The place was great. Nice pool, it is not a parking lot campground. You had a nice space between the campers. Very nice sites. We were on top of the hill, nice view. They even have a dog park. The maintenance men are great. Our awning came apart, because the fasteners that hold it together fell out. We could not put them in to close the awning, they put some of them back in and we could close the awning then we could pull the trailer home. We just like the park. We will go again and again. The sites have trees to shade the campers.
We have been staying at scenic mountain several times a year for the past four or so years. We called to see about availability for this weekend and were told they are once again under new owners and the sites we always ask for, those to the right of the pool and up the hill were now only for monthly renters , no exceptions. We were told by the rude gentleman that their other sites were just as nice but they are not. They are very tight and not at all scenic. I love going to Milledgeville and walk around the old asylum, but I will be taking my camping business elsewhere.
We enjoyed staying here, we will be back. Firewood 4 sale would be good tho! Just a thought.
This RV park was a gem of a find. Roomy level spots with well maintained swimming pool, fishing ponds, walking trails, childrens playground, laundry facility, nice bathrooms and bath houses, super friendly staff, live entertainment on weekends, and very little road noise. I watched the staff provide tools and parts for people working on their rigs, helping set up, picking them up in golf carts to ride to facilities, and just generally being some of the friendliest camp hosts I have seen. There are two levels to the campground, with one being on top of a hill. For some that walk could be troublesome but manageable. Both areas have bath houses and restrooms so it really is not a big issue. Views of the various ponds and the overall area are nice. Small camp store has some supplies and there is a Dollar General within a half mile. Downtown is easily accessible with an assortment of stores of all types. We stayed three weeks and was never bored. If we have the chance to come back this way, we will absolutely stay here again.
Nice campground with some nice views. great stop for resting up for a couple of day. has all the things you need for kids and a nice dog park for our kids.
We just checked in today and already love this place. The office staff are so nice and friendly! The whole area is so clean and peaceful. My kids are having a blast running around! This will be our first choice when camping. 5 stars!!
Very nice folks here. We had a great spot at the top of a hill that afforded lovely views. This was our second time staying at this park.
Nice and quiet. Room between sites. Hiking trails and dog wash stations are a definite plus!
Nice park. I would given it a 4 or 5 star if they would answer the phone or return messages. Called at 4pm and when lady answered she said just turned computer off and wanted to know if I could a back tomorrow. So the next day called THREE times and left messages with phone number. Did not receive a call back. So the next day called THREE more times leaving name and number. No call back so tried a fourth call and they answered. Made the reservations. Two hours later received a phone call stating they are returning my call and to call them back. I did and got message machine. Good customer service dictates a return call within in 24 hours. A lot of parks carry phones with them if theyve left the office. Just a thought.

I have stayed here before and everything was very nice and clean. When someone left that site was made sure it wS clean for the next person. Fire pits where keep clean. This time my site was not Clean. There is cigarette buts everywhere and the site next door uses there fire put a lot and it has not been cleaned ouf at all. Things sure have changed a lot with the new Management. This park use to almost full and now it is at maybe 1/2 full at least may be or less. You also have to watch out you mite be charged for something that you shouldnt be. Lot of things have changed for the worst.
Update...Its early Dec. 2020, passing thru again. Colder and park is still nice, and this year, under new management.Year ago/2019-Early SpringIts absolutely gorgeous here. Very clean. Manicured. Have to say its my favorite place so far.Four ponds and Furkids love them, more so than the dog park I think..lol

Our week-long stay at Scenic Mountain was great! Jenna & her staff are so friendly & attentive. Our sites (56 & 57) were spacious, cable worked fine, wifi was in/out but we were able to use our personal hotspot. Majority of sites are very nicely spaced. Large, shaded dog park. Pool area was very nice and bathrooms were spotless! The resort is in a nice, quiet location. We will be back :)
The management need to give a lot more care to appearance of them selfs when they are out in the park and not wearing a raged shirt and pj bottoms. I feel they giving the appearance of a trashey place in stead they should be dressing in appropriate clothing.

