We had an awesome time at Bourgeois Fishing!! The food was wonderful and Ms. Gina the Chef, was the best ever! She made every meal special and delicious! Even helped with the celebration of the engagement of our 2 friends at the plantation by baking them a cake!! Capt. Darren was great too! Even though hurricane Sally made it especially challenging, we still brought in some fish! Love love this place and the people!

Great experience from the moment you enter the grounds. The house is full of nostalgia. The entire property is exceptionally well landscaped, large paved deck, large dock, and beautiful view. Captain Cricket knows the spots to catch fish, not to mention a great guy!

Steve was our guide. He was the man. He had the knowledge of all the best spots and was on hand to help with everything. He had the baits and knew where to use the bobbers and where to fish deep. He had a very relaxed personality which helped us enjoy ourselves without stress. If you’re looking for a great trip ask for Steve when you call these guys.

Great charter! Fishing was slow at first, but Dave kept us moving until we found the right spot at the right time.

My son and I had a great weekend at the Cajun Vista lodge. Capt. Theophile and Capt. Kevin were awesome. The food was fantastic and everyone on the staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome on our first trip to Louisiana. This was a wonderful father and son adventure. Thanks to the Cajun Vista staff for the great memories. I highly recommend.

My husband fished and caught fish . He was happy . I got a massage from 2 lovely ladies. It was the greatest massage I ever had. Will go back if just for the massage. My husband had his gang of friends and also we ate some good southern cooking but the massage will bring me back.

What a beautiful experience! The evening at the lodge was pleasant and our suite was beautiful. Awesome seafood dinner by Dawn capped off a great evening making new friends. The breakfast was perfect and then our fishing trip with Capt. Dave was a perfect blast! A limit of beautiful redfish by 9am and beat the heat.Overall a wonderful 2 days of fun and relaxation.Theophile has a really spectacular operation!!!Cant wait to do this again!

Awesome trip. Staff was hospitable, lodging was rustic but comfortable. Common area had games and activities, pool table, etc... Captain Wayne put us in right spot for sure! Our boat caught more fish than we could fit in the cooler. Lots of specks and red! 83 fish kept!!! One of the best fishing trips Ive been on. Definitely recommend!

Captain Theophile Bourgeois was a great charter captain who had a fantastic personaity. He made fishing a joy, even if you werent catching! He wss a pleasure to be with and would help those that owned their own boats. He was not selfish in his knowledge of fishing and boat handling. He will be greatly missed !! Pastor M. Willis

I hesitated to post this but after friends were there at the same time and caught lots of fish, I felt like I should. I saved up and took my dad and son on a single day trip with Bourgeois Charters for my dads birthday. First of all, the lodge and food were great. But the fishing was awful. Admittedly, we had relatively bad luck with the weather. We were there the day after a big storm so the water was pretty muddy. But we only caught a single small catfish and zero redfish. And the catfish was very early in the day. Not even a single bite after that. I realize you can have bad luck, but the way this was handled by Bourgeois was frustrating. First the guides with our friends on a different charter realized the situation early and took them further south and they caught tons of fish. Second, there was very little sympathy after we got back. I realize they cant guarantee a good catch, but I expected something to try to convince us that this wasnt a normal experience there. Overall, I was very disappointed with Bourgeois. If you have a choice, I would recommend going with a different company.

Captains are top notch, beautiful place to stay, and food is out of this world. I send my customers here and they are always blown away with the experience.

A couple of friends and I did a two day trip with Bourgeois Charters and we couldnt have been any happier. Captain Theophile Bourgeois was our pilot and guide on day one. He was very knowledgeable and funny to boot. He showed us many sights on the flight to the Chandeleur Islands and joked around a good bit too. It was like fishing with someone youve known for years. He worked extremely hard to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and even stayed out a bit longer than usual to make sure we caught our limit. On day two we went out with another of the Bourgeois Charter guides, Captain Taylor. He, too, worked exceptionally hard to make sure we had a good time and caught fish. This whole outfit is top-notch from the lodging to the food to the charter captains themselves. Were already trying to get our schedules worked out so we can go back.
