This is a classic roller skating rink. They have been in business for 19 years and they just reopened on October 1st. It’s a great place to bring the family. They do birthday parties and other group gatherings. They have plenty of parking available to the public.

Full disclosure: I havent been to Broadway Skateland since I was in middle school around the 1989 to 1991 time frame. But I drove past it today while going down Gus Thomasson. I started thinking back to all the good times I had. I see it hasnt changed from the outside. Thats refreshing given all the cookie cutter developments that seem to have sprouted everywhere around that area. Were living in a time where everything is so sterile. Nothing has character anymore. All buildings look exactly the same. Broadway Skateland is a remnant of the past-a glimpse into a simpler and I believe much happier time when things made sense. It was definitely a hangout for me every Saturday night with my small group of friends. Many kids from my middle school went there. I would skate tirelessly for the full four hours-7 to 11. In hindsight it really was great exercise. The DJ would announce couple skate where the boys would be on one side and the girls on the other. We would get butterflies in our stomach when girls would skate across and choose the lucky guy or maybe not so lucky guy depending on if we were attracted to them. It was an exciting time in our lives when we were experiencing physical changes and feelings we didnt understand. Mentally we were still kids yet our bodies were beginning to mature. The novelty of it though tumultuous for sure brings back some happy memories. I was thinking about that today as I passed. I thought how it would make for a great episode of the Twilight Zone if I entered and suddenly was transported back in time 31 years ago. I could be that shy but excited 13 year old boy looking for his friends from school. Eager to see if the crush I had was there. Eager to see if she was looking at me. Nervous to walk up and talk to her while my friends laughed at me as I did so.Broadway Skateland is definitely an iconic place. I hope it stays and keeps its original character. It is a reminder of a happier time for sure.

Now I have never been to this rink. In the mid 90s I didnt my teenage years at westlake where I first met dad. I will never forget the man that watched out and cared for his kids there as his own. He is and always will be a great man and boss. Kept me on my toes.

Place is a little older but fun! Kids loved it nice to see old school skate rinks still! love ot!

Bonus for no carpet! My asthma thanks you. Getting on and off the floor is easy. No step up or down. Very reasonable rates and times. Didn’t give you 5 stars cuz there’s no popcorn or cotton candy

I am Johns wife Laura. Back in 1968 I was born. My mother took my big sister to what was then called. Broadway Skateland. My sisters skating teacher was Pat Patten. My mother started dating Pat in 1967. And they got married and had me. As soon as I could walk my dad had skates under my feet. And I grew up in Broadway Skateland. Ive even worked there. Took my kids, as soon as they could walk. My dad started the speed skating club. And he took us to Reginals. Id give it stars if I could. Im glad they kept the back wall painting. I like what theyve done with the place.

Daughter had her sweet 16 party there, the staff was awesome!

I WENT HERE WHEN I WAS A KID. MY 12 YR OLD LIKES THE RINKS CONDITION. VERY FRIENDLY AND KIDS CAN BE SAFE WHEN INSIDE. I did notice older kids outside seemed like they were up to no good. They were all walking home I guess, there was not a lot of parents there to pick up kids. Overall my kids liked it.

Had a good time. It was clean and staff is nice. A good and affordable place to bring the kiddos.

We had my daughters birthday party here and it was great! Kids all had so much fun skating we stayed an extra hour and a half after we vacated our party tables. Staff was friendly and helpful. A friend recommended after they had a birthday party here and we were not disappointed. Planning on it again for next year. Thanks, Dads Broadway Skateland for a fantastic party experience!

Ive been going here since I was a kid! My mom also went here as a kid! I love it that the place hasnt changed much over the years. My daughter also went here a lot and got her first job here. We love Dads Broadway Skateland and hope its around for many years to come! My grandson turns 1 next month and I cant wait till hes old enough to be the 4th generation skater at Broadway!

This place is great!

Visited my family in the area and the kids wanted to come here; this place is haunted by pre-teen mischief from the 90’s.My kid played the candy crane game and won a bunch of Sonic branded peppermints that you get with the purchase of a Route 44 which I thought was just plain hilarious. I’d have given a 5 star just for that epic troll job but then I was reading some of the responses the owner gave to 1 Star reviews and they are just savage. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Always family atmosphere there Friday kids need to be watched better but I believe they do the best they can they always play pretty good music we’re its not inappropriate the owners are nice I go all summer to there days they have deals I will go during the holiday break as well if they are open

Did a private event for my sons 7th birthday party and we all enjoyed it. Dad was so nice the workers were sweet and helpful. Definitely enjoyed myself.

Took my baby girl for her birthday. We had fun. It wasnt crowded and I liked that.

It was fun the music wasnt ghetto the building and everything in there was really old but it served its purpose had a retro vibe to it.

Older guy up front doesnt really seem to care about the customers and neither do the 2 Hispanic young ladies working behind the food counter. The only one that seemed to care was the young lady working behind the skate counter. Neither of the 2 Hispanic girls knew anything or even attempted to help or find an answer to my questions.

Tonight was an incredibly special night. We celebrated my daughters Sweet 16 birthday here Dads Broadway Skateland!I have to tell you the owner is an incredible human being. Very accommodating. Lended his expertise in how I should set things up and how he can assist in me in getting it done. His workers are incredible as well! Very helpful and kind...we had about 100 people at our party and everyone sincerely enjoyed themselves! Having a facility like this make it really easy...Let me highly recommend this venue for your parties or civic organizations gatherings!Youll be glad you did! We certainly are!

I love $2 Tuesdays! Fun atmosphere. Outdated or old building but serves its purpose. Good place to bring the family.

