A nice place to visit. You have to go early because it is big and it takes time to see everything. The price is 24.99 for adults and when you go they give you a 50% discount ticket for your second visit. Clean bathrooms. The planetarium is very beautiful, they do the shows every hour. A very good place to take children. Now after the coronavirus, the mask and social distancing are mandatory, not groups of more than 10 people.

This was a complete waste of time and money. The obsession with masks, social distancing and sanitizing ruins the entire experience. There a long waits for some exhibitions not because they are busy but because they limit the amount of people that can enter at one time. The aquarium was neat to look at but completely inhumane. I dont know why humans think they can pluck things from their natural habitat and put them in artificial environments for us to look at. How would you like it if someone removed you from your home and life and put you in a cage? In essence, this is exactly what we are doing to these animals. In some aquariums there are so many fish in them I wonder how they survive.I waited to see the Worlds Beyond Earth all to be denied entry because so few people are allowed in at a time. There wasnt enough to do to keep me busy for the next show an hour later, so I left and came back. Turns out this was a waste of time just like the rest of the place and I left before it was over. So did many others. Why do we research other planets anyways and assess things like habitability? Is it so humans can find another planet to destroy after we destroy this one? This was a huge dissapontment and I suggest finding something better to do that doesnt remove living species from their natural habitat and putting them on display. Its also time to stop living in fear of things we cannot control, like a virus. You cannot fight with nature. It will run its course no matter what you do. In most cases, the flu is worse. So stop worrying and start living.

Absolutely fabulous, impressive, airy science museum. Great for kids and adults (even those without kids!). We spent hours here, I didn’t want to leave. The architects set up the aquarium tanks so they are accessible from different levels and perspectives- I’ve never seen that in any other museums. The view is stunning also. Some exhibits were closed due to covid but there was plenty open to keep us busy.

Awesome experience, definitely was fit for both adults date or an outing for a family with kids. A lot of really cool areas and exhibits. The planetarium video was very informative and lasted about 30 minutes. The entire exhibit took about 3 to 3 1/2 hours. We went during COVID-19 so we weren’t able to pet the sting rays but they had an awesome aquarium that we really enjoyed. Recommend finding some where else to park that’s cheaper because it’s $15 for non members.

This was an utter disappointment. The old science museum was way better and much more interactive. The planetarium was closed, and there really isnt much else to do or see. Its really more of an aquarium then a science museum. 2 hours is more than enough time to walk around. The other science exhibits are a joke and look like they were put together by schoolchildren. Wont be going back again. Where is the science?

My wife attended a work conference and I walked from the Hilton hotel with my three children. The museum was perfect for spending the afternoon. The prices were about $5 more than advertised on their Google My Business profile, but wasn’t much of a shocker. The price seemed fair for 3-4 hours worth of entertainment. We managed to take our time through most of the exhibits and watched one of the planetarium shows. The children (3, 9, 13) were all engaged in various exhibits. We had a stroller and there were only a few occasions in which we had to park to get access to the area. The elevators did not take a long time to come to each floor and I didn’t feel burdened by having a stroller. We cannot speak on parking or food - but there seemed to be an underground garage and several locations for eating/picnic.Overall it was a great time and if ever landed in Miami - we would go again.

Very interesting museum with plenty of sections to see. Planetarium was nice. I think my favorite part was the mirror maze. I’m not sure if this is a permanent attraction or just something that’s there now for now. The aquariums are not huge but are interesting. Lots of little areas for kids to interact and do different science projects. Food at the restaurant is a little pricey but when you’re hungry it’s worth it. The views from the fourth floor and roof are wonderful. Please see the pics attached. Parking rate was a bit high after spending a little over half a day the parking was $28. I believe it was $8 for the first hour and $4 for each additional hour. I saw people walking from across the street, Maybe they park there so that might be an option. We out of towners don’t know this. Overall a very decent museum but not necessarily something I would do again on my next visit to Miami. Kind of once you do it there’s no real reason to do it again. If you have not gone this is a good option and if you’ve been ready, there are other entertainment options available.

I was there with my child (healthy) a couple of weeks ago, ended up in line for a movie behind a seriously and continuously caughing child, wearing mask half way. I notifies attendant I do not want to sit close to caughing child, and ask them if they will allow a cauging child inthe movie putting all people inthe closed area at risk. They did nothing. Itried to protect myself and I am pregnant never been sick since covid happened and I am now sick with the same deep caugh putting my entire family and unborn baby at risk. After the movie the attendant chased me down and said “we are sorry about it, and they are keeping an eye on the family with child” ...whatever that means.Symptomatic kids and adults should NOT be allowed on premises at all. This place is amazing. There are so many interactive elements and games. You can touch stingrays, play on touch screens, and get up close with huge windows in the aquarium. And no soap at a hand washing station near the rays. Why is this museum open and the art museum (where you cant touch anything) closed?

Very disappointed for the following reasons:1/ over priced and no senior rates2/ poor or nonexistent signage from parking lot to direct you to the museum3/ poor signage all through the museum. it would be helpful to have map kiosks on each floor showing your current location and exhibit locations.4/ painted arrows in each floor off the elevators and stairs pointing to the exhibits5/ food services should be open the same hours as the museum instead of shutting 3 hours earlier than closing time6/ provide vending machines on each floor It is very hot and humid to be walking around with all the water fountains closedIn all honesty, this trip is only worthwhile if it’s a class trip. Great place for kids and adults! The new museum differs completely from the original one... For me architecture of the building is what draws attention in the first place. Located in the downtown area, it offers magnificent views of the Miami skyline. It’s predominant part are the giant aquariums (that’s why I almost feel like it should be called seaquarium rather than a science museum). There is also a very vast and modern planetarium with a good selection of shows. The reason I gave it 4 stars, is that (compared to other science museums I have visited around the world) this one has a very modest amount of science/science exhibits. What I find astounding is also the parking pricing... Even with a membership it’s very expensive (and usually empty). I would still recommend visiting for the views, the sealife and planetarium shows.

