Well!! It was a much awaited visit for me.. having only browsed their website, when I finally visited the US, it was a must visit. So, this could be a very biased review!! They have huge collections and almost all brands in most art supplies youd want.. so absolutely check it out if youre around and looking for something you arent finding usually. Their rates are really reasonable, especially when you bulk buy. The staff was super awesome and helpful too! And if you register as a preferred customer, you can avail their online rates which are even cheaper!! Disclaimer: youd be spending much more than youd wanted to, so do allow for that!! Note also that all of their stores are not as big.. so try going to the larger ones for more options like SoHo or 20th street one opposite Trader Joes.

Good afternoon everyone.I just wanted to come here and share my horrible experience with blick art material. In Covid-19 Time, we are all trying our best to be safe, to survive and move a long. I have been wearing a face mask (shield) since Covid started not once did I get yelled at or kicked out of a store for having a face shield, (its been 8 months) today I walked in to blick art material, I was greeted with a loud you need a mask, so I politely answered I do have a mask, its a long face mask front my head down to my neck, I have been wearing this for the past 8 months and I never heard anything about a face shield not being a mask. The lady was very dismissive and was showing me the door, with her finger, now this not a case of a Karen, I wish they put at their door a picture the kind of mask they dont want people to walk in their store with. I felt so disrespected, And humiliated I reached out to customer service and ask if there was a certain kind of mask that was required, the lady on the phone said something that will cover your mouth and nose, so I told her I did better, not only did I cover my nose and face I covered my whole face down to my neck. She told me she would call the store manager and tell them that the face shield was a mask. Thats outrageous, in 8 months they havent figured that out?????Anyway we are living in crazy time lets be nice/cordial /polite to each other. Even if I was in the wrong a simple good afternoon maam, this kind of masks are unfortunately not acceptable in our stores, we are sorry for the inconvenience. would have been fine.We have to do better.

One of the best sales is happening now at this store. We were lucky enough to purchase a 150 count Prismacolor for 93.00 after using my Blick rewards card, normally this would be 312.00. They have ALL art materials on sale! The staff is always there Wonderful to answer any questions you may throw at themJust head over and enjoy the fun!

Great location for both in-store shopping and curbside pickup. Ive come here sooo many times to get some art supplies and they usually have what I need. Good prices and a large selection of high-quality items. As with all Blick stores, customer service is amazing; there is always someone ready to help on the phone (shoutout to Tatiana)! I highly recommend Blick and this location for all types and levels of art needs.

Yeah it was super easy to do the curbside pickup they even took my order over the phone and I didnt have to do it online...

Blick is always a fantastic place to spend a ton of time and money. Theres always something great and new each time. A go-to for any art or architecture student or hobbiest.

This is one of the few art stores that I could find close to work. I was on my way to another spot on 6th Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) when I passed by Blick and stopped in to see if I could find some glitter. I was looking for an extra fine glitter that I could use on certain crafts. A friendly worker lead me to their arts/craft section to where they had a very nice assortment. Of course they had the standard glitter but they also had some shaped glitter, like stars. Seeing the choices they had in store inspired me to try other crafts projects. Of course, this spot has so many things that I chose to browse and found another section that had 12pc extra fine glitter case. I scooped that up quickly. Very happy with my purchase. Wish I was a rewards member sooner because Ill be back.

I have never seen such a selection of paints. Just keep in mind it is more art paint than something you wound use to paint a room. Plenty of other art supplies also but if you need small wood pieces you may be better off at the home depot if you can cut it yourself.

Huge. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Hard to imagine another art store with so many items for sale. Yes, there are a number of famous specialty shops in NYC, but here you can find almost everything. Discounts for card holders.

Recently started bullet journaling. Got all my marker supplies for good price. Staff super helpful.

Love this place. I used to go all of the time when I was in architecture school back in 2013- 14. There was always this helpful older West Indian man there that was fun to talk to and I would keep coming back just for him. Stellar customer service back then. I was surprised to find that when I went back there in 2019 things were pretty much the same. I didnt speak to anyone and I didnt see him but overall pleasant vibes and its more spacious with a more abundant selection than the 23rd St location.

Prices can be high but service is fantastic (until you have to wait in line to pay. We bought paint and wood pieces to make protest signs.

I love the variety of things offered. Ran into the go back to school sale so Im happy about the current prices. The sales person was pleasant I got a rewards card for future purchases

I went there at the suggestion of a Staples sales clerk, to hopefully get an item Staples did not have. Blick did have the item I was looking for. Their sales help were extremely helpful in assisting me to properly install the product and make it ready for use. I cannot praise them enough! Will look forward to doing more business with them in the future......

