Rosetree Blown Glass Studio is one of my favorite experiences of Algiers Point...blown glass art is magical to me and my favorite gift to give, but more, an excuse for gifts to give to me

Very interesting gift store / glass blowing factory. The front of the store is sort of like an office, where people work at computers, which may strike you as odd, but theyll lead you toward the back where you can look through a glass to see the artisans blowing. We were told we couldnt enter as it is approximately 120F degrees in there!

Excellent hospitality, education and customer service. The owner Mark was more than willing to talk, suggest and educate about his talents and the New Orleans area. He noticed us at the airport and immediately came over the day hello. There is something to be said about southern hospitality and Mark has it.

Our family stopped at Rosetree to learn a bit about glass blowing. We watched a video, saw the tools and the staff gave us an overview. Then we got to watch the artists at work. The gallery is gorgeous. The staff is extremely kind and went out of their way to be sure we had a great experience. We loved it so much we bought T-shirt’s!

Beautiful stuff! For our wedding 4 years ago, my wife and I got a piece of glass that Mark turned into a GORGEOUS vase for us. He even sent us back with some remainder glass. It was a good thing, because on our two year Anniversary, I used it (and a little more) on a cool bowl that is very special to the both of us. Weve since bought more of Marks glass for both ourselves and as gifts for loved ones. Cant wait to visit you in NOLA!

While on vacation in New Orleans we decided we wanted to check out the local shops and take the ferry. We decided we would check out Rosetree Glass Studio as our excuse to take the ferry (mostly) and to look at their artwork. I LOVED everything there. As soon as we entered we was greeted with a warm welcome. She (Brenda on of the owners) showed us around and explained the process her husband and co-owner Mark uses to make his creations. We decided to order some champagne glasses from them (we just got engaged) for our wedding when we get a little closer and actually pick a year. Brenda gave us a great recommendation on a restaurant to try and it was amazing. Today we went back so I could get a glass pink pumpkin (20% of the sale goes to breast cancer research foundation) while there Mark welcomed us and helped us check out. He also recommended 2 bakery to try in the French quarters (which I cant wait to try). Both Brenda and Mark are really nice and friendly people. If we ever come back down here on vacation we will be stopping by their store again. =)

If you go on the weekend for a glass blowing class, you will be happy. A hot thing to do on a hot day, but we did this as a post wedding activity the next day, and it was something they still talk about. Plus you get to take home a project that you made together with the artists of the studio, how cool is that?
