We got there really early, before the crowd and it was a beautiful and serene river kayak float We saw lots of wild Salt River Horses and theyre majestic and peaceful. I love this river! A Tomato Pass is required for your car. You can buy them at the parking lot kiosks for $12 if you forget to buy one ahead of time. I get mine at Frys Marketplace for $8. Enjoy!

This place is so fun! Kids do have to be a certain height and age as a safety precaution, see their website for details. Their are different entry points to ride the river and depending on where you enter will determine how long you ride. The longest trip being just under 5 hours depending on how fast the river is flowing. The shortest trip being under 2 hours. We usually take the middle trip which is about 3 hours. When you rent the tubes they will ask you how long you want to ride and will tell you what stop to tell the bus driver to let you out at. For $17 per person, its a fun affordable way to beat the heat!

Lower Salt River is great during the week and the tubers arent going and destroying everything. Wont last long. Cleanest Ive seen it, even though there is still periodic trash.

This is a great place to go. Beautiful scenery be sure to take snacks and plenty of sun screen. Also there was plenty of wild life to enjoy and a cave in the wall to jump into the water.

Dirty, some people missed the exit and had a hard time coming back when the river is full. Dangerous at night if you do the whole river. No lights. Trashes overflowing. Youd think for 20$ a person for a ride in the bus that these areas would have better appeal and safety. I gave it three stars as Im happy that its even there to be honest.

We had so much fun floating the Salt River. We saw a ton of wild horses. Salt River Tubing made it so easy. We floated it with kids 10 to 16 without any worries. It was the only way to spend 109 degree weather. Just bring shoes, hats, sun block, and lots of water.

Salt River is one of the best attractions around, whether you get some parking passes with friends to park vehicles at different stop points so you can tube down or take the bus/rent a tube. Its good fun on a budget and if you go outside of the season, you can really experience nature as horses and other wildlife come to the shoreline or swim down with you!

One of my favorite things to do in Arizona. If you ever have friends or family visiting please take time out and just float down the river. Its extremely inexpensive tubes are provided for you along with the bus ride to and from the river. I recommend getting there early so you can do the full experience.

We tube the river often, and when people come in from out of town we love to bring them. Anyone looking for a great experience in the heat we tell to go tubing. Bring Sunscreen, drinks, and snacks in a floating cooler, and a bluetooth speaker with some music adds to the fun...from the Users point to the exit its a 3.5-4 hour float on average.

This is a great way to spend a day with friends. Just drinking, talking and laughing. You can bring your tubes and a few ppl. We usually do and take one car and park at the bottom so we can all ride back to the top. But we bring sun block coolers with beer, water, alcohol, snacks, tubes, waterproof box.... we have a great time.

Long slippery river stone bank for rental tubes to exit. Fast water current and slippery stone bank makes for dangerous disembarkation. If not renting, float on by there are better pull out areas ahead. Parking lot is large, Tonto Pass required to park. Some gazebos for shade while waiting for rental bus. Concrete path goes to within a couple hundred feet of the shore.

Bring a floating cooler and a life jacket for young ones. They will say you need done for all little ones, but strong swimmers over 4 feet should be more than fine. Very timely on pick up and drop off. Wish the younger lady helping us get ready was more helpful, but everyone else was great. Would recommend!

If youre under 21 this place is a trap. Ops weight at the unloading zone and just select people to breathalyze. Be safe.

Bring sunscreen. Its about a 4 hour ride down the river. Bring drinks, they rent bucket tubs for hauling stuff, but at the price of a regular tube ($17). Recommend putting a towel over the black tube, it gets hot and has a tendency to leave black marks on you. Beware of marshmallow throwing, its a thing whether you are for it or not. Bring sunscreen...

Had a blast! We saw over a dozen wild horses right on river. THE most amazing thing we saw was a bald eagle in the water . It was just standing there cooling his feet. There is a spot people cliff dive from . Looks dangerous . The climb up to jump is straight up and the area in which you are safe to jump in is pretty small. There are big rocks in the water And is shallow surrounding area. Would never recommend anyone to jump. The only downer was that when you got off of your tube and walked in river you can smell poop. I might not of had such a great time if i had known this . Found out right before our stop to get out . Did not smell anything til the end .

Nice place to walk around and fish. This area is closed during winter months, not sure why. But you can hike to the area from other directions if the gates are closed. Its very very busy here during the summer due to the salt river tubing company picking up passengers to haul back to the lot.

Salt River always great, a bit over commercialized. Back in the day it was not so restrictive and now bus and renting tubes, parking restricted to lots, not allowed to drive down to river anymore. But the water is great and the getaway from reality to float for a few hours in Nature cant be beat!

Ive never used the commercial outfit but the river itself is a good escape. Paddle boarding, it takes a little under 2 hrs to go 6.3 miles (entry at point 1/Water Users, exit at point 4/Goldfield). takes about 2.5 hrs to go 8.85 miles (entry point 1/Water Users, exit point 5/Phon D. Sutton). The roughest rapids are on the last bend just before Blue Point Bridge beach area (Bulldog Canyon).
