This club is on point.There was a nice mixed crowd.Nice light, and sound system.The DJ played all the hits.No problems with the bouncers.The staff was professional.Everyone had a great time.

The door staff at this venue are phenomenal. Chris is the best bouncer I’ve ever met in my entire life, so charming and funny. Welcoming face and great vibes every time. I feel like I’m at home every time I’m here. Music is great and it’s always a fun experience. I recommend this place to everyone!!

Theres only one small bar. The place is set-up for table service so prepare to wait for a drink if you dont have a bottle.To guys: Recommended if youre willing to commit your night to one location. $200-$300 bar tab to be collected at the door. This will secure your stay.To ladies: Hit up a promoter and play groupie.

This has always been one of my least favorite clubs for the decade I have been going out, but as a fashion model you are likely going to end up here if you socialize. Usually a fashion crowd on mondays.The space itself is poorly designed for a club and there’s barely any decor (it’s a long narrow room with high ceilings so you’re pushed into other tables and the general crowd no matter where you are). Crowd is fun for me because I get to see industry friends and models I know.Expect the place to be crowded and very dark. Crowd is fun. The music is ok. Top 40 hip hop mostly, and it’s expensive. Bar is not a big thing here. Usually you’ll have to buy a table.Doorman is Wass (a nYc institution when it comes to nightlife), but there are others that can be rude and crass. If they’re rude to models and made enough impressions over this many years, it’s bad. Can’t imagine how they treat other customers.Wass is nice, you’ll recognize him by the motorcycle he parks in front of the door and because he’s always well dressed. If it were not for its proximity to 1oak and fashion crowd I can’t imagine how this place would survive. I give it 4 stars for consistency and resilience haha.

Never a dull moment. Consistently great DJ lineup. Best staff. Bottle parades a must. Don’t hate if you can’t get in. Try again next time.

I was a with my girlfriend last night near the area and we decided to go and grab a drink at avenue club... we arrived at the door and nicely we asked how long it’s gonna take us to get in, the answer was 400 hundreds min to spent at the bar from the guy with the beard at the door, he was very rude and started cursing becoz I told him u cheating and playing with ur customers and specially when somebody is with a girl, I will never go back there and never recommend that place to anybody!!! THE WORST IN THE CITY!!! Trying to steal people’s money..!!!

This place was terrible. Waited outside for 45 minutes with 6 people, mix of ladies and gentlement. They literally let 30 random people in before us. Later asked Chris if we were going to be or wasting our time hr said we had to speak with the doorman who was Caucasian, wearing a studded jacket but would not tell us his name. The man would not speak to me at first and then said just accept the rejection in a very rude manner. Its not like they didnt have space because he wad letting everyone else in and we wanted to pay the cover fee.. He was just prejudiced against anyone who wasnt skinny and blond. I do not recommend going here the bouncers are terrible.

The doorman named Chris is dushbag who thinks hes something.He is digysting in so many ways, the he speaks, the way he looks on the girls. I was let in, but there are definitely better places regarding the population without being so hard on you at the entrance. Do not go.

We waited in the cold for 45 minutes while being led on by promoters, all for them to call my friend fat. Following that, a security guard said he would be ‘nice to us’ and let us in after the whole staff insulted my friend (We decided not to go in.). I’ve been to lots of clubs and bars in NYC but I didn’t think this kind of stuff actually happens. Please don’t support these people and their disgusting business practices.

Went to Avenue once and Ill probably never coming back again. I couldnt stand the lousy doorman who charged every girl to get in except people who were from his own crew. He was such a tool. We had a table upstairs, it wasnt worth it. I wouldve given it a lower rating if it hadnt been for the decor of the place and the decent music and some of the people. Wouldnt come back again.

It was a kind of pricey club to be at. The clientele are a mixed group. I went on a Thursday night but everyone was still having a good time. They were really accommodating and took care of their guest.

Great for takeout. if you eat in, it will be dead. there is almost never anyone in there, but dont be deterred. most of the orders are take out because of the area, but it was good. plus they were so sweet when I forgot my umbrella there.

The bouncer is an piece of sh**. He denied entry to me and my friend from South Carolina while we are both well over 21. Snapped both of our license in half. He wouldn’t even scan out ID to see if the information matched all the other forms of ID that we had, but he scanned everyone else’s. I’m turning 23....will never come back here

Coolest bars to hang out in new York. Has different areas for different vibes. Good for groups or just if youre going alone. Drinks are well priced and would definitely go hang out here.

