York, United States. Each bridge carries one direction of Interstate 190 (I-190). Both crossings are operated by the New York State Thruway Authority as part of the Niagara Thruway. The northbound span opened in 1935;[1] the southbound span was finished in 1965.[2]A southbound-only toll is collected on the Grand Island side of the bridge. Lanes one, six and seven at the Grand Island toll plaza are for E-ZPass users; the remaining lanes are manned toll booths.

Theres a toll in the bridge we never knew of. Got a bill for 1 dollar in Canada months after we passed through it and a day later a bill for USD 51 because we didnt pay on time!!!! In the middle of this pandemic, we never got the first bill on time. AND to make things worse we couldnt pay that one either because its been more than 180 days. AGAIN, we never got the bill that we never knew it would be charged. ABSURD! I now drive around this stupid bridge.

Very beautiful bridge, but wish there were shoulders. Lanes are narrow and surrounded by walls. I realize its an old bridge but maybe sometime in the future it could be widened? The merge from buffalo Ave and the parkway onto the bridge is very dangerous. Wish it had better pedestrian features

I love that Google wants me to rate a bridge. Its a bridge. Crossed it many times and never got wet. I would recommend this bridge to friends and family.

You get a great view Niagara River and see Falls

It is a toll bridge, be careful, I received the ticket 1 month later, I think $1 for one time, not too much, I got a $2 ticket, which is for go and come back through the bridge.

Be aware. This is a toll bridge that you must go online to pay. A terrible thing when you are a visitor in a rental car, as there is no info about it at all, nor a warning.

Smooth ride over to Niagara Falls, the merg from Buffalo ave and Robert moses highway on to southbound is an area for all to use caution .

Its often a traffic nightmare. Seems to always have construction taking place. It does make the commute from Buffalo to Niagara Falls a lot quicker.

The bridge is great. I just wish people werent so afraid of it. One minute the are going 65+ on the 190 then the slam on their brakes when they approach the bridge. It drives me crazy!!!

I always visit this place when I am coming home via the expressway, or going to somewhere via the expressway

Its bridge... rode my bike across the pedestrian sidewalk portion. The repairs they made over the years made the experience smoother.
