Baby cakes are no longer there
I love going to the baseball games. I had not gone recently because of the heat. But they were so much fun. I don’t know what we are going to do with no games at the “Shrine on Airline”.
The Baby Cakes games are family friendly and affordable. Parking at the stadium is. $5 which puts you a short distance from the gates. There are elevators for those who cant handle the double set of stairs. Staff is very friendly and accommodating when questions arise. Food is basic sports fare-nachos, chicken, hot dogs, pop corn, pretzels, ice cream, milk shakes, pizzas. Beverages include water, Gatorade, soft drinks, beer and cocktails. The heat even at 7pm was running around 88 degrees with a feel like in the high 90s. There are fans running in the vendor concourse, but in the seats not in the shade was very warm. Various fan contest breaks up the 9 innings with the traditional 7th inning song and stretch break. The game concluded with a nice fireworks show and players hung around for a few minutes to sign balls for the kids. It was an enjoyable way to spend 3 hours on a Summers night.
Badass test sight. Didnt get to see the inside of the dome but look pretty sweet from the parking lot.
Loved watching the NOLA Babycakes play Round Rock. They won and it was such an awesome game. The food from the concessions is very tasty and the stadium is so nice and clean. The staff around the stadium was super nice. Love all the little games they have with fans between innings. The stadium is truly a New Orleans landmark to come see. And it was great when leaving for Bunny Bread to hand out free loaves of bread to fans. So nice. Hope to see yall soon.
Great atmosphere, ample parking, good seats. Only downfall was lack of offerings at concession stand, but maybe that was due to the holiday. Super experience because we won. Will definitely go again!
The game was great. Really disappointed on the fireworks display ( 10 min or less) on the 4th of July. Last time I went to a AAA game was two years ago at Dell Diamond the fireworks lasted at least 30 min. But I can see why. The stadium can accommodate up to 10000 fans; last night I can guess it was not little more than 1/3 full.
We used to go to Zephyrs games all the time. But since they changed the name to the Baby Cakes to run off customers, it worked with us. We will be supporting the minors over in Mississippi from now on. Even College baseball starting to look good.I understand they are leaving. C Ya.Hope they get something better in.
Took the whole family to a game. Had the best time. Everyone was super nice and helpful, the food was great! The kids a absolutely loved the popcorn in the hat they could fill up as many times as they wanted! The facilities were clean. Was a fun filled night! Will definitely be back!!
The Who that Festival was great it was pretty hot but I love the provisions they made for the festival-goers I hope we try again next year for a second annual who that Festival

Great venue, great arena for New Orleans Baby Cakes games. Clean, staff is friendly, bathrooms are kept clean. Concession stand prices are s little high, but no more than at any other sports function. #wheelchairaccessible #ramp
Who was the unintelligent person that chose Babycakes? Was it the owners grand kids or a personal friend that owns one of those bakeries? What a way to destroy your fan base.
Hate the name change. Prices to high...team 2019 better than past years. Team leaving, think a Double A team will replace this Triple A team. Hope they bring the name with them.
I went to an event in the parking lot and it was as expected! It was clean and safe!

This is a fun stadium. There is a great knoll, a playground, lots of good grub, and there is always some kind of event.
Came for a game. Great stadium, great seats, plenty of food and beer.
Great baseball. My kids loved how close to the action they were.
Poorly organized. They ran out of bottled water. Took two hours to buy a bottle of water. They were not ready to handle the crowd. And checking out of the shop, one girl on register. The other person behind second register, was sitting down texting on her cellphone! Poor customer service!
Great time and the hospitality staff is always 100% the best! Highly recommend going to catch a game!!
Baseball was great but the ballpark experience was truly awful. I waited at least 40 minutes for food because staff seemed overwhelmed and (even on a Star Wars themed Friday night with fireworks) they only had one concession stand open. Sad to say, Im not surprised the team is leaving.

Cool stadium with a pool to the right over looking the field and descent concession prices.
Nice ball park, only complaint is that there are not enough fans, so only one concession stand is open and no vendors in the stands.
Great venue and they are supporting animal rescue via tx sales tonight.

Suite is the only way to watch a baseball game. Great food, AC to keep you comfortable.
Always have a good time when we come here. I have been for both work and recreation, and each time is a good time. The staff is always nice and entertaining, the facilities are kept nice and clean. There are some great areas out in the outfield for the kids to run around in, or have a picnic like setup for viewing the game. There is even a pool in the right field area. Place is very entertaining, its a shame attendance isnt higher on a regular basis.

