It is right outside of the entrance of the museum, and it is free to walk around and between the lights. It is usually crowded. You can take great picture there

Because it is historical and we need police present in the black communities and neighborhoods with out them we can not depend on white cops to understand and give fairness without them now dont get me wrong there are some good police in general who are good men

During our first trip to Miami, my son, niece, and I visited the Museum. OMG it was amazing to see my son interact with the director and understand visually how determined our people were and are. The director shared some of the most intriguing stories and gave us insight we did not expect. My son who is now 13 says hes going to be a commissioner and I am so proud to introduce him to greatness. If by any chance you are in Miami I strongly advise you visit. Id say youd be empowered but Im sure the experience will provide you with so much more...going there, youd recognize your divine providence!

Informative tour of a striking example of how the first African American police officers in Miami overcame Jim Crow. Our tour guide Bo told lots of personal stories while also explaining the discrimination that these officers faced.

The museum operates using guided tours to help navigate the premises. My tour guide was Laurance, Laurance provided an incredible tour where not only he shared the mission and vision of the museum, but also its genesis and the future vision to the museum. He was extremely receptive to feedback, with an incredibly positive attitude, and hes also extremely knowledge about the rich history of not only the museum but also the background of the surrounding cities. He did an impeccable job a out highlighting the relevance and importance of the museum in preserving history

A challenging experience that explores Miamis segregationist history and the fact that this city had a segregated black police district to patrol just the black neighborhoods. Some residents preferred that arrangement better than after the police departments were de- segregated. The 92 year old African American man who worked there as a police officer back in the day gave credit to both sides of the argument.

Been here when we were in Miami. Loved the tour guide Archie! At the time we were the only two visitors, so Archie gave us the VIP treatment, although it was him who was the VIP, since hes the only black officer from this station still alive, to tell people about life back then! Thanks Archie!
