I thought Vizcaya was a botanical garden until I arrived and discovered this used to be a private estate! The gardens are beautiful and extensive. The house is decorated in a classic European style.. Very formal and ornate. The rear of the house overlooks the bay. Its amazing to think that at one time people lived here!

In need of serious maintenance. Most of the fountains are turned off. Would be nice if some sort of tour or audio guide would be offered instead of having guests wander around without any insight into the history of the place. Otherwise, beautiful place for pictures and family time. Parking lot was ample and organized.

Its the perfect picture-taking spot, especially at night. Ive been here in the day time, too, though, so you can get both perspectives, but, really, its better at night. This is a popular stop and usually has lots of people enjoying the setting. Ive even seen a bride and groom taking pics. The best part is that its free.

Very nice place . Before you go make sure you book your tickets online if not , they dont let you in . I cant imagine what happens with old people who doesnt know how to deal with online booking, or just the tourists coming from others countries sometimes they dont have internet on their phones. You should think about it. I guess you are the only place in Miami that dont accept cash.

What a nice, calming place to visit. Want to go back in cooler and non-CoViD times to be able to enjoy more of it. Did have issues w/tickets given to me as a birthday gift that I couldnt use b/c I didnt go on the date on the tickets. No where does it say tickets have to be used in the specific date.

Unfortunately because of Corna 19 the top floors are closed but it still is a spectacular venue to visit. Try to pick a day that is not so humid and go early cause you have to wear a face mask. Enjoy

While the Vizcaya Estate is magnificent, there is something so real about the Village side of the grounds. To manage all of the guests’ needs, there was a working farm. These historic buildings tell the story of farming, animal husbandry and machine repair. Without these facilities, the lavish entertainment would have been impossible. These are the stories of our lives and this side of the fence is just as important to the overall understanding of the history & how it relates to us today. Take a look at the website to keep an eye out for upcoming events.

A nice combination of history, stunning interiors and evocative landscape architecture. The ceilings alone are breathtaking. Make sure to see the swimming pool and all the little gardens tucked away throughout the property. One drawback is definitely all the wedding and quinceñera photo sessions going on. It makes it hard to get around and to see all the details of the garden. Absolutely worth visiting though.

The two problems that I had was1) I had to leave my car in a parking cross the street and then cross over to get to the place.2) Lack of organization. Its like I was expecting to have a guide giving us a tour so we can learn more about the story behind the place. But its, like everyone where inside guessing about anything.
