Full disclosure. I didn’t actually drink any of the coffee here. We just came in and found that the place was extremely quaint and interesting. They sell books and there’s a coffee shop in the back. Very eclectic and very interesting. Check out my pictures. The next time we are by this area I will definitely drop by look at the books and have some other coffee and treats.

Fabulous space. Light and airy and very pleasant place to view collections. Its such a treat to be able to see a painting from up close and from a distance and from various angles, without bumping into other patrons all the time. Loved seeing Amy Sherald portraits here.

Extremely modern art consisting of essentially blank canvases were in display. Cool bookstore attached, but I couldnt get anything to eat or drink at the crazily decorated bar within, because it was after hours.

Professional, friendly not snooty. Beautiful space. Theres a lovely well-edited bookstore & of course, the deliciousness of the Roth Bar. (Do get the homemade sodas: rosemary lemon is refreshingly thirst-quenching without being too sweet.)

*REVISED. Initially I gave them two stars because of an inconvenience I underwent resulting from poor communication (see below). But, after having visited twice, I really like the gallery. The staff were helpful and courteous, plus the exhibitions worth the trip. I recommend going and advise calling ahead to confirm the hours of operation.Ive heard a lot of great things and was dripping with anticipation to visit yesterday, but they were closed. I called, no answer. Finally received an email a few hours later informing me that their hours had changed to MON-FRI 10-6 and by that time I had left.Im not giving up on them and will likely change my review, but until then 2 stars because they responded promptly. Its also important to note, in the 10 minutes I was there calling and figuring out plan B, over a dozen people pulled on the door, trying to get in. Obviously theres an appreciation of this gallery.

Best gallery in town. Huge, and you dont have to go art gallery hunting for it! Right there. Easily acsessabile by the M12,M11,and M14D buses and the A,C,E,and 1 trains. Cant go downtown have a location on 69 street and Madison Avenue that I have not been to. You like contemporary art, go hereSometimes closed temporarily for a month because of collection changing but tons of other galleries right there

This used to be the home of The Roxy club in New York City. Many artists have performed here. One of our favourites was Yello.