Its the Scenic Mountain RV Park and Campground. Weve been here for almost a month. This is a nice private park. It is very well maintained and the managers are very nice and professional. They do have volunteers here. So if that is something you would be interested in you could always contact them or speak to them when you arrive about their volunteer program. There are a lot of amenities here. They have a bath house and a separate restrooms that also contain showers. There is a laundry room with 3 washers and 3 dryers. There is a place to give your dog a bath. They do have mail delivery and you can pick up you mail and shipments at the office. There is a dog park thats fenced so you can let your dog run around off its leash and several mini trails to hike on as well as a play ground and a pool. They also offer some planned activities if you should want to attend. All in all this has been a pleasant park to stay in and I can understand why a lot of people live here full time. Its also not to far from the Walmart and places to eat and so on. So if you are looking for a place to stay a few days, a few weeks or even a few months this might be the park for you. Well be back!
Checked in on 8/6 at site 30, late afternoon, 96 degrees, breaker trips - no A/C. Jenna and Jerry showed up within 45 minutes and replaced breaker and receptacle. The greatest customer service we’ve ever received! This place is awesome!! This is our 6th trip here and it won’t be our last.Bob & Jen Bachman

I had probably a dozen questions and she and another woman were very kind and answering my new camper questions without laughing at me too much :) My week vacation is in June of 2020 and I cant wait to meet these folks. A lovely rv park seated atop a hill with well kept grounds and facilities, hiking trails in the forest along creeks, and several small stocked ponds. Other folks were nice being mostly older, with some families. 10/10 recommend.
I kinda stumbled upon this campground while on google maps, looking for a place to stay for a couple nights on our way back up north. It looked very appealing on my phone~so I called and reserved two nights. Boy, am I glad I did. The pictures on line did not begin to capture the beauty of this campground. I wasn’t expecting this at all. With our Good Sam discount it was only $35 so I was just expecting something mediocre.We pulled in, the office is just off the road, nice , no searching.We were greeted by “Barb” ~ who was very jovial and helpful and smiling the entire time. Nice gal.We were then escorted to our sight .... up a long winding , well groomed road. Beautifully landscaped! The entire park is so impeccably landscaped.The fella who escorted us was super friendly ~ I wish I’d asked his name. Ty sir.I’ve never seen such spacious sights! And so level!We hardly made any adjustments. The showers were very clean and very large.I stayed in awhile and did not experience any change in temp or pressure. And it is handicap assessable. It was our first visit here but it definitely won’t be our last. I only wish we could stay longer. I know my pics won’t do this campground justice ~ you must check it out to breathe in the full beauty. Do your homework ~ they have SO much more to offer here that I have not mentioned. Pool... dog wash... camp store ... fishing ... hiking trails ... etc. etc.... Ty so much to the owners and the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.See you in the next go round. #happycamper

We enjoyed our overnight visit. Everyone at the Campground was nice, the sites offered full hookups with cable and were level.Sadly we didnt have time to visit the town but hope to return and do that in the future.
We loved our stay here. Staff was friendly and the site worked well for our 40ft diesel pusher. We had a pull thru site that faced the hills and trees which made for a beautiful sunrise view.
What an absolutely delightful place. The park was beautiful and plenty of space at each site. The facilities were spotless and you can tell that the staff and fellow renters take great care to keep things nice and enjoyable. Would highly recommend.
This park was beautiful. It had great amenities not only for us but for our fur babies. It was very clean and well maintained. They had a great bluegrass band on Saturday night. The staff was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We would recommend staying here to anyone. We will be returning in the future.
We’ve stayed a few times, like the people and the area. Everything clean, peaceful and pretty. Walking trails through the woods (my Yorkie got bit by a Cooperhead snake though, so be careful (she’s survived)). Would (and probably will) stay there again.
Good RV spots, WIFI/cable was out the whole time, again. Second visit here. Good, clean laundry but HOT inside. Lots of private fishing lakes. Close to many restaurants near college town. Entertainment on the weekends, nice pool, hilly but good for exercise/ walking.
The campground was clean. The hosts were friendly and the entertainment was really good. The directions to this beautiful getaway are confusing. Once you get to Lake Sinclair, you are good; but if you travel on I75 or Hwy 16 it gets confusing. Otherwise this is a 5 star.
So welcoming. Offered to guide us to our spot. Sites are far apart. Area is nice and quiet. Dog friendly. Halloween events planned for the weekend. Bath house and laundry very clean. Would definitely recommend.
This is a really nice campground. The sites are roomy, there is a nice pavilion for use, music shows, picnics among the campers and the grounds and buildings are super clean. We didn’t use the pool but it was very clean. If the owners ever wanted to consider a little recreation for retired folks a small putt putt would be wonderful. We will definitely visit again.
Always a delight. We return there every January with our camping club. The owners/operators are always warm and welcoming. The facilities are well maintained and comfortable.