I had my party there it is amazing

Great for a family night out, but I would stay with the kids, dont drop them off and leave.. to many misbehaving pre teens and teens to trust them by themselves.. other then that great place..I would say that being responsible for the facility and the environment that you present is more important then the 5-7 dollars that you charge to enter.. remove the problem and ban the individual would go a long way to creating a better environment over all..Dont put blame on the home that they come from because no one is forcing you to allow them in..Was happy to come here till you replied with this comment.One less person to try and explain your lack of accountability too..

Really fun, super nice ppl, ill prob go back again

The roller rink is great, music is ok, but the food is awful. The girl used Styrofoam plates to heat food in the microwave (very dangerous) and heated the bun for 30 seconds for the most rubbery hot dog in my life. The pizza was more like cardboard. The nachos were your average nacho. So go for the skating and nachos, but skip the rest of the food.

Had a great time good environment

I only put three stars because I had to change out my skates 3 times. Some of the pair I received should have been refurbished or thrown away. Overall everyone had a good time. Id like to suggest refurbishing skates.

We have had competitions here for artistic roller figure skating. I am not from this rink though, so sorry for not having a lot to share! If you have kids who would like to learn, please bring them the here. The coach is amazing with kids. If not, just go to have fun with family and friends!

Awesome for Tuesday night skating. 2 hours for 7 bucks. I have my own skates so we only had to pay for my husbands rental. 7 for 2 entrances and 1 pair of inline skates. Not bad at all!

I give it 4 start its is good place to stake. Unfortunately there no supervision on the skate floor. You have little kids skating the wrong way. A lady skating with a baby in a stroller. kids standing in skating ring not skating long periods parents not watching toddlers skating. Could use a paint job I learned to skate here when I was little back in the 80s. Came here to teach my Daughter to skate. would be perfect if there was more supervision regardless of paint job, staff is friendly. But would not drop off kid here. I seen to accidents.

Its a good place to hang out and skate with friends

My grandkids skate there every week. prices are right, food is inexpensive and the staff pay attention to whats going on so you dont have to worry about your kids. And you can have a birthday party and reserved tables.

Its fine but the roller blades are terrible and the skates are really uncomfortable. The whole time I was skating there was a peace of plastic stabbing into my foot. There drinks werent vary good they were vary flat but, Had good pitza tho. The people working there were great and sooooooo friendly. Was a bit crowded but was fine. Really good for fast skating and had fun games on the skate floor. Over all a pretty good place to have a birthday party.

Its was good pricing for kids, but it was just looking a bit dirty, but the girls working there had this looks of dnt talk to me, My son fail n hurted his leg as we went down n couldnt get up n the guys that were around there to help kids get up n seeing if they were ok just looked at him, especially this one guy that was next to him, he didnt even help him up nor seeing if he was ok, i had to walk in there n help him up, only 2 guys that were working did help n brought me an ice bag, thanx guys

For not being much of a skater, the family always has a blast here!

Ive been going to this skating rink since I was a kid. Its pretty cheap to skate, unfortunately the decor is probably 20 years old and its very dark inside. This place needs new paint/carpeting/lighting.

My daughter went to a party here....the floor needs updating, the bathroom is fairly unkept , the food and servers were dry and tasteless. I didnt eat any pizza but it looked the way my daughter described it dry and didnt taste like a pizza. The girls behind the counter were not personable ( but, I give them somewhat of a pass....as teenagers...growing up in a desensitized- entitled...I dont have to do anything to get paid era). The guy that works the middle of the floor was just as unpersonable...and nonexistent. The party was 2hours and he came out to the floor once and seemed put off when people engaged him for help. I gave 2stars for being able to skate....and the lady at the entrance was welcoming.

Had a birthday party here last weekend and my daughter really enjoyed herself. We had way more kids show up than expected but every thing still went smoothly. Workers were friendly even after having to tighten MULTIPLE skate wheels to make it easier for our 1st time skaters. We went on a Sunday and the place was not crowded at all and seemed more like a family day as opposed to a Friday or Saturday.

Yes, this place may look like its old. BECAUSE it is! Yet, it has the BEST owner, I have had Many fundraising skate parties here and the owner and staff have been extremely accommodating. After visiting several rinks in the DFW area, Dads was the ONLY rink to give us a special rate for our Charitable Fundraiser. The thing that most everyone complimented on was the old nostalgic interior. This place brings me back to my Junior high days when we would skate every Friday and Saturday night. LOVE THIS PLACE!! Thanks to Dad for a FANTASTIC skating experience.

My kids love it,its close to home and Tuesdays have great pricing and good place to go close to home!! I had to get back on here and give props to the officer that was just hanging out helping watch things on Friday, he handled things so well and even told the kids to watch their language, he was great! Amen to him speaking to those children acting up and telling one to not come back, made me really knw my kids are safe at this skate rink, seeing how todays society is, AMEN to that made me smile, I almost clapped to lol ! Kids need disciplined and I completely respect that and his presence . Girls had another great night! Ty

This place is awsome...i love old school skate rinks...thanks for keeping N American tradition goin for the next generation...well I just left and I have to say the Owner is an amazing guy.who interacts with the skaters.like one big family .and the skaters here skate with their whole heart and thats inspiring ..So if you love to skate then you will love this place..i know when ever I can I will make it my first choice to stop here.

This place was not at all what I expected... It was not clean... There were stains on the seats... The places smells horrible... Stains on the carpet thats on the wall... Its just an all around dirty, filthy place that I wouldnt recommend to my enemy. I dont care that its old... But it should be clean. Even the skates are filthy and they smell... Its not worth it... The room for the birthday party was old and had horrible painting. It smelled worse and was not well ventilated so there was a fan in the room when we got there to keep the air circulating. I wouldnt recommend this place to my enemy...
