First of all... round two this Sunday... my kids are counting the sleeps until then and we will be ready... Im going to make sure my daughter has a wetsuit in case it drops below 80. Now to the review! This place is totally freaking awesome. I have to talk about the staff because I was so impressed by all of the men/women that would normally be security guards who are also lifeguard trained that worked the slides to ensure our safety and fun. The first time we went this summer after our wonderful Governor tried to shut it down. The staffs commitment two our fun really inspired me to think about how great people really can be during this pandemic. Unlike #cedarpoint there were plenty of slides/attractions open and even 2 wave pools. They didnt need to tape every 6 feet. Everyone just respected each others space and no one was on top of each other. Yes we all took off our masks when we were playing in the water areas but people new to put them back on when it came time to get a drink or order something at Food stands. I definitely dont want to make my post super political but I will say that most of the paid admissions to a #Wildwaters have enough common sense that were all just trying to have a good time so why ruin it? So why would one person #whitmore threaten to close such an awesome treasure like Michigan Adventure Wildwaters?

They definitely could have been more clear about the amusement park rides being closed on their website. Unless you read the last sentence on the orange banner on the top of their website, youre out of luck. My best friend and I wanted to have a nice relaxing day and pretend everything was normal, but when we got inside we realized all the rides were closed, and she didnt bring a swimsuit. I tried to get my money back or reschedule for a different day but the general manager said, Once you use your ticket to get inside the park, we cant do anything. He was also extremely rude and persistent about the fact that this orange banner is on every single page at the top. However, when you click on the banner, the long paragraph (What You Should Know Before Entering The Park) does not mention the rides are closed at all. I just spent $75 that I wont be getting back. Thanks a lot guys! Very disappointed with their customer service. Please make it more clear that the rides are closed. Youre tricking people out of their hard earned money.

Went late August. Only waterpark open but we knew that going in. Gets crowded in the wave pool in the afternoon on a Saturday but still enjoyable. Place is spotless and the lifeguards are there to watch and save. Food is pricey but expected at an amusement park. Had an absolute blast. Park is very well ran, people at check in and security are very pleasant and friendly. Huge parking lot and very efficient in and out. Great time.

Water park is pretty good. The funnel is the best. The coasters are good for a small park, but they are a pretty tight for anyone taller or bigger. If it werent for my kids I wouldnt be interested in most of the coasters. Nice clean park, staff are nice, younger kids rides were interesting enough for them. Overall most people should be able to have a fun day.

Lots of fun as usual! Some of the rollercoasters I remember when I was young and there are new ones as well! Lines were not bad although we did go on a Sunday. The water park was awesome, there were a lot of slides and rides in both parks. You are allowed to go to your car and eat and the prices of the food is a little expensive so bring your own lunch is a good idea. The staff was very friendly and was understanding when my 2 year old and his friend wanted to ride the carousel multiple times.

Ive been going to Michigans Adventure ever since it was Deer Park Funland (ok, so Im old). There is something that makes me exceedingly happy to see my kids ride the same cars, motorcycles and boats that I rode as a kid. Since that time the various improvements they have made to the park have been greatOverall the rides are in good condition and there is a good variety of kid and adult entertainment. Also the water park is a lot of fun but can get EXTREMELY crowded on a hot day. it would be nice if they invested in some new roller coasters or something. A few pieces of advice: First, take your own food and eat in the parking lot. One would assume eating in the park will save you time, it doesnt. Ive routinely waited 30+ minutes for a single basket of chicken strips while also selling a kidney to afford it. Save the time and hassle and eat a picnic in your car. Secondly, consider skipping the water park on hit days - when the water park is full the rest of the rides are less busy. Finally, use the water park on cooler days, the lines are shorter and you can get more rides in. Overall Ive always enjoyed my visits and look forward to next year. This is a great place, especially for those with younger kids (pre teen and younger)

Decent amusement park with water park. Prices are quite high compared to other Cedar Fair parks, which are all larger and better maintained. I have been coming year annually for 15+ years, and every year it is going down hill more and more. Still overall a fun place to spend a day. Lines are usually not too bad, especially during the water park hours. All the bigger rides could use a good update however.

Fun place for a family of 5. Better water park then rollar coaster park. They have a few thrilling rollar coasters but most of them are just glorified fair rides. The lines are long and the fast pass is $55 a person! Even for a seven year old. They stop allowing people in line at 8:30pm for the rides which sucked because no one told us that when we were buying our passes. The girls where heart broken because they just wanted to ride Thunder Hawk again as their final ride. That was slightly annoying to pay all the additional money for a family of 5, only to rudely be denied access. Get there early before opening or after 2pm to avoid the max crowds.

WildWater Adventure was open only, due to COVID-19, therefore the park was kept at a much lower occupancy capacity and made parking and getting through lines much quicker. Thankfully, the masks could come off once participating in the water things, and most slides and pools were open. There were sanitizer pumps everywhere, and everyone had to complete a health screening before going so you know that you were not going to come into contact with the virus. Open 11-6 on weekends.