Stayed at the end of June and had a great 3 day getaway! Live band - Night Birds - played and the music was fantastic! Great dog friendly park with some hills, but level sites. Will come again!

BEAUTIFUL:SCENIC MOUNTAIN RV PARK IS A LOVELYCAMPGROUND TO COME AND HAVE A GREATTIME TO ENJOY.
We were looking for a stop between Savannah and Nashville and happened across this place. I called when we were on our way and Tommy was very helpful getting us set up for our 4 night stay. We arrived after hours and he was even there to help us get backed in to our spot. Most of the sites are back in. We have a 40 foot motor home and didn’t have any trouble getting backed in to our spot. We had full hook ups as well. The bath house was nice as well as the laundry facilities. Each bath house had an outdoor area with a station set up for a dog wash. We took advantage of the dog wash station while we were there which would be suitable for dogs of all sizes. The pool recently had a new liner installed and was very nice. It went all the was to 8 foot which you don’t see much anymore. They had live music on Friday and Saturday night as well as serving hamburgers and hotdogs for the event. There were several ponds you could fish from. The office lenses out rods and you could buy bait there too. The office sold many different things such as RV necessities that you might have forgotten or may have broke. The only negative encounter we had during our staff was with an employee. My five year old was at the pool. I myself had told him to stay off the rope several times. The male employee drove by on a golf cart and on his way back stopped came into the pool area and said “Who’s kid is this?” I told him mine. “He said keep him off the ropes.” It’s not that I minded him telling me to keep him off the rope as it was the way he told me. Everyone at the pool agreed he could have went about it better. If we are ever in the area again we plan on staying. Also if you turn right out of the campground and drive a bit you will find a nice little town with lots to see and do.
We stayed at Scenic Mountain RV park for three months. The park itself is beautiful. There are fishing ponds and hiking trails. There are laundry facilities and shower houses. I believe the park is under new management now, so I cant comment on that aspect. When we were there the nightly rate was $35/nightly. All sites were full hook-ups, and very spacious.

We could not be happier with our stay at Scenic Mountain Campgrounds. The Staff was VERY Friendly, all of the facilities were clean, the sites were clean and Hugh. We will include this Campgrounds in our next planned vacation to that area.

The staff is kind and helpful. The grounds are clean, well maintained and easily navigated. We loved that this park offered numerous amenities for my precious pups. The dog washing station was so convenient after those long hikes or long plays in the dog run. I found the bath houses were the cleanest Ive ever seen in our travels. The place was very family friendly and fun.

Excellent RV park!!Clean, quiet, safe and everyone is very helpful when you need something.They have a dog park and dog wash stations along with a clean laundry room and private bathrooms.I have attended their Valentines dinner and music afterwards and tonight they had a St. Patricks day ( authentic Irish meal)And blues music afterwards and both meals were absolutely delicious!They are adding more activities on a regular basis.I highly recommend this RV park!

We happened upon this park after a flat tire on our camper while headed home. Mike and Mark were out front working and they were so kind and helpful. They made sure they helped us get on our way in little time. Thankful for kind people who are angels when needed! We will defiantly visit this park again for a longer stay.

Extremely friendly staff, under new management which is an improvement from our last visit. Some sites are not level so beware of this. There is a deep dip in the road leading into the park after registration. The only other drawback is that the location where you have to park to register is extremely steep. If your brakes failed while you were registering youd have a totalled coach because the deep dip is right after that. If they could redo the entrance so you could park sideways while registering, that would be a huge improvement. Clubhouse is nice as is the cabin. Cabin is a bit pricy. Lots to see in the area.
Everything the reviews said was true. First class Rv Park that was very clean. Paved roads make it great for bike rides. The hiking trails are scenic and nice for walking. Pool was great and really nice showers, they even have a storm shelter! Thanks for the nice check in Tracy and the shady spot!
What a great RV Park! We have a 45 foot rig and tow and XL vehicle. The lots are plenty big enough and there is plenty of privacy. The park is clean and well cared for and the owners are extremely nice and very helpful! We will definitely be back. Ed and Susan Forbes

Found Scenic Mountain RV Park after using google to look for campgrounds. After looking at the pictures of the park we decided to give it a try. And let me just say we are happy we did. The park is beautiful and quite. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to make it a great experience. Its location is close to shopping and restaurants. But away enough once you get in the park you feel like you are in another state. We will certainly be back and will be telling all our camping friends.

