The Air BNB that we rented was literally a block away from this Pub. It is definitely a local spot, so if you aren’t in to hanging out with the locals, you’re better off somewhere else. The staff, the food, the drinks were all amazing! The food is paid separately, so be ready for that. The staff is amazing and spot on with recommendations and friendly. We became part of the local crowd in a week’s time. Absolutely will make this place a priority when we have a return trip. And, definitely try their iced coffee and a hot toddy.

Great neighborhood spot that Ive been going to for years. They have some of the best pub trivia in the city (pre-COVID). They also have a great kitchen and have changed their bar license to a restaurant license to accommodate Phase 2 pandemic rules. Its great to have them back!

As a Manchester City fan I learned this was the place to watch my club in New Orleans. Ironically, it is the preferred supporters bar for all teams particularly rugby. Regardless, they put the game on the main screen and added volume for my enjoyment. The beers were cold, tasty, inexpensive and readily accessible. The mens room just off the side of the bar was a major convenience as well. I met a local rugby star named Jerry who was kind enough to make me welcome along with John who was a City supporter. Thank you Finn for having a venue even though my team didnt prevail on this day because of the complicity of the referees.

Weekend in New Orleans? Worried that you might miss your favorite sports game? Dont worry, head to Finn McCools. We wanted to watch the Ireland rugby game at 9am and were worried that it might not be open so early but no fear, they open for all the big games, whatever time of day!Fantastic pub, great atmosphere, lovely staff, good food and drink. Plus to top it all, its an Irish bar thats actually run by Irish peoople! Superb place, look it up on your next visit!

Authentic neighborhood bar in Mid-City with one of the best vibes! Known as a local hangout for soccer and sports, they make a good Bloody Mary as well. Pub grub out the back, good for snacks like jalapeños poppers and cheese fries. Prices are very reasonable for drafts and drinks.

Great neighborhood bar. Can get pretty rowdy during soccer matches and trivia (on Mondays), but most of the time the picnic table outdoor seating is a great spot to hang out with friends over a few drinks. My favorite part of Finns though, is the ability to consume your Irish coffee three different ways: regular, iced, or frozen.

Finn McCools is one of my favorite places in the city. Not only do they know how to pour a Guinness properly, but the ambiance is always chill (except if theres a major soccer game). They also have several specialty cocktails, like a frozen Irish coffee to escape the heat. They also sport a decent food menu, the Brussels sprouts win me over every time.

Nice selection of micro and macro beers at reasonable prices, plenty of TVs (staff is even amenable to west coast football in the corners during LSU games) and surprisingly good bar food! My friends and I had a great first visit and will be back for many more. The food really stood out to us! The kitchen is being run by the Wolfhund and while the alligator sausage was average, the salmon fries and accompanying sauce were outstanding!

Finn McCool’s is a really fun spot in the Mid City area of Nola. Any sporting event brings a crowd, especially for soccer but there’s always fun to be had here no matter what is going on. If you are from out of town, looking for a soccer, NHL or another sporting event that likely won’t be on local tv here, give them a call. Chances are they will have it. This is THE spot for St Patrick’s Day/weekend.

Ive only ventured into the pub or if you prefer bar scene for the first time in the last month, but like anything I venture into I like to get a feel for it all. I want to go to every pub and experience what they all have to offer. My latest stop has been at Finn McCools and the short version is that it is an exceptional establishment. The long version is about as long as the bar is at Finns which is to say you dont expect itll ever end until it does. From the start Finn McCools is by far the single largest pub Ive been to and once you step inside youre greeted by a very rustic yet modern aesthetic, a 70 flatscreen (or bigger), the seemingly endless bar, comfortable seating, and so far the friendliest warmest bartenders Ive met yet. Initial impressions are otherworldly from the start. My primary purpose of being at Finns though is the beer. So whats on tap? A few beers brewed by Guiness including the classic stout as well, a few Indian Pale Ales, a great porter, a lager or two, and one or two other things that escape me. Admittingly it isnt the widest selection of draft beer but they have some great options on tap and theyre very very good at pouring a 16oz pint of Guiness. Did I mention the prices? $5 to $8 per 16oz. Exceptional prices. If that isnt enough to convince you Finn McCools also has food. Very good food. Criminally good for it being pub food. What else is there to do beside drink, eat, and watch sports on TV? Play pool. Its a large place and large spaces have plenty of room for plenty of pool tables. You dont like pool? Play darts. Dont like darts? Drink, eat watch sports, or play pool. A few places have as many activities, but most do not.In the end all I could personally ask more of from Finn McCools would be more great beer on tap. As much as I like an original Guiness there are a few tasty stouts they brew that could also be served. If not Guiness there are numerous stouts and porters that would also fit right at home. Regardless Finn McCools has sufficient draft beer and overall is an exceptional place to stop for a drink or a good bit of fun.

It’s a great atmosphere and they have good drinks at good prices. I would not eat here though- we tried to order Brussels sprouts, which they told us they were out of. Then we ordered chicken wings and it took them 5 minutes to tell us they were out of those as well. Then we did not get a refund even when our backup order was worth less than the chicken wings. In the end, all of the food they were able to serve us was bad.

This is the place to watch soccer and grab a pint. Their craft cocktails are fantastic. The owners, management, and staff are best in class. Often considered the best Irosh Pub in the US, this neighborhood bar is a favorite for locals and tourists lucky enough to find this gem in MidCity. Probably the best price and served Guiness in the city, incredible drink specials, Pub Trivia on Monday nights, and everything to watch from the Saints and LSU Tigers to every league of soccer, rugby, etc. Great little pub restaurant attached where you can get bar food like Fish n Chips, burgers, and even brussel sprouts. Super fast service, a great variety to pick from, and I had a wonderful time watching soccer games on the many screens (there were about 5 different games on). There were so many people of different nationalities and it was great fun hearing spontaneous cheers burst out from different areas of the bar in a completely yet comfortably navigable packed house. I found it an exciting experience and have returned many times because the the place has so much to offer. Outdoor seating, good food, the neighborhood vibe and excellent service every time impress me. Parking is on the street, but it is usually available fairly nearby. What a fun pub!
