Awesome museum detailing pieces and facts from every age of the history of the u.s. Coast Guard. The campus was awesome also. The museum is not overly large but it is very impressive and informative. Admission is free but they do have a donation box that you can donate to on the way out which is a great idea. Just keep in mind because its on the campus you have to have a valid drivers license or u.s. ID to enter since its a military base.
Great little museum! Full of USCG history, dating back to the Revolutionary war. The staff Jen and Josh are doing an amazing job!
I loved going here and learning about the CG. The staff were so lovely and willing to give us a guided tour.
Excellent site of history for an organization deserving of such a fine representation. Ms. Jen Gaudio, the curator, is a beacon of light and a champion of the Coast Guard. I was grateful to spend some time with her.
I found the exhibits to be authentic with an abundance of detailed literature of events. It was inclusive and tasteful. I would seriously recommend this museum to anyone interested in a coast guard career as well as those interested in the history of coast guards.
Not well enough known! Excellent, relatively small museum that tells the story of the Coast Guard and the Services (lighthouse and rescue) that grew out of Alexander Hamiltons Revenue Cutters.
Wow! This was an exciting and complete history of the USCG. We spent a long time here reading up on the coast guard.
