There are two gyms and 8 pokestops. There are ducks that like to be fed. There are plenty of trees and picnic benches. I have not seen any bees.YET. LOTS of kids play areas! Beautiful park!

Such a great time to spend outside with family! Park was clean and well maintained. Currently places are blocked off to stop congregating during virus, but still has plenty of places to sit. Great place for a picnic or to watch the ducks.

I wish whoever is in charge would actually spend the money to fix the tennis courts.The lights never work.Tennis courts should be pristine.

Bring some frozen peas for the ducks! They love frozen peas! But I sure wish they hadn’t torn down the basketball hoops. Just because kids from Port Arthur cane to play? Seems racist to me.

This is a great community park! Bring some bread and feed the ducks. Or have a swing on the lovely swing set. There is a fun playground complete with an amazing merry-go-round

Great park. Very kid friendly. It has a playground, a couple of tennis courts, a picnic area. Theres a pool there but I dont know what the requirements are to go in (never tried) the only reason Im giving them a 4 stars is because it has a lot of ant hills and when it rains a lot of places get flooded. But other than that, great!

What, are you kidding me? It was 94 hot and miserable. We just sat in the car, in the shade,with A.C goin, and ate pizza.

Always love coming here. Very well maintained. Love seeing the ducks and turtles. There are playgrounds, a tennis court, a pont and a pavillion. You can do just about anything here.

Great park for all ages

This is one of the most tranquil Parks I have found everyone can go there and find something to do it is always a pleasure to go there Im bringing my dog there often and walk I love to watch the children in the family is having a great time it is peaceful late in the evening as the sun goes down there is a ducks that are very people playing late and they run up to you if you come with a bag cuz they know theyre going to get fed also there is fishing in for all ages . Approximately 10 days ago they put rainbow trout in. I found out also that when it rains that is supposed to be the best time to catch bass. I seen some big bass being caught out of there by a man and his son. Children seem to love the playground hey yall so have a baseball field cuz I have seen people playing soccer and basketball I have never had a problem since I have been going out there which has been probably for the past 10 years I love this park and hope to see more people come & enjoy all of the activites. i want it to see this park flourish because this is a true family place

I came here looking for a place to run. The track is narrow and only 1/2 mile. However it is a good place to bring children.

Go every morning love it and the ground keeps do a great job and office staff as well

Not as pretty as Houston or the Woodlands, but family friendly with pond, ducks, doggy trail, walk way, baseball fields and happy people.

My kids and I love feeding the docks and walking the park. Glad to see that the trash was picked up from the last time cause it was bad then.

Fairly clean, large, great walking track, small playground for kids. Also offers a tennis court, field for sports, a small community pool, and a community center. A few shady areas and covered seating areas offer retreat from the sun. Great for kids. Fairly busy most days.

Is great place for family time i go often and still love it

We love this place! It is very close to our house and our dogs love to go and meet new people and run the little walking trail with us. It can get really muddy at times, but still less muddy than many of the parks Ive seen out here.

We love this park. Love the duck ponds. The pool is outrageously overpriced in my opinion.

Very nice area. At recreation center for basketball tournament. Outside area with pond, fountain, and shaded seats/benches were very nice except for duck feces on concrete slab under awning. Recommend regular power washing. Swimming pool with fountains looked well attended and inviting.

Always fun and perfect for children of all ages. The park is always clean and the grass is always cut!

This place was an amazing experience for the kids and any family there was so much to do and alot of room to enjoy any kind of outdoor sports if you wanted to we had a picnic so odd advise anybody who has kids or lost family activities to please come and try out the experience yourself it was well worth every second

Beautiful place ...great for kids

Park is huge with a nice long track to run on. Playground is great for smaller children. There are ponds around with ducks and gazebos throughout the park. Park has tennis courts and backstops for baseball. Lots of trees and open places. Nice place to bring a blanket and a book or to walk around.

The only thing I didnt like, was that the people who go to this place, dont bother throwing their garbage away. Even if the garbage can is 5 feet from them. We saw this party there just last night, and they left trash there.

