I went there during OHNY 17. Loved their approach and concept. They work on the same themes and artists year around to have deep understanding and conversation. Competition and capitalism turn art into business (the square is a good movie to watch on this topic) and us into consumers. This place gives you the time and space to appreciate the art as well as the philosophy/mindset of its creators.
A great small, but spacious, space that houses beautiful Italian art. Was very tough to initially find.
CIIMA is a real New York City gem. Interesting exhibits, in a cozy elegant environment. Guided tours are offrered on weekends and delivered by actual scholars. The staff is very welcoming and manages to keep atmosphere friendly and unpretencious. Strongly recommended!
Great experience seeing the Morandi show :)
Great little gallery, exceptionally curated.
Youve got to book ahead for access via tour. Worth it
