Beautiful. I realized people go to look at art expecting art at every corner. This is not how art is appreciated. The art is displayed beautifully and tastefully as it should be. I would recommend those who value art to visit. Im appalled by the negative reviews. Unless you experienced rude behavior at your visit, your review speaks of your level of knowledge of art. My family and I love seeing new exhibits. My 9 year old aspires to create such beautiful works of art, thats rather telling, given the harsh reviews.
Awful quality of exhibitions. Bad collection. Terrible director.
If I were to think retrospectively, liken to the days of my youth, art was an explicative measure to express what I was learning.Nurturing those stages prove to be truly an honor. Those who curate, manage, and direct measures at this gallery do just that: nurture. From ceramics of Susan DeMay and Los artefactos de Mesoamerica antigua (dating 500 CE), to the photos of Kinichi Fukumoto, the nurturing of those art stages have been carefully depicted.Furtherance of this are in the exhibits most recent. They showcase archival events of 1969 NASA Launch, thematic elements of Salvador Dali, geometric foundations of Jeanne Miles, artforms by Pablo Picasso, fragile textile of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and sacred drawings of India.I am thankful for what I witnessed.Go and see.Honor be to the Vanderbilt Fine Arts Gallery.
Maybe I was their at the wrong time, but damn was this place lacking
Beautiful architecture, selective and thoughtful exhibitions. One of the hidden gems in Nashville.
The shows are always thought provoking and beautifully displayed.
