Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! We went as a family and we were blessed to have part tour with Kim and the other half with Andrea! This is an excellent museum of African American art and history that the entire family can experience together and gain so much knowledge.More people need to know about this museum and experience the beauty of the art and of the building itself.I gave my kids a quiz once we left and they had taken so much information away with them...they even had their favorite art pieces that they loved most and facts that they found most interesting. (And the ages ranged between 8-10) homeschoolers rock!Overall experience was GREAT! Prices were reasonable....This museum is not funded by the state, so please go support and learn more of your history, more about Louisiana and bring the kiddos. Thanks Andrea and Kim!We will be back with more family and some friends!!

Beautiful building and quite befitting for a museum. Hardwood floors, high ceilings, bricked exterior, aged interior; all add to the appeal and charm of the McKenna Museum.Artifacts on loan from the McKenna Family are displayed for all to see. Create your own story or read the label beneath the artifact for the details; either way, all the treasure inside make the museum all that and a bag of chips.Additionally, this facility can be rented out for various events ie parties, wedding ceremonies etc.Great place. Quite a hidden treasure.

This place is amazing. They only offer tours by appointment but its worth it. Kim is extremely knowledgeable about the art pieces and friendly. I enjoyed the unique artwork, the use of the space, the overall environment, and both the ladies who work there.