The 2 stars go for the beautiful planetarium and the aquarium. I could not enjoy the museum at its entirety because the reserved hour was from 4:30, but they don’t tell you that at 6:00 you have to be out of there ( literally out) so we could not go for the other floors. There is a lady telling many times that you have to go down to the 1st floor and go. We spent $100 and we felt like children where others tell us what to do. It is not fair for the ones who arrive to that time. At least don’t sell tickets for after 4:00 pm because otherwise you will not be able to enjoy the walk. Not recommended

So I came to Miami on vacation and I love astronomy so I was excited to see to see the planetarium but things didn’t work out. There is a line to get into the planetarium that is not regulated so any any everyone can go wherever or let their group disperse then reassemble when it’s time to go in, making it impossible to actually get in the line. I came at 2:30 and could not get into a single show. (After paying 24.99 for admission and 15 for parking.... for one person). The rest of the exhibits are interesting although a lot are closed because of covid. When I asked guest services I could get a voucher to return for the planetarium show the manager advised me that the ticket is already discounted 5 dollars to accommodate any inconveniences . I advised her that none of that information was on the website OR anywhere in the museum. Basically if you’re going for the planetarium don’t because there is no guarantee that you will be able to access it. I did not feel that the manager provided any customer service as she was talking over me the whole time and seemed offended when I asked why they do not schedule the shows if it is “like a theatre”. Definitely way better ways to spend 40 bucks in Miami.

This was our first visit here and it was a horrible experience.Tickets have to be purchased for a certain time. We booked a 3:30. They have NO SIGNS to indicate where to enter. There is a tent you have to enter in for a temperature check. The service desk is closed.Once in, they tell you to start from the 6th floor down. The 6th floor is just a rooftop. No exhibition. We made it to the first floor by 5:15 and stood in line to enter the earth planetarium. There was about 20 people ahead of us. People were sitting on the floor waiting for their turn. At 5:43 the next group entered. NO ONE came around to inform those who did not enter that we would not have a seat and they would turn us away! There was about five families waiting and they told us the show was closed. This is poorly managed! They should have some way of announcing a final time to make a line for the show. AHEAD of time. NOT after standing in line with two kids and my family for half an hour and they tell us they can’t let us in.I paid good money to come here and the way the manager on site handled my complaint was unsatisfactory. They could of least offered me a discount for a next visit or validated my parking. Something!! I have to say, we will NEVER come back again. Learn how to be more organized! The only reason I’m giving them two stars, is because they are on top of people who don’t keep their masks on. About it.

We came as a camp of 45 children grades 2-11 with 6 counselors, and we had a fairly good time. The exhibits themselves were interesting to the kids and occupied their time very well, especially since we started from the 6th floor and worked our way down so we could see everything. The planetarium show was also a big hit, especially since wed spent the week talking about stars in camp. The downsides were 1) the food. Not all our kids wanted to bring their lunch and ordering took a while. The food also took a longish time, but it was fresh, hot, and very tasty. The cost of drinks was astronomical; even if you plan to buy lunch make sure you bring your own beverages. 2) The gift shop. One of the employees at the gift shop was very rude and they did not seem to have a process in place to deal with groups of children wanting to spend their money. Also, everything was very expensive. On a last high note, the porters were very helpful and the staff answered all of our questions with patience and grace. All in all, it was a good trip, but if I had to choose between Frost and another museum if probably give the second a try.

And in the last floor you can find a water laboratory specially for kids but also for adults. Here you can play with water and physics. But definitely my favorite part was the Planetarium. It was a great experience. Through the voice of Woopy Wolber you will learn about the formation of the Universe, other galaxys, our Son, our planets, specially the Earth. It was an awesome experience. I recommend this place as a very interesting and interactive museum for all the family.

This place is amazing. Its beautifully designed. I could have spent all day looking at the aquariums and watching the fish swim around. My toddler could have spent all day in the shark simulator. The exhibits were well thought out. There was lots of outdoor seating for us to enjoy our lunch too.

Amazing place!! Even without kids, this was such a fun place to visit. Not being from somewhere where it is warm all the time, it was different that the main corridors are outside and all the exhibits are in rooms off of them. There is 6 floors of different exhibits and a planteterium. The view of the port of Miami and downtown are Amazing! I highly recommend! This is not something to rush through so I would set aside at least 3+ hours to see everything inside!

Take the whole day off to do it. We spent four hours and it was still not enough! So many interesting exhibits, such little time.

Great museum, we were there about 3 hours. particularly interesting is the aquarium that informs about the wildlife in the water around Florida. Great roof terrace with views over the bay. You can also watch a 30 minute planetarium show, which is very informative. The museum is recommended for children and adults.

This is one of the best museums that Miami have, when you go start early so you can explore all the areas and perform the hundreds of experiments that they have, it will take you the whole day.The museum has ample pay parking but you can take the monorail that if you are not from the city will be another attraction.

Great museum. The aquarium was fantastic and has various different displays. You also get great views of the city from every floor. The pictures attached are taking from the fourth floor right next to the Mantay Ray petting area.
