My family and I have been coming to MB for years in the summer and religiously go to the same places. However we wanted to take a walk down to the board walk and saw this place. We walked in, immediately greeted and were able to go out on the balcony and get seated. I ordered a watermelon margarita which was fantastic and also ordered a round of shots for the table. Our food was delicious and the waiter was great at recommending food items and drinks. He was great at keeping the conversation and making us feel like we’ve been there numerous times. As we were finishing up and waiting on the check, another server took over as our original waiter just got a large party. My family appreciated the quick turn around on servers and had a great time all around. Definitely coming back!

We went here as a late night trip for some drinks. We ordered a long Island, cranberry vodka, blue moon, 8th Ave bucket. For food we ordered mozzarella sticks and Mac and cheese bites.Long Island was almost pure tequila, cranberry vodka was almost pure cranberry, the blue moon was great (draft), poured with perfection. The 8th ave bucket was AMAZING. The mac and cheese bites tasted like old cheese in burnt breading, and there were only 2 in an order. The mozzarella sticks were okay, their outside area was fight off the beach and so nice...after having a party of 6 and only 2 people and enjoying the drinks, we left. When we were getting ready I saw a palmetto bug crawling up the wall behind us, into a crack to enter the building. 1 I know can be common here. Then I almost stepped on another as it was entering the building....then a group of 5 entered as well...through a different entry point. We almost puked realizing we had just consumed everything from an infested restaurant. The staff were kind of short as well. This place has great potential...its just not there right now.

I don’t usually leave reviews and if I do it’s because it was a positive experience, however my experience at 8th Ave Tiki Bar had to have been the absolute worst service in my entire life! I will admit the food was fantastic and the cooks deserve a praise, but the bartenders and servers have an attitude that they don’t even care and I can see why when 18% gratuity is automatically added even for just a party of 2. The worst part about it had to have been after we had a knife and fork literally thrown at us, the owner was sitting right there and had nothing to say! This was my first and last time ever going to this establishment.

This Bar and Grill is a must go to!! Really it is! The food alone is amazing!! I had the Bar B Q pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious! Jake our Server( with the khaki pants lol) was absolutely amazing. He was well aware of the food menu and whats good to eat. He also knew which drinks were the best! Jake was also very engaging with us. He was funny and constantly made sure we were alright. Even the other servers were nice!! Bartenders are AMAZING. Very welcoming environment. Even during COVID-19 this place was sanitized. Every party was socially distanced and nobody felt uncomfortable.

Love that’s it right on the boardwalk at the beach, super convenient location with indoor/outdoor seating! The staff was very attentive and kind. The pricing was a bit much for what it is but I get that’s it’s a tourist location so that’s why it didn’t effect my 5-stars. Their drinks you can get in a fake take home pineapple are STRONG so just be ready for that but they are good(pic included)! Also if I can recommend something, it would be their spicy crab dip!! It’s so yummy and so fulfilling! Their atmosphere and decor is eclectic and very beach themed that just makes you comfortable! We always visit once or twice when we vacation in the area! Highly recommend!

Went during happy hour over the weekend. We ate outside and it was pleasant. The drinks were average and the food was just ok. I ordered a burger and it was dry and very basic. Cheese wasnt even melted. But, the service was good and the location was great.

Great local spot with really delicious food and nice draft/drink list. Also they keep a kosher kitchen here and everything is fresh.Hands down a win win

Staff were very nice and eager to serve. Great view and atmosphere on the deck. The American Burger and the sautéed mussels were great. Wish the staff were required to wear masks like most restaurants though, which made us uneasy. Prices were high but it’s a tourist spot, I guess.

Just a great casual beachy place to hang out for lunch or early dinner. The out door tables have a great ocean view. The food is much high quality than expected, great selection of beer and delicious drinks. Definitely try the coconut shrimp appetizer. The staff is always friendly and polite!

