My first trip here and I was very impressed with the store and the huge selection of salt water livestock and equipment.... Frank the owner was super helpful and even helped my carry the stuff I bought out to the parking lot.... I definitely recommend checking his place out!

Wonderful aquarium store! Tons of beautiful fish in immaculately kept tanks! Lots of supplies, all the best. Prices are a little high but you get what you pay for Id say. Ive been in a lot of pet shops and aquarium stores in my life and this is probably one of the best Ive seen. Definitely will be back when were setting up our next tank!

Quite a beautiful store. Ive spent the last 6 months buying supplies and fish from them since they have some of the best selections around. I know they are very busy people however, I cant ever shake a feeling I get in the store that they could be more open and friendly.Ive left a few times feeling a little cold since I frequent there and feel somewhat invisible/ignored by some staff. Sometimes a friendly hello, welcome to our store, or how are you? can go a long way in making visitors comfortable.Other fish stores in the area have a friendly, welcoming vibe to them that makes you want to stay. Recently however, Ive been feeling like lets just get my stuff and get out of here.It sucks because this store is easily a 5 star in almost every respect and if they paid as much attention to their customers as they do the look of the store it would always have been my one stop for aquarium needs.

This place is the truth. Beautiful scenery. When you first walk in, it is as if you are entering an aquarium for viewing. Exclusive beautiful fish on display and for sale. Live plants, rocks, etc., you name it. Definitely a one stop shop for all your aquarium needs at reasonable prices. Excellent customer service. The owner put his or her all into this store and no other local aquarium store can top it!!

This place is great! They have everything that you need in stock most all the time. And their selection of Fish & Corals is the best Ive ever seen.It can get really busy here sometimes ... but the people who work here are super nice & very knowledgeable. If youre serious about your aquarium, then you have to check this place out!

The place is great, unfortunately theres always a long wait to get help in the fresh water dept. Im sure they make the bulk of their money on saltwater but it gets pretty frustrating waiting 15-20 minutes for $30 in grass shrimp. They keep the grass shrimp and feeder guppies in same tank so the employees have to pick out all of the guppies which takes forever! I dont want feeder guppies mixed with my fancies so they must hate when I come in there. I just wish they would cater to fresh as much as they do salt water.

I’ve been there numerous times for water and fish. Had a fish die within a couple hours of getting it and they gave me a new one. Also gave my money back for an accidental misunderstanding. Great customer service!

Great selection of plants and fish. Horrible customer service. I have been coming here for years and have tried being patient with seeing employees walk by me as a customer and not ask if I need help. I have spent allot of money here despite this issue, because of their service. Today I waited about 30 minutes before I finally received assistance. Then they couldn’t pull up the gift card that my wife spent $70 on for Father’s Day. I’ll be buying my aquarium supplies online from now on.

Good selection. A bit stuck up. You would think they thought they were Jaques Cousteau or something. They are just about the only game in town or I would have gone elsewhere. Still, If you need it, they got it. Just dont expect service with a smile or any discounts on buying a lot.

They have the biggest selection of corals and fish and anything else you need for saltwater or freshwater. They always answer any questions I have. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

Have traveled all over the country and visited many aquarium stores and this one is absolutely one of the best. Right on par with some of the great ones i go to in Florida. Wide selection of corals and saltwater products. Store is well kept and livestock looked terrific. Pleasantly surprised to see livestock that I havent seen outside of Florida stores. Only negative from my shopping experience was staff seemed very cold and not very friendly, not sure if it was covid-19 related but it wouldnt hurt to be a little more friendly and engaging with the customer. Other than that, will be looking forward to shopping there again soon.

Horrible customer service or should I say absolutely no customer service...called several times to schedule aquarium maintenance (always at least a week apart and never got a call back) and was met with a “we have you number we will call you back” then click...never asked my name or was it fresh or salt water...too bad my guy of 20 yrs retired...I will be calling Aquatic Specialties

Really like this place a lot! Staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable! If you like fish for your tank give them a visit! They have freshwater, and saltwater fish. They also have cichlids. Very clean and professional! Its worth it just to stop by and take a look.

This was our second time visiting this reef shop. We have never been disappointed and are definitely making the trip from Alabama to come back more often. We go here at least once a week or every other week.. Friendly and helpful staff.. Store is clean and pretty. Our son loves the big discus tank.

This is a grand location picked up a gift card for family. Service was great. Spent almost an hour just looking at their inventory witch is spectacular and abundant.

Truly the best store I have ever been in for reef and freshwater aquarium . This is hands down the best store I have ever seen. They truly care about their livestock and their customers. They go out of their way to help me every time I am there. I am there a lot too. Their fish are very healthy and so are the corals. I drive 45 minutes to go to this wonderful store to get everything I need for my aquariums. We have a 200 gallon reef and 55 fresh and they have everything I need. Their staff are wonderful and friendly. When we go in its like family. Thanks for all you do for us and my fishy friends. Shout out to Frank, Tim and Justin. You guys are great. I would give you a million stars if that was an option. You wont be disappointed going here.

Prices vary, sometimes you’ll pay more than usual, sometimes less. Employees are helpful and knowledgeable, though sometimes and can be hard to get a hold of an employee (only because they’re busy)They’ll let you know if they think the fish you want is the right fit for your tank and aren’t after your money. I haven’t gotten a sick fish from them (that I know of). Large variety of fish to choose from

Visited the store for the first time on Saturday. I was absolutely amazed at the display and variety of fish and supplies. I was looking for something they did not have in stock and an employee suggested I leave my name or contact the store from the website to see if may be something coming in the future. I sent an inquiry as directed from the website on Sunday morning. I was contacted very shortly by email by Mr. Lombardi on Sunday morning about my inquiry. I was told it may not be something that would be in soon and likely after the holidays. I was appreciative and said I would check back then. By Monday morning, I was told they ordered some and should be in by Wednesday. Along with helpful knowledgeable staff, incredible and well stocked store, you can now add unbelievable customer service! Thanks so much!!