Small but quaint stadium. Not a whole lot of food options but whats there is good. Quality over quantity. Still a fun place to take the family.
Best team in the minor leagues. Character, Athletes, knowledgeable, eager, SUCCESS. CAKES ......great place to go relax and enjoy Americas pastime. Go Baby cakes!!
These guys will be moving away from New Orleans soon and arriving in Wichita, Kansas!Im so excited that our town can have its own AAA ball club after the last AAA minor league team, the Wichita Aeros left us back in the 80s.Things are happening in Wichita and the town is finally breaking out on the National scene.The Baby Cakes will be renamed of course because, hey, no one here in Wichita understands the reference.Wichita will also host several future NCAA regional basketball tourneys in the next few years, as well.Looking forward to great sports in our great community!
Baby Cakes won the opener, fireworks show was great, and all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
The Shrine on Airline is a fun minor league stadium. Standard stadium eats along with local favorites like red beans, gumbo, and jambalaya. Nice local beer selection as well. And most importantly, theres not a bad view in the house. Terrific family entertainment and old fashioned fun!
I dont care what anybody else says, the Shrine on Airline always delivers a fun time. I love watching the Baby Cakes preform. The fireworks, the concerts, the themed days, what isnt to love about our AAA Baseball team?
At first I had seating issues, then I waited in the pizza line so long I didnt sit down until it was the second inning. To come back to my seats and find that someone had taken one (with my things in the seat;sat right on my jacket).I gave five stars because their was a manager (I should have gotten his name) here making sure everything was okay. He let me get what I needed and everything turned out okay ( this is my first time here; Im the representative for my daughter school and this game was a partnership with headstart). I will post an update later.
Being a SF Giants fan i wanted to support their Triple A team Sac Rivercats..Had a good time..unfortunately Baby Cakes team/organization does not present very well supported by fans...tooooo many empty seats
The city has a little of everything but still has a Southern charm. The French Quarter is touristy and smells like pee (wear closed-toed shoes and avoid puddles!), but worth the trip for some of the unique shops and sights! The architecture is beautiful! But theres a lot more than just downtown...check out a Babycakes game or hit up some killer fishing pretty much everywhere. Its an experience everyone should have.

The only thing better than the super clean facility, fun new name, great prices, good parking, tasty food, and skilled players is the amazing experience a family can have here.The name has actually boosted their sales by 3x the size! I mean like there are worse names than Babycakes. Is no one happy that our AAA team is known world wide!?!? Anyway, the Shrine on Airline is an awesome place to have fun!
We had the best day at the babycakes pool for a Sunday day game. Kyle, our rep, was great- attentive and made sure that we all had fun. Would highly recommend!

Love the Baby Cakes! We go as often as we can . We have a season package and its always a special good time.
Experience went downhill with the new owners. Staff is still friendly, team on the field is solid, but theres no life to the stadium. Not many food choices and theyre all frozen. Nothing fresh. No entertainment between most innings. Looking forward to the next team to come to town.

We are accustom to the Columbia Fireflies experience and this was no where near that. Not all food/ beverage facilities were open. Not much for in between inning entertainment
Best name and logo in sport. Only one better was the New Orleans Voodoo in Arena League Football.

For a field trip for school on May, we went to this game. What happened was, about 7 people passed out and 3 went to the hospital. Other schools left. It was the hottest day if the year. Anyways, we go every 4th of July (today was the 3rd.) Today was great and I recommend it. Just dont go on the hottest day of the year lol.
I performed here with my dance team. Dance Fleur Elite. Stadium was supercleanamddtaff was amazing. Food was good too.
I have been here three times in the last couple of months. My family and I have truly enjoyed ourselves at the games. The staff, players, & coaches were kind and very friendly when we got autographs. We will certainly be back next season.

The place is a little outdated, but its a great place to watch a baseball game. The food is great - hot dogs and hamburgers are a classic meal for baseball games, and they also feature some Louisiana favorites. They also have a team store to buy Zephyr merchandise.
Of course I love baseball and have made many great experiences with the girls here.
Great fan experience but the time spent waiting in line for concessions is unacceptable. If you want a hot dog, its gonna take about 3 full innings to get it

Fun ballpark, stupid new name. Zephyrs was fine, even great in comparison. Seems like a slap in the face to existing small fan base to try and pull in tourists and new transplants with a blue-eyed bald baby.