If you want to enjoy good music, good views, with good food and drink, this is your place. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to 8th Avenue Tiki Bar and Grill but I had to give it 4 stars because the service all-around was not the greatest while my server Madison was perfect! I didnt realize happy hour was from 4 to 7 and I happened to arrive during happy hour. Due to covid-19, happy hour was not busy at all. I got the best seat in the house! Some folks walking by on the boardwalk, yes this place is right off the boardwalk, they suggested I try the Jeffrey. I looked at the warning on the menu and decided I definitely did not want the Jeffrey! The chicken fajita spring rolls were delicious just a little spicy. But the cool beer definitely complemented it well. The ambience is what made it all wonderful. At first they were playing Beach reggae music for a little while to get you in the groove and then were playing top 40 music, it was a nice mix. My umbrella offered plenty of shade, the wall decor offered plenty of amusement. Theres a lovely bar inside but who would want to sit in there when you could sit outside and see this View?

The food is absolutely awesome! I had fish and chips. The fish was the best I had ever had, and I would love to have the recipe for the tarter sauce.Our waiter, Jacob was super nice, and very informative and attentive. Couldnt have asked for better service or food. We usually come here yearly, this is the first time weve eaten here, and we will definitely come back.

This place was amazing. Loved the atmosphere! Tyler was put server and he was great! Food was amazing. So good I actually ate the left overs the next day. Will totally go here again if I visit myrtle.

Great food! I had the jumbo coconut shrimp, thought it was a bit pricey for just 6 of them but they were so good and added the sweet potato fries as a side as well and they were great. Had great drinks from the bar. Just ended standing for a good couple minutes at the door because we didnt know we could seat ourselves.

We ate there for dinner during our Myrtle Beach trip. I love the design of the restraunt, and the staff were wonderful. Its right on beachfront/boardwalk and is within walking distance of several hotels. It has an inside and outside dinning area as well as a bar. It has good menu choices and a unique drink option. They have a souvenir pineapple cup drink. It was delicious. Slightly on the expensive side, but still a good value.

My group and I had a great time and were taken care of by Emily at the bar. Emilys margaritas were on point and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend their happy hour!

The atmosphere makes this place. The food was great too. I think our waiter may of been stretched a little then and we had to find him when we were ready to go but thats the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

Food was ok. Service could be better esp since they add 18% grad to your check on a party of 2. $17 for a burger with Ffs is a bit much too since its nothing special just a regular old everyday burger.1st time here doubtful well be back & yes were locals.

Nice atmosphere. Was pretty upset when I ordered a single beer and payed cash only to find out that they added an 18% gratuity to my bill without mention or warning. Was planning on giving more. Not cool.... for this reason and only this reason I will not return or suggest this place.

The food, drinks and service was terrific. The frozen drink selection is really good and our server was super helpful. The brisket and maihi tacos were to die for. The service was perfectly timed. This is more of a bar feel than a restaurant, but an excellent place to try when your here. Great ocean view from patio. Happy eating!

Loved meeting the awesome bar tender there i believe her name is Kristen (forgive if misspelled) you were amazing, sad that our time was cut so short because of punks. But clean&friendly! Def recommend photos were of us on the way back home safely thanks to a few good citizens

Food is decent but too expensive for what it was. I ordered the Island burger and it had one tiny slice of grilled pineapple and one slice of onion. This burger cost me $16 and It was so uninspired Ive had cheaper burgers with more toppings and flavour elsewhere. The service was good. And the atmosphere has a fun beachy vibe. In terms of food and the price skip this place there are better options on the boardwalk.

Overall less than impressed. Not just because the service was subpar or the food wasn’t great, but rather because the inconsistency was the only thing consistent. Not to mention, an 18% gratuity is added regardless of if they served you well or not.One day the drinks were great, food too. Came back the next and ordered the same drinks and they were completely off and different. The food is not something to rave over either - fake cheese on the nachos and dry wings. The calamari was the only tasty food during our visit. I’d suggest going to a different restaurant.

It was a cute place. Scaled down menu do to the pandemic. The food was good and service was friendly and helpful.

My cousin found a quarter in her drink. No idea how this could even happen. At least it was a free drink and now we have a good story to tell. I asked for the quarter after the waitress took back the drink. I didnt get the quarter.

Only thing for a diabetic to drink is diet Pepsi. They dont have unsweet tea and the rest is all alcohol. Very disappointed and will not return which is sad because we were planning on eating here again until this happened. I am also not a diet Pepsi fan and thats all they had besides water.

Came here on vacation and tried this place out. The drinks were decent, but for a bar, the food was amazing. The spring rolls were homemade and by far the best spring rolls I’ve ever had. The coconut island shrimp were delicious too! Check this place out. And it’s right on the beach!