The other nice part is the park doesnt get too crazy busy and you can walk from one end to the other in a short time. Here are some tips:- Arrive before the park opens to get a nice close spot to the entrance. Not to mention get on the big ride of your choice first.- Pack snacks in your car. My family had a nice time at Michigans Adventure overall. But there were some hiccups. The good- the park is clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, we had only 1 issue using our drink first bands (the concession was open, but the drink machine was not working). The not great- Our biggest issue was that many popular attractions were down for great lengths of time throughout the day. We did get to enjoy many attractions, but were told multiple times at different rides that they were down, with no idea of when it might reopen. Just before closing time, Shivering Timbers opened for the first time all day. So that was kind of frustrating. The water park is nice, lots to do and lots of seating available.

Only the water park is open now (August 2020). The park is limiting the number of guests--significantly. We had to purchase tickets in advance. When we arrived, we had to go thru a big-top tent for pre-screener questions and had our temps checked. Then we proceeded to walk across a ghostly amusement park with our masks donned. The entire time we were there, we easily managed to physically distance ourselves from other guests. By far this amusement park is doing an outstanding job on ensuring everyones safety--above and beyond the CDC guidance. The State Parks could learn a lot from you because they have zero protocols in place. Thank you, Cedar Fair Entertainment! We had a safe and fun time!

Any serious thrill seeker would easily make the drive to either Cedar Point (+) or Six Flags Great America (-).Yes prices on food and drink are high, but both food and drink packages are actually cheaper here than at any of the other Cedar Fair park around the country. To sum it up: If youre looking for an easy getaway that guarantees small and moderate thrills both wet and dry, youve found it.

I have been visiting Michigans Adventure since I was a child. It used to be quite more exciting as a child but as Ive gotten older and have gone to other amusement parks it really is lacking in the ride section of the park. The park has a lot of land to expand on yet they just seem to be maintaining what is there without adding new attractions. The park does have a few things going for it though. It is targeted towards families. There is quite a few rides for family and children, and the water park is definitely the main attraction of Mi Adventure. The water park is very nice and a large array of slides and water features.(I would say it is better than cedar points water park which is the next closest cedar fair park to me) I do hope that Cedar Fairs decides to expands on the land in the future and really hope that they put in another large roller coaster to boost attendance and hype for the park. It does still have a couple decent coasters; Shivering Timbers which is still known worldwide as one the great wooden coasters and Thunderhawk a inverted coaster which was moved to the park in 2008 from Geauga Lake. Overall I would rate it 4 stars as a nice small clean family park in which you can do everything easily in less than a full day at the park. They also added a small petting zoo recently which my daughter really enjoyed.

What a time we had here. There is so much to do at this park, you really do need to spend more than just a day here.As for rides, there is quite a selection for every age range, and every type of person. From the kiddie rides and coasters (there are three coasters geared for the young ones) to great big water rides and coasters, this park has a great variety. There are four large coasters, and around 20-25 fairground rides to enjoy. The water park section has a ton to offer as well, with a wave pool, a kiddie adventure pool, and the slides. There are around 20 water slides, ranging in size and thrill. There is so much to offer in the water park section, you could spend a whole day just for that.In addition to the many rides and attractions, the park has a really cohesive layout. Each large ride is dotted with a few smaller rides around it, which is really nice in between lines and whatnot. In addition, each area of the park has a snack/ drink area. Though I do suggest you bring your own water/ snacks. Food and drink prices here are outrageous. This is the sole reason I gave the park only four stars. My wish is for food and beverage pricing to be more reasonable. As for the food and drink, we opted to purchase an unlimited beverage cup. It cost 13.99 and came with unlimited refills. It was nice to have, and the attendants would allow us to have small plastic cups; we used them to share our soda with the kids. Something to note is that this park only offers Coke products, so beware Pepsi fans. We ate at the little diner, and it was $50 for four burgers and fries. The food came up fast, and was hot and fresh. At the front of the diner is a small condiment bar, where you could put your own toppings on. I found that to be a huge plus. The burgers were a very cheap frozen patty, but they tasted alright. All in all, we spent just under $300 for a day of fun at the park, and I believe it was money well spent. Thanks Michigans Adventure for a great time at your park!

Michigans Adventure is one of the best places to find thrills in Michigan. I find it best to go to the water park earlier, then finish the day with the amusement park. Lines are not long, (if any) on week days, but will of course be longer on weekdays. The park has a few good coasters, notably Shivering Timbers and Thunderhawk. The water park is probably the better of the two parks and has many tube and body slides. Some of the waterslides had very slippery steps as I saw a young child slip and fall in front of me. The safety should be reevaluated. The food and drink options at the park seemed to be lacking. The chicken tenders at my last visit were undercooked and the fries where soaked in grease. My girlfriend became sick after suspected food poisoning. I would like to see healthier choices and freestyle drink machines, much like at Cedar Point. Packing a lunch and eating at your car is a good plan, especially since you will probably need to get a change of clothes for the waterpark.
