If you are a wildlife enthusiast and want an Everglades experience I recommend a bicycle ride along the trail. It is 15 miles round trip and there is a stop off mid point at the observation tower where you can cool off and refill on water. It is such a diverse ecosystem and there is new wildlife within a few feet of you throughout your trip on the trail. I was there in the heat of the day and I am sure if you go early you will see much more wildlife. Water is a must here as there are only two places to refill (at the entrance and the observation tower). Use sunscreen or be prepared to burn and make sure you have insect spray. There are biting flies here so if you do not have insect spray be prepared to be overwhelmed. Proper preparation will provide a wonderful nature experience. I highly recommend a visit!
Tiny little path where youre unlikely to see an actual otter but quite likely to enjoy your .2 mile trip
Shark Valley in Everglades National Park. Take a tram ride to the tower, you are sure to see alligators. We then took a walk back down the tram road to get a better look at the birds.
A detour with not much to see other than random holes on the ground
Nice little trail on how hammocks form.
Nature personified. Well labeled, well maintained trails, lots to see.
Short trail to show what the area is like if you get off the tramway
What a nice like this is