Great merchandise! At a reasonable price.The only reason they list a star was because the “Only” way to pay was Debit. Odd. No cash. Then I tried to pay credit & the cashier said the company won’t allow a credit purchase on a debit card. Huh? I’ve never heard of that.Anyway. They also have great kid’s art projects, paints, etc!!!

Blick Manhattan was so courteous when I came in Chris who works downstairs was working hard but also made the time to greet me and help me find what I needed and he did it with a Great attitude and a smile wonderful experience I had visiting this place The cashiers were fast too I was in and out in no time! 5 stars!!

This place is huge and well organized. The workers know what their talking about and are more than willing to help you out. Overall I always trust a Blick store because they usually uphold the same business practices across their company.

They always got what you need and if they don’t somehow, they find a substitute that works just as well. Staff is always present and available for questions.

Omg, this place is freaking AWESOME.. Its absolutely huge has several floors and anything and everything you could possibly need or want as an artist and creator. I wish i could live here.

I was charged for 4 Strathmore 6x6 pads, but only bought 3. I wasnt automatically offered a receipt, and when i requested a receipt, was only offered one via e mail, so didnt discover that i had been overcharged until long after Id left the shop. Please contact me and arrange repayment. Thank you.

6th avenue location had lousy customer service today, the custom framing girl working this afternoon had particularly bad customer service skills.

The staff are knowledgeable and genuinely want to help customers of every level and interest find what they need - from consulting on gifts to getting into details with professionals. Offers many gift options that also support artists and art charities directly. Packs a surprising selection into the space with several brands and varieties of every tool and medium, though prices among disciplines.

I love this store. Its cheaper than others around, has all thats needed and I get all my art supplies from there. Highly recommended!

So much goodness, you can spend hours on the lower floor, and youll never leave empty-handed. Good quality materials for artists of any kind and level. Do yourself a favor and get the membership card, its so worth it !

Fantastic store. I go there as often as I can as a disabled person, and the staff are consistently helpful and friendly, and the selection and prices are reasonable. Also, they DO have an elevator for customers who need it! The aisles are a bit cramped, but they seem to be accessible for chair users.

Excellent selection of paints + other mediums and a great shop for both the amateur and adept artist. Dont forget to use your student discount if eligible! Just bring a student ID, theyve always honored it for me. Also bring a small cart or wheelie if possible... Youre prolly gonna leave with a lot more than you came for lol.

After visiting 7-8 stores in Brooklyn and Manhattan looking for a good range of Copic Markers I finally found them here. The other stores had them but only carried a limited range and not the colors I was after. This store and them all and refills. Good selection of mechanical pencils too.

Great art supply store. Close to subway trains E and C lines. Employees are pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. If item(s) is out of stock, they will order the item(s) for you or you can checkout the other Blick location, which is within walking distance, or checkout the Blicks online store.

A quick and easy purchase. Whem you hire staff informed about different lead sizes youre doing something right. The fact they even had the 3 choices I wanted was great! Blicks is my spot!

Helpful folks, good selection, a bit pricey

This is the Blick Store I prefer to go to. They generally have exactly what I need. If they dont have it, to me that simply means that other people needed it just as much as I did and they were the only store with it. Friendly staff, very helpful and I love that there is space to move around...its not cramped.

Small entrance level belies the amount of stuff they have, which is almost all in the lower level. Possibly the best chain art store in New York.

Staff is knowledgable about most things and what they dont know, they enjoy finding out with you. Perfect experience.

Youll find everything you need as an artist, best store in the West side

Wow! Not since Pearl Paint left us have I seen so many exciting things to want to use to make art. I wandered up and down the aisles drooling at every step. Thats the thing about stores. You can find new things to want, whereas, if you just keep ordering your old staples and go-tos, you miss out on all the wonderful new stuff, that you might could want to use on your next masterpiece, that shows up when you are not looking.

Actually I just came in here to get out of the rain. But, they were friendly anyway. I saw they were helpful to the customers and 3x they asked me if I needed any thing. I didnt but if I ever need art supplies, Ill come here.

Blick is a great store, quick tip sign up for the member card, its a great way to save money. They have everything you can think of, for the most part

A heaven for artists who are looking mostly for painting and drawing materials

Very very slow cashiers. Thats why most of all I prefer Michaels store.Believe me. I shop here few times per month and 2 people in front of you takes more than 10 mins to wait.Employees are so slow and unprofessional.

All the staff is super friendly and its easy to find things around the store. Makes me happy just walking in there everything was so organized!