I got through security, then the door man asked who I saw there with? strange question...I pointed to my husband. They asked me to go back. Sadly, a white girl came in with about 6 friends said she was with someone... and they let them all through. I tried asking the bouncer what that was about and he got rude and said in that case I wont let u guys in any more. Thank u bouncer! Pro: Venue is sexy, exclusive and spacious.Con: drinks are expensive, and the door is hard to get through.Nonetheless, I was here for a private party and we had a great time. I didnt have to pay for drinks because we got bottle service but I heard the drinks at the bar are out of this world. Music was awesome but then again, we hired the DJ. So overall, I cannot tell you how this place is without the bottle and our DJ. The venue definitely is a great looking place.

Most terrible and shame place in NYC. Terrible service(nobody knows what they are doing), terrible security(they are more than costumers and they are making discomfort for costumers), terrible bartenders(they don’t know what they are doing just they are charging more more and more) , terrible music, I’ve never see low level club in my life like that .

One of the better clubs in Meatpacking. Door remains tight despite being around for a while. Poorly mixed drinks are crazy expensive (expect a $20 coke with a splash of rum) but the decor is sexy and so is the crowd. Music varies but usually top 40 or house remixes of top 40, with a bit of hip-hop thrown in here and there. Again, door is hard and they can be really rude. Know a promoter or buy a bottle for easy ride in.

Ladies of color DO NOT GO HERE. They are racist. Bouncers are rude. Owner is rude. DO NOT waste your time. Didn’t even deserve one star.

Big fan of their music (mixed with a lot of hip hop&RnB). Cool dancing crowd. But only 2 unisex-restrooms in whole club, if youre unlucky youll wait in line for 30 mins except you know someone wholl let you skip.

Great place I really like it

This place usually has awesome music for the hip hop and rap crowd. Its a nice venue but gets overcrowded very quickly. Many of the groups that come in are models flocked by promoters and dont really vibe with you unless youre part of the clique. After a few years of being in that promoter group, the fake vibe got old so i avoid this place and would never enter without a promoter because of the cost.

Majorly over crowded. Everyone was packed in like sardines. Moreover, after we dropped $1k on two bottles they did not provide us with a table. We were told to use the shared table space. Great idea... except it was so crowded that we couldnt get to our shared space. So we effectively had no idea who was helping themselves to our bottles. It took buying another bottle (now putting our bill into the $1.5-1.7k range) to get our own table upstairs.I truly dont understand how folks on the bottom floor could have enjoyed themselves in any capacity. Everyone was standing shoulder to shoulder. There was no dance floor. The lines to the bathrooms were ridiculous.To top it all of, I ended up stepping out for a phone call and then could not get back in. Ironically, that was the highlight of my night... I was thrilled to escape clusterf* that was happening inside.

Visiting from Miami searching venues for business, passed this place and went to ask the bouncer what it was... bouncer said it was Avenue and said okay Im not from here want to further explain and yhe just said it was Avenue and told me to leave. Worst service ever didnt even go inside would never want to go in.

I went there on a Tuesday night with two beautiful girls and they wanted to charge $200 each! Such a scam considering it was dead and the bouncers were extremely rude and even threatened to get physical by simply trying to negotiate. Terrible experience would NEVER consider going back.

This club has the worst employees. My friend, beautiful and with curves, was denied entry into the club after everyone who was in her party got in. The manager refused to let her in, despite her being one of the most attractive out of the bunch and legal. Meanwhile, several sketchy people who were waiting behind her had no issues. The music nor prestige of the place are good enough for it to be this picky and selective. Basically, get new statf!!

Avenue used to be my favorite club but after the renovations it went to trash! The bussers mad rude, the DJ plays half songs but lets the whole stupid techno song go and its low-key a worse design! I hate it now man!

Not even one star. The doorman would not let me and my friend in last night. As other people walked up to the line and got out of their cabs, they were invited into the Avenue without hesitation. After waiting outside the ropes for 15 minutes we decided to walk away. The issue was clear....we were not welcomed into the club because of the color of our skin.

Very stylish and trendy setting, but not the friendliest of staff nor the variety of drinks one would expect from a place such as this.

Ah avenue, another typical models and bottles club in Chelsea with trendy decor, overpriced drinks. The place is not designed for people to dance as there is little space between tables. Music is usually good, mainstream EDM or pop, its a shame we had to dance on the couch with caution because we were wearing heels. My advice? Dont go unless you are getting a table. The door is notoriously tough and you probably wont have much fun without a table anyways.

People of color are not valued here... was kicked out for no reason, had no coat or anything. Made us wait outside like we weren’t worth it. We asked for our coats and they refused; if you are non-white don’t bother as you will be discriminated against.