The lifeguards were awesome, friendly and sooo helpful! My friend rented the pool for his sons 8th Birthday party. Michael had a great time with new friends, cake, toys and swimming! The Pool and entire area was super clean and welcoming. Id recommend renting this pool to anyone. Safe swimming!!!

We like it because the kids can play while the parents and babies walk. People are really great with their pets and picking up after them and keeping them on leashes and the park is clean. All the children love having the ducks there. Its also known in our parts as the Duck Park. :)

Great park if you need to kill time while waiting for a flight. We missed our flight and had 6 hours to kill with an infant and 2 year old. My two year old loved the park and all the ducks. The equipment was in great condition. I didnt see any questionable or broken pieces.

Great atmosphere and lovely ducks and pond and lots of cool breeze AND SHADE,TENNIS COURTS and BASKETBALL COURTS . The CHILDRENS PLAYGROUND IS AWESOME and FUN for THE KIDDOS. But MAINLY THE BEAUTIFUL RELAXING CALM ATMOSPHERE and CLEAN PICNIC TABLES. And GARBAGE CANS for TRASH. Just SOO NICE and CALM RELAXING AREA. Great RESPECT FOR DOORNBOS PARK. Mr. DOORNBOS WOULD BE SO PROUD OF THE UPKEEP.

Always relaxing. Almost always friendly people. I go here to get rid of stress, feed the ducks, watch children play, exercise on the path that circles the park. Such a nice place, I some times go there just to help keep it clean.

My favorite place to go. Nice place to go wit the family and its a nice place to go and just relax your mind if you solo. Just soothing and relaxing to watch the ducks and turtles, swings, jungle gym, merry go round, the tennis court, the lil picnic areas and you can do plenty of running or walking whichever is your preference. Like I said I LOVE THIS PLACE.

I am new to the area, and this is by far one of my favorite parks. They have a track that is a half mile around, ducks to feed in the pond and fishing and a full playground. It’s also located right next to the Nederland pool so you can really make a full day out of going if you want to.

Had a Halloween event there. Good place to hang out.

Pretty park. The ducks and the little pond is nice. We would go walking here in the mornings. If it rained though not a good choice for exercise. Lots of low laying areas with standing water. Still it was nice. The tennis courts are a little run down, but still able to play on them. These things can be over looked. The maintenance staff is pretty aware of the people using the walking path and equipment. They do a good job with maintaining the grounds. This park would have totally received fives stars if the restrooms were kept in better order. Several times the restroom were either not opened at the advertised times or they were dirty and had no toilet paper. I do understand that they are park restrooms but many times there would be used toilet paper( when there was some) on the floor. Other than that it is a nice park.

This is a beautiful park with lots of room. They have playground equipment, pond with ducks and turtles, and the tennis courts and soccer area are open to anyone. They also have a baseball field, but it has been locked up. Plenty of picnic tables for lunch or a birthday party. Dogs on leashes are welcome. They recently fixed up the walkway. Great area for exercise and family fun.

Doornbos Park Swimming Pool: PATHETIC.I paid 4 dollars for myself and 4 dollars for my son (both of us Nederland residents) to gain admission to the pool.We were there for TEN minutes and I realized that I had left my sunglasses in my car (parked in the lot RIGHT DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE ENTRANCE) and could hardly keep my eyes open because of how bright it was.I needed to just go to my car to get my sunglasses out and was informed that I would have to pay 3 dollars a piece for re-admission. KEEP IN MIND THE GIRL COULD SEE MY CAR FROM WHERE SHE WAS SITTING.That is DEPLORABLE.Maybe all the money you scam out of residents could be better put to fixing your pool and equipment. Your slide hasnt been in service ALL SUMMER LONG.I will NEVER go back to this place. I advise you all to swim elsewhere.

Clean & relaxing great for young & old

Perfect place for a picnic or just a family outing. Fully stocked playground for the kids as well as Tennis courts and a Soccor field for the athletes. The view is beautiful, a pond with cute ducks are all around. I go every weekend for a light mile run.
