I think the girls club is a good thing and they seem to be helping the community a lot however all of the state of the art technology installed at 101 ave D (like planetarium and radio studio) I wonder how much the girls used. It seems to be a waste of money that was put into all fancy technology when the girls really do not have access to it. What kind of use are you putting to the globe theater etc built for the girls? It seems like the money could have put to help the girls in the club rather than all the frills.

I volunteered at the Lower Eastside Girls Club with my company and was impressed by their high-tech, beautiful space and abundance of programs. Whether its a sewing class (with the sales of crafts going towards other club programming) to gardening on the roof to working in the bio lab, LEGC really does serve the community.
