We just discovered this this playground. It is great! A ninja area, swings for little or kids who need extra support and a calmer area for climbing. Bonus is the flight path is almost overhead so you can see planes.

This place went from a rolling hilled outfield with constant outfield collisions and broken ankles into one of the coolest and nicest places to whack softballs in the city. Mpls did a phenomenal job restoring this baby.️

Its a pretty good field but there isnt much field. For somebody playing baseball its great because theres 6 fields. There is also a basketball court and a cool playground. The pool that is there though, below average.

This field is right up against airport property and you can hear the air traffic in the background but its never intrusive. Its really a secluded yet open area right by the MSP Airport thats delightful many people running their dogs and it just has a great space that seems tranquil and relaxing amidst the chaos of the city. HIghly recommend!

Well done upgrade. Field 1 is the baseball field in the SW corner. Fields 2-5 are the pin wheel of fields on the north side. Fields 6 and 7 and on the SE side.

Great Park with really nice baseball fields, a small park for the kitties, and a nice picnic area with grills. This park is more sunny than shady, but shade can be found in the picnic area.

Played softball there, was pretty dope, nobody died, so it was a good day

What a wonderful place to experience. Although the bathroom facilities were not handicapped, they were also filthy dirty. So if you go make sure you go to the bathroom before you leave home. But the display was fabulous

Awesome park with a creative obstacle course

Pass by there all the time going to and from the Va. Its huge, clean, and they have a nice playground.

Pretty new fields as far as Minneapolis softball parks go. Well maintained and good layout. Plenty of parking on both the North and South side parking lots, plus street parking around too. I mostly play softball here but there is also a kids park and a basketball court.

At least 6 baseball fields. A modern playground with lots of rope based jungle gyms, climbing wall, swings, and adult workout machines. Portable potties. Drinking fountains. Basketball court. Large field for soccer. Wading pool for toddlers.

It was great with clear blue skies and Sunshine melting snow.

Great play area for older kids

Love this park it is very nice and the pool is finally working this year yay my kids are Soo happy about that. Just wish they had park patrol because in the 2+ years I have been coming here there is a steady hi number of children that are way too young to be unsupervised that come here. Not long ago there was a boy no older than 6 years old watching 4 younger children than him the youngest was just a baby maybe 2 yrs old. So please more patrol to keep these young children safe that are attending the park without an adult.

Great new pinwheel and 6 total softball fields, 4 with lights. Unfortunately, charging $100/hr when neighboring cities charge a third of that, means that the fields sit empty except for city league. Even nationally, $100 is way off the charts.

Great public park!Theres a wonderful playground for kids. Nice walking paths wide enough for a double stroller. Several fields open for a variety of activities and a new basketball court.There are six softball fields but are generally reserved for leagues and tournaments. There is free parking on the north and south side of the park.

This place USED to have awful baseball fields, but Minneapolis really upped their game with the park. Facilities are really nice now. Also, while we didnt use the playground, it seemed like the kids that were, were having fun. Im glad the city is doing these updates, especially given the same state this particular park was in.

The soccer field Needs to be trimmed down and goal nets put in so the kids can practice there soccer skills and the baseball fields need help as well so the kids can practice there baseball skills. But nice area

Fields were in great shape for the tournament that we participated in and the staff as well as the umpiring crew or absolutely spectacular

Its a big park and quiet, with many places to do differents activities

Recently renovated park. Has better ball fields and dedicated soccer pitch. New playground is fun for kids and the area with trees is nice for lounging. Summer offers semi pro baseball games on Sundays and I am looking forward to softball coming back in 2018. I think the park needed the update and it had been a success.

In the winter they dont bother to plow the paths in the parks interior, just the outer perimeter sidewalks.

Great place for kids to practice for ninja warrior. Theres a play park simulating a Ninja warrior course. Awesomeness.

Edit: theyve completely revamped this park, which now has a state of the art playground with endless climbing structures, paved walkways throughout the park (great for biking), and better lighting. The downside for me would be a lack of seating and shade around the playground. It can be brutal on a hot day as its in the middle of an open field. There are small trees planted though so its a years long waiting game for more shade.

The remodeling makes the park more inviting.

They redesigned the whole park, much easier to have multiple sports going on at once. Great playground for the younger ones, and a few spots available for barbequing

The new fields are 100% better then the old ones fields are level and look great play well too

They are doing a massive reworking of this park. My son and I walk here often and we are very excited for it to be ready. The equipment looks top of the line. They have two play areas for different age children and even a work out area for adults.

Great park for sports! Ive played in a kickball league and softball league there for the past 4 years. They keep up the fields well, and it is nice and easy to get to from the highway!

I also think its pretty cute. But a softball field with no fences is more frustrating than watching Mike Tyson in a spelling bee.

Why do the ball fields get lights and the basket ball court doesnt get any?The ball fields primarily serve a limited segment of the population and for only a short part of the year. What about ice rink and soccer fields and less chain link?Because there were baseball fields in the past is not a good enough reason to put them in as part of the renovation, especially with the changing demographic of the neighborhood and city.

Nice fields, RIGHT under the MSP airport terminal route! Also there is a playground and a shallow pool close by for kids to wade in. Bathrooms were a bit dirty, but you almost come to expect that.
