Visiting New Orleans and stumbled across this bar. Couldnt be happier... Bartender is cool AF, great music (90s), craft beer, good bar food AND no tourist! If youre a bit homesick this is your bar.

This is an amazing bar. The owner / bartender is hilarious and fun, the bar is huge, there lots of TVs for all of the games, and the food is spot on. My wife and I took all of our out-of-town people here before our wedding for a pub crawl and we ended up staying here for an extra 2 hours because everyone loved it so much

Its New Orleans and everyone around the world knows about Bourbon Street. When you find a gem of a dive bar like the South Market Pub & Grill in a city known for its bars and nightlife, you know its got to be outstanding as a dive bar outside of the French Quarter. Anytime I return to The Big Easy the French Quarter will most likely be on my agenda and so will the South Market Pub and Grill

Great dive bar, great tasting food... everyone in our group was happy. We each ordered a different burger. Black and Bleu burger...so good!

We saw a large rat scurry from the kitchen up the stairs. Told the bartender who replied “did you want me to chase after it?” In which we said is our food safe? He said it’s an old city, what would you like me to do about it? He offered us a shot, we declined, asked for the bill . No food or beverage was comped. I do not recommend eating at this establishment. Multiple witnesses startled by the rat

Great spot. Super friendly staff and great food. They have a nice balcony for smoking on, a courtyard out back and the food at this spot is slapping. Biggest chicken wings ive ever seen!!!

Excellent service every time! Alexis is the bartender you should see. One of my favorite dive bars in NOLA. They have amazingly cheap drink specials and their fried pickles are amazing. This is a good spot for service industry folks to come and relax and chat after work!

This is a dive bar, but with a nice selection of local, tap beers, reasonably priced. I had a pulled pork quesadilla that was very tasty and very filling. It was a great deal!

Awesome place to hang out! We were in town and saw the high reviews on this place and they couldnt have been more right. The staff (Tommy) were great and the drinks were stupendous and super reasonable. I highly recommend this for sports games or just hanging out. You wont regret it. I promise you!

A great local dive bar. Their food is awesome and the beer selection top notch. Very friendly and talkative staff. Bbq is really good. Do not be put off by the exterior. Near the WWII museum and the St Charles streetcar line.

This place is a dive bar. Straight up. Don’t come in thinking you’ll find something else. Drinks are strong and cheap. Bathrooms are dirty. Roaches are aplenty.

Thank God for the new management in mid August. I feel better about eating the food and hanging out here. Menu change makes for better bar food. Friendly neighborhood dive bar with Kevin at the helm serving cheap drinks and Todd cooking some of the tastiest burgers and bar grub. This is one of the best things to happen to this location.

Its a cool place and great music! There new addition on the top floor has pool tables and a nice view! Bartenders are knowledgeable and well chill with you. They put on sports on the TVs!

Truely the best people I have met since I moved back to New Orleans seven years ago. I had some car trouble and three guys that are working there stopped everything to give me some help. After the car delima, my girlfriend and I went in for a round of drinks. The coldest of beer and the best of friends in this awesome place . We will be back this week and I do believe I found the place I want to be.