Nice place with a bar feeling and live music. Our server took great care of us and made sure we were taken care of. The sweet and spicy wings were a great flavor.

Overpriced tourist trap. Slow service (and there were only 5 patrons in there beside us). They tack on $8 bucks if you want a small plastic pineapple cup. Regular beer was decently priced.

While walking the boardwalk in Myrtle Beach my wife and I stopped at the 8th Ave Tiki Bar and Grill for lunch. We tried the Chicken Schnitzel, sweet potato fries and the Israeli Salad. Everything was so good. We were even treated to a cupcake from a patrons birthday party. The food and service were great.

Drinks and food were priced acceptable atmosphere was perfect. The only problem 2 different tabs first on 2 pina colada’s $10 each Bill was $26.90. Figure that out supposedly tax is 18% so the bill should have been $23.60 upon further math solving they add a 15% charge on top which made it $26.90. The next tab was $43.65 for 2 drinks @ $10.00 and an order of oysters at $14.00 for a total of $34.00 you do the math this time. Oh and the bill is not itemized go figure. Our first time and last !! Oh and may I say We Are Local !!

Best service and happy environment. They had Supernatural showing on the tv and while the burger was $16, it was the best Ive ever had.

The food and drinks are very good, the view of the sea is really spectacular. The service is excellent the waitress was very friendly the atmosphere in general is very good, I will definitely visit again because I really loved everything.

Loved this place! We stopped in on a whim for a few drinks and dinner during happy hour. We had our pup with us and the bartender brought out water and a few treats for our little guy with our drinks. She was super friendly and on her game despite how slow it was! The food was super delicious too! Definitely made our quick 1 night getaway that much better, thanks for the great service Emily!

The owner does not care about its customers. Me and my boyfriend decided to go have lunch here, we ordered a 8 slice pizza, wings, and fries. I had only eaten two wings & some of my fries. While sitting a ROACH comes crawling next to me while eating. and all they could say was “the guy just got done spraying, they’re going crazy”. And the manager could only give me a discount. Never again while visiting Myrtle Beach will I eat here!!!!

Service everything was great food seems to be good but all of a sudden we had German cockroaches running around the bar in front of us on our food. Worst part about the whole ordeal is when we brought it to the bartenders attention she didnt seem phased like it happens all the time

Great atmosphere. Ducked in here during some rain and ended up sitting on the patio drinking all evening. Good happy hour prices from 4-7 with a great view outside. Great drinks, decent nachos but thought the sangria was horrible. Great service! No free parking but plenty of paid lots close by.

Went here October 21 got there at 9:30 was told I couldn’t get a mixed drink because they had sent the blender back to be washed the place doesn’t close till 11 kinda odd for a place known for their mixed drinks to stop making them an hour and a half before closing

Excellent calamari & sweet potato fries, as well as the bloody Mary I ordered. One suggestion - more comfy seats for chubby folks.

Best bar/eatery in south Myrtle beach with great happy hour and even good prices on tees in the gift shop. Bartenders are awesome and on point, from what we snacked on the food is pretty good too. The decor makes you feel like your on island time, we visit here every time were nearby.

The food was pretty good and the portions were huge. I had the pizza which wasnt the best. Others in my party had a hamburger and Philly sandwich which were delicious. Their service was wonderful and the wait staff was very friendly. We ate outside overlooking the ocean and it was wonderful.

Drinks are cheap and strong, buy one of their pineapple cups and get your refill at a discount. The only thing better than their food is their outdoor seating views. We got fish tacos and a BBQ sandwich, and they were spot on! I will definitely be back when Im in town.

Great service from Liz! The spicy fries were really good and not AS spicy as one would think. A perfect spot to just take a minute and enjoy the great ocean veiw they have to offer.

Took forever for a server to come by and greet us and when they did, she seemed like we were a burden. Asked for a drink menu and it took another 15 minutes to get that. Our food was okay but the service was horrible!! Then when we got our bill, the server did not split the checks like we asked and then they charged us an 18% gratuity and their menu stated that is only charged for parties of 6 or more. Asked for the manager and she said there was four points at which we shouldve seen and heard about the gratuity. The server never told us and the VERY fine print on the menu stated a party with 6 or more. We will never go back there again.
