This is our default place to go for a walk when the weather is bad but we need to get fresh air. Its always plowed, well-lit in the evenings (or late afternoons in winter when it is dark by 4pm), clean and nicely maintained, and not too crowded. Wish the restrooms were open all winter though!

This is the soccer/baseball park complex on the southern part of town next to the Fort.Joggers, interested in finding new? This park is a great spot.There are several kids play areas. By softball area and by soccer area.Walking trail. Wheel chair freindly.There is the Veterans cemetery. I took my kids there. They were amazed by how old the graves were. I was able to teach them a lot of things too. Respect, care, appreciation, why Veteran cemeteries exist, more.....The flag was worn out when we went. They have someone assigned, but to those who can help make the change, look at the flag there a couple times of the year make sure its in good condition. Please.

The renovated Fort Missoula soccer fields and park areas are a huge improvement. This area is no longer a destination just for the sports. With the huge pavilion you can host any size group. If youre looking for a small pavilion there is one there as well. The bathrooms are well maintaned and clean. There are three separate playground areas. Each one is different. Hats off to the All Abilities park area. There just isnt enough of the all abilities parks in town. The Fort Missoula/ Big Sky Park is an awesome destination for an afternoon outting. Did I mention its also one of the best places in town to hear the songs of the Western Meadow Lark.