Lots of different fresh and saltwater fish... a little on the expensive side, and a few of the saltwater fish were sick.

Matthew one of the workers their is extremely knowledgeable in a wide spectrum of sea and land based life. So if you have any questions or doubts definitively search and ask for him. They also have a good selection in fresh water fish for a store that mainly deals in salt water.

Cool store with lots of dry inventory, equipment and livestock.Unfortunately husbandry of fish & corals is a severely lacking. Corals tanks probably have too many fish. Looks like theres an abundance of nutrients and algae. The SW Fish holding tanks are overcrowded and incompatible species are frequently mixed, resulting in lots of dead fish in the holding tanks. It also seems like common practice to move fish to different holding tanks daily, if not hourly. Ive come in on multiple occasions, months apart, and have watched workers needlessly chasing fish around with nets to move them to other, crowded holding tanks. Why? No idea.Stock your fish in the holding tanks correctly from the get go, and youll have way lower mortality rates, and your customers will get higher quality fish.

This store is amazing, the tanks are always clean and full of an amazing selection, we are in the process of renovating our new home to make way for our next tank build and we will be getting our equipment and livestock exclusively from aquatic sea life. Justin was very knowledable and took the time to walk us through the requirements for our next reef aquarium, 5 Star service! If you are shopping else where for aquatics you are missing out, we will back to order our new water box from Justin in the next month!

Healthy live stock and staff was very helpful. Bought 3 angel, 4 zebra loaches, and 5 cardinal tetras and they all are doing great in my tank.

Whoever manages their Facebook is rude. That’s my first and last experience I will ever have with this location.

Had a problem with my tank and was expecting to spend a small fortune to fix the issue. Spoke with Justin and he advised that all I needed was the carbon I already had. They give great, honest advice without trying to sell you on things you dont need.

I have lived and traveled all over often stopping in local Tropical Fish stores to explore. Aquatic Sealife is top of the list. The store is well organized, clean, and friendly service. They helped me pack coral, clean crew, and live rock for a 24 hour journey. I was able to make it home with everyone in great condition. Professional, great prices, and a must stop for anyone in the area.

The sales associates and owners are rude and strictly salesman. They seem very misinformed on the livestock. There are sick and dead fish every time I go in. Its very upsetting to see the fish in unfit environments.

So let me start by saying something good.This place has a lot of options to choose from in fish.The people there are very knowledgeable. They have some really awesome unique fish. And they get very busy but still take time to answer all of your questions to the best of their abilities. Unfortunately my experience with the service wasn’t so pleasant. And I really think despite my experience this is an awesome place but they may have had an off week when I was there. So my first time going, me and my boyfriend travel across the causeway to see this place. Like I said it is awesome and unique. When the first staff member approached me I had asked him for suggestions on a unique different looking active freshwater fish for my 20gal and 75gal. I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted if I wanted 2big fish in the 75gal 1big and a few small or all small. But I was most likely going to go with 2 big fish. When this guy talked to me, He made it sound like I had no other option and that I had to get certain fish for the 20gal (I was looking at a community tank full of possibly tetras or mollies or other small fish) and for the 75gal to get 1big fish and a bunch of small. Unfortunately he wouldn’t take a breath so I could tell him that. Then he kept repeating do your research. Which I already knew was important. So noting that I was annoyed, another staff member walked up and helped us out alittle more and he was fantastic he even gave us a hobbie magazine and calander. the next day I called and no one answered. I just wanted to order 2 baby Flowerhorns. Having alittle free time on my hands and wanting to pick out the fish for my 20gal tank I decided to cross the causeway and visit. We talked to the same guy as last time to insure we got the best service and a clear understanding about the fish we were buying. And I placed the order for my Flowerhorns they told me it would be Within a week. If you have seen a Flowerhorn you know that these are fish to be excited about. It was clear I was very excited. But I was NOT in a rush because I wanted them to come in in good health. So I waited a week and heard nothing. So I decided to call. No answer. So I sent an email. No answer. So I decided to try and call one more time later that day. They answered and told me that the order wasn’t ordered right and apologized. I said that is fine. And they told me they would most likely have them tomorrow. So the next day they called me and said they were there and I picked them up late that night. So I put them in to my 75gal tank and looked at them closely only to realize they are sick. One was half dead the other was swimming around fine but both had ick and both have fin rot. So I emailed them and told them this. Keep in mind now I have been alittle frustrated I have been very understanding and I’m alittle bummed because I was really excited for these fish. But I was still trying to be nice and hopeful and I asked them what I should do and this was their response:Please bring them back , we do not usually let people take fish that are just in from our suppliers, we like to treat them first and let them acclimate in our systems. The only reason we let you take them that soon, is that you seemed in such a hurry to get them.Frank A. LombardiSo my problem is this:1: if you would have told me you wanted to get them acclimated to your systems to make sure they were healthy, I would have waited. I didn’t know this is what the Normal is. This was my first time “ordering” a fish.2:Why did you assume I was in a rush? Why not ask if I needed them soon or if there was any hurry for them then tell me you want to make sure they are healthy before they come home with me when you know I have a long drive out there because I told you.3: why do you have to be so rude to me when I have been so accommodating to you? You made a mistake when ordering my fish and you never answered my calls or emails.My fish don’t have ick anymore. I’m still working with the fin rot. I don’t plan on driving that far to bring them back just to get treated so poorly.