They were a huge part of our memorable and exceptional experience! The Campground is beautifully maintained and very impressive. Of course, the Clubhouse was the centerpiece of all our activities within the Campground and was perfect, it received rave reviews from our Chapter Members!We will definitely return in the future!
Love this park.....well laid out, privacy and views. Back ins and pull ins have ample distance between spaces. Staff very pleasant and accommodating, grounds are immaculate and well cared for. Very pleased with this experience.
We stayed here in November of 2017. One of the nicest RV parks we have visited. Clean property, fantastic facilities, easy check-in as ours was after hours, friendly staff, roomy sites and not one negative comment to make. Beautiful views and walking trails. Price was reasonable. Centrally located for a great trip of the Milledgeville to Madison, GA area.
Very clean and neat. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Had to leave 3 days early because of approaching weather but Butch the owner said he would put a credit on the books for me. This campground is a perfect half way stop between NC and FL. Well be back!!
I have stayed at Scenic Mountain Campground for the past two years. Of all the campgrounds we have stayed at, Scenic Mountain is my favorite. The owners and staff are kind, courteous, and caring and do everything possible to make a guest feel welcome and safe. I will return to Scenic Mountain Campground every year that we travel in our RV!Trish Long
Love this rv park. Nice and friendly management, large sites, clean facilities. Trails , fishing ponds, playgrounds for kids, and a pool. Dog park for the four-legged friends. Every time we go something new has been done. A good place to just get away for the weekend.
We have stayed several times at Scenic Mountain RV Park and Campground. It is our go to weekend getaway now. The park is very clean and the sites are nicely spaced. There is a pool which I know has a new liner and will be open this summer. There is a dog run which is nice to take your pup and let them off leash. Beautiful park, I just cant say enough about Butch and his staff on making you feel welcome and ensuring that your stay is perfect.
This place has always been nice but they have recently made improvments and it just gets better every time we stay here. Easy to find, quiet spacious sites with nice clean hookups. Close enough to needs but off heavy traffic area so no road noise. Staff is great and knowledgeable.
Our stay (entire month of March 20018) at Scenic Mountain was fantastic. We are 2 retirees, a dog and a big bird. The location is beautiful, quiet, and the sites are very spread out. There were fishing ponds and lots of hiking trails. We are in a large Class A so we didnt use the laundry or shower facilities. The staff was very helpful and nice and the little town of Milledgeville was beautiful. We attended Covenant Presbyterian Church at 440 N. Columbia St which provided great worship and extremely friendly fellowship. We will DEFINITELY return.

Highly recommend visiting this well maintained facility, the staff are so friendly and helpful. This place is well taken care of and very clean. The owner is always running around checking on everything and making sure all your needs are taken care of. The last two time we stayed here they had a ice cream social at the club house and built a fire outside and had some of the camp site guest playing guitars and singing while sitting around this makes for an amazing and enjoyable afternoon.This is what camping should be all about enjoying good people and relaxing. Five stars is not high enough rating for the staff here!!
We were only able to stay one night as we were planning to rendezvous with our granddaughter who lives locally to head to Hilton Head the next day. This was our first time and found everything to be very nice. The person at check in was friendly and provided us with information. The campground was very clean and there was nice spacing between sites. I see a repeat visit in our future. Thanks
VERY CLEAN and very nice staff and owner but the whole campground is on hills .. hard if you have a stroller. Fishing was fun . Lots to do downtown ..lots of history. Also theres lots of noise at the site we had.
I have been staying in RV Parks all over Fl, GA, VA for the last 6 months and Scenic Mountain RV Park is by far the best, cleanest and had the best water pressure that I have encountered. The setting of the campsites leave plenty of room between and the RV Pads are all gravel and level. The people in the front office are very accommodating and the pricing is some of the best for what you get. I am now in Stone Mountain Family Campground and if Scenic Mountain is a 10 (and it is) then this is a 1.

Great place to stay, met several long term- full timers here. Has a few small ponds with fish in them. Lots of small fish but some big enough to break a line.Full hook ups, nice club house/day room, shower house, and dog wash station. Nice landscaping, clean park.Seemed like a more mature crowd, not like alot of the lake campgrounds. Very family friendly. Not really a mountain but a large hill.Close to Milledgeville, 15 min to Lake, 45 min from Dublin. Will definatley visit again.
