Being a new member, I couldnt help but notice the attentive lifeguards, how well the pool was maintained and appreciated that toys were permitted for children and pool noodles for any age. The music was a nice touch and that you could also bring your own snacks in. Their guest policy is fair as well. If there were any suggestion I could offer it would be to have a larger clock displayed outside. (Not everyone wears their glasses IN the pool.)

My family has been coming to this pool since it was first here and long before it was operated by the Y. The lifeguards used to be very friendly and build friendly relationships with the members at the pool. The place now because of the YMCA IS INFESTED with kids and a bunch of lifeguards that can’t stand them and always yelling at them for hanging on to a rope WHEN THEY ARE 3 YEARS OLD!! What else do u want them to do?? A small child is not going to tear it down. It is a 12ft deep pool, diving was aloud before. Yes you want people to be safe but the new owners have took it to an annoying extreme. Not every 7 year old needs a swim test just so they don’t have to watch them in the pool. I’m sure parents do not want their kids to drown either and they supervise them. I’m sure glad I did not grow up in this day and age. We used to even jump off the life guard stands and now they are gone. Prices are way up now too for what?? Will definitely be looking for another pool next year. Also can I Just say, there was never an incident before of a child becoming hurt when everything wasn’t so strict. The new rules are completely unnecessary!

The kids love it. The lifeguards keep it safe for kids of all ages. Always plenty of lifeguards around also. Well-run. It is less crowded the 2nd half of the day. Early on weekends it is often tough to get a chair.

This pool used to be good when it wasn’t run by the YMCA because the pool now is way too strict. The prices are also doubled what they used to be because the YMCA only wants your money. Also they make you take swim tests and just a whole bunch of other stuff that make it not as fun as it could be.

Nice small pool, but not worth the amount they charge visitors. Shame on the YMCA for charging this amount for such basic amenities.

As the supervisor of the pool, I can say that we strive for a safe environment for all to swim and have fun. The YMCA is proud to serve the community of Middletown to bring about youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Great place for kids and families. The Y is doing a great job!

Its a great place if you live near it and the Y now runs it.
