The pool is clean and a nice temperature and the staff set friendly and also accommodating.I really enjoy swimming at the y and so grateful to have this pool nearby.

I recently moved to Middletown, and I wanted to try out this YMCA, and this is my experience with this gym.Staff: friendly, professional, and efficient. It changed my membership and issued a new card for me within 10 mins.Pool: a standard 25 yard pool, lifeguards pays attention, and provides some equipment for patrons.Gym: upstairs are where all the stair-masters, treadmills are at. With a track circle around it. With all the machinery, it made me feel cramped. Downstairs are the same as well. However, the machines upstairs are well maintenance. The free weights area can use a little upgrade though. It’s a bit difficult to maneuver around the tiny space.Overall it’s a very nice gym, better than the one in Monroe. If you like to workout in a quiet gym then I’d recommend that you go in the morning or late evening. I do have one critique for the owner of this gym though. it’s the staff’s does not intervene quick enough when there is a large group of patrons, and they are making a ruckus (hogging the popular workout equipments, fooling around, screaming and disturbing other patrons) if they can fix this issue, then I’d definitely give it a 5/5 stars

Excellent facilities for regular workout and other fun filled activities for family. Workout area is nice and very clean. All machines and weights are in excellent condition. The place is visited by lots of families locally. To add to the facility is a nice swimming pool. Overall this is an excellent place for the whole family.

This is a most have membership place ..there many classes and activities for the entire family ..my kids love the family swimming sessions on Friday .i love the sauna abd Zumba and my husband the Boxing classes.

We homeschool. There’s no child care for children during the day that aren’t enrolled in public school! This YMCA is NOT homeschool friendly!

My first day and I love it!! Before I even signed up, I went to the meditation class, which lined me right up with myself, and then I slipped into the strength and stretch class!! I feel like a million bucks~~ I cant wait to try the sauna and steam rooms!! Yay for health and fitness!!

Great gym, with so much to offer. Classes, daycare and so many machines, stations and much more...... Im giving only 3 stars because the heated pool is not very warm at all. Its a new pool, thats been very nicely done, but cant get answers as to why its so cold. The pool is the main reason why our family chose the YMCA. Other than that I am very pleased with this gym.

Its a well used place. Very clean, but the wellness center needs new carpets.

Amenities? Yes. But for $45 a month, I was expecting better machines and a decent weight room. Negative. If youre an experienced lifter, unless you want to overpay to rub butts with someone while youre lifting, this place isnt for you.

A great family place for sports, recreation, child care and more. They recently added a new swimming pool and turned the old pool into a sports area for Gymnastics, Karate and more. They offer financial assistance for membership, child care, including summer day camp. The Middletown YMCA has been the anchor of our community for over 100 years! You can get a guest pass to check it out.

Call backs need to be in a more timely manner when it comes to membership issues. You shouldnt have to wait days.

Amazing place. Fun for the whole family. They always have something going on. Staff is very helpful. Clean gym. Machines are well maintained. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality gym.

The good: one of the only Ys that still gives 14 visits per yr to affiliate members.The bad: I shouldnt have to go tbrough a lengthy sign in process as a guest member of another YMCA, every time I come. I only make 4 - 5 visits per yr, yet this Y never seems to retain my info (in the same little wooden box where they keep visitor info at the front desk) from my prior visit. A little frustrating when it happens all the time.

Unfortunately this will be our last year at club kid. They recently made some changes to their inclement weather schedule. They said they called me at 926am to pick my child up at 5pm. I never received the call. When I asked what number they called they couldnt provide me the information. Because we didnt receive the call at 926am we didnt know to be there by 5pm. They informed us my son can not attend the YMCA, if they canceled after school activities moving forward. Also the director Sherry showed no interested in trying to help us, at all.

I love it! It has improved in the last few years. I would recommend it to anybody in the area. The pool is huge with their slide and the staff are friendly.

A lot to do, lots of adult and sign-up kids activities, but too many restrictions in terms of pool hours and no kids in dressing rooms where sauna is. Means no sauna for you if you with a kid on Sunday after 1pm when kids watch room closes. Short work hours on weekends. With new tile floors in locker rooms after shower towels for customers would have been a plus. New pool and weightlifting room is coming, cant wait... Overall good sport complex facility that keeps working on themselves....

Its a good gym for light exercise or as a family activity center. Would not recommend it if you are like free weights or a heavy lifter. Plenty of treadmills, etc. but busy during evening hours. The air inside doesnt seem fresh.

Little expensive, but such nice, supportive staff, fun, amazing classes that involve everyone. I mentor people with disabilities and we go to classes all the time, they love it and the instructors are so supportive.

They close anytime there’s a little snow on the ground it’s rediculas really ..and don’t join the gym to play basketball as they use that gym for a about a dozen other things

Started at the YMCA specifically for Newbreed boxing. I am extremely happy with the training I received and am still currently receiving from coach V! Whether you are looking to be a competitve boxer or just looking to work out and get in shape this boxing gym is the place to do it. Coach V is extremely knowledgeable, always ready to work, always on time for training sessions, and gives his all everytime Im training with him... If youre looking to get in shape and learn a great sport while doing so this is the place to be!!!

The best gym I ever been to.I was impress how clean the entire gym was.Many classes offer, also in pool aquacize it was great! I love the YMCA best gym in Middletown.......I also work at the YMCA :)

Impossible to get in touch with anyone. The staff members have no clue on whats going on, they canhelp with any scheduling or basic general questions about the club. Exterior lighting is horrible, the parking lot and the walkway is basically dark, undesirable for women walking to their cars. The restrooms are dated & dirty. After asking the staff questions about fitness/diet they make you feel like your bothering them. Many things have been stolen from weights to car keys. Many of the clients are undesirable, and forget about trying to cancel your membership that will take 4 month. They will continue to bill you. Good Luck!!!