Where do I start if you are not an a attractive female preferably of the Caucasian type be prepared to be scrutinize by the security should he choose to acknowledge you. You will then be given the fee to enter and in most my case asked to solicit your credit card before you enter the club. In short typical wannabe trendy NY nightclub with overpriced bottle service where the price is determined by your attractiveness, race or perceived financial status.

My girl friend and I went with our latino guy friend but the bouncers let us in with some white guy we didnt know and denied our latino guy friend access. Bouncer had the nerve to tell me i played the race card and to just get my ass back inside. I also got shoved by employees replacing ice buckets constantly. Disrespectful workers don’t waste your money at this venue.

And 300lb, black boy bouncers get upset when you record their misbehavior. One bouncer assaulted me by grabbing my wrist so he could get my phone which I was recording him on. Last time I checked this was America and I can record whatever I feel is not right. Drunk girls stumble out and the bouncers dont care instead they instigate the situation by giving them attitudes. Had bottle service. Pricing was as expected, but the service wasnt great. There were a few other girls at my table that came around 1 and they wouldnt let them in. The space is actually really small, so not sure why someone said its spacious (it was named Avenue for a reason). Interior decor is lacking in style a bit. Music was pretty good, but that is a requirement for any NYC venue. There was like 1 D list celebrity there and some guys who looked like they were 40. Overall, there are way better places to drop money, dance, see beautiful people etc

OK, I am not a 6 model, I dont work on Wall Street, and I dont have amazing connections at Avenue, so how did I get in? Simple: its called BEING NICE. Strike up a conversation with Wass; hes actually an interesting dude. I highly recommend asking him about the time that he had to put onion juice under his eyes in order to cry for a scene about his ex-lovers cousins death. Its a great story. We actually got so caught up in the conversation that he held up the line. Inside the club, its pretty good though not the absolute best. Drinks are overpriced and weak. Warm plates came out cold. I liked the music they played but i was the only one that danced. Also in case you are wondering that day I was wearing the following: romeo gigli blouse with ZARA cigarette jeans and a gold heirloom necklace (but i got it from a pawn shop so doesnt count). highly recommend dressing well.

An employee told her that she couldnt wait outside the bathroom....They were so rude and inappropriate towards us and we were just wanting to have a good time on a Friday night. We decided to leave after about 30 minutes because we couldnt deal with the nasty, vulgar people who work there. If you want to enjoy a good night out please go somewhere else folks. The people who run Avenue dont deserve your business.

Worst club ever. Just as others said before me.We arrived with a promoter who told us the entry fee is $40 and we get a table and drinks. When we arrived we had to pay to a shady guy on the street, he put the money into his pocket than an even worse looking, typical gangster looking man checked us out and said that the boys can go in, the girls just a few mins later. There was Noone at the club at that time which was a little scary as it was well after 10pm. The place was small, dark but elegant. Reminded me to some sect place. The staff than started to put the drinks on the table. Actually they had vodka with apple, vodka with orange, vodka with energy drink. Luckily vodka is the only drink i truly hate. But we live once, ive already paied so, ok lets drink that. 1-2 mins later they started to let in the crowd. They immediately came to our table and i couldnt even get a second glass before the vodka bottles got empty, or just disappeared. A few more mins later there were so many ppl that even the sofas top behind us was full so we just left the table. Than we tried to enjoy the music, which is the only positive about the club, but we couldnt really enjoy it because of the crowd. After a while i had to go to the restroom. In about 20 mins i was able to get there (20meters) but therewas a huge line so i had to wait 30mins to finally get in. We were in the club for about 20 more mins than we left.If u want to dance, u cant. There is no space for that.If u want to drink, u cant. Even if it was advertised as unlimited drink after entrance fee, u will not get more than 1-2 glass of cheap vodka. The drinks at the bar are expensive.If u want to just have fun with friends, u cant. Rude, scary staff, no place to chill for a min, just the sardine hall.I hardly believe everything (or anything?) works legally at that club. They didnt give receipt, and iam absolutely sure that place cant have that many people in at once. Its really unsafe.

Terrible service. Hit in the head with waiters bucket of ice. Place was way to small. All drinks were spilled because of rude wait staff pushing through small crowd in even smaller venue. So disorganized I couldnt even get out of the place without security moving barricades. Payed hundreds of dollars and left under an hour later. Would never return.

This place is absolutely the WORST!. My BF and I came here last night around 2:30am just to grab a drink before heading home, $65 for less then 10 mins. Cover for guys $40 and I got in free, $20 for a crappy drink $5 tip. As soon as we walked in the weed smell was unbearable!!!. Were at the bar ordering a drink and this guy comes over lights his blunt with the candle they have on the bar and is just smoking away, bouncer knows him and tells him keep it low! Are you serious!?. This place is the scum of all places and so are the promoters!.
