Great fishing! We usually go with a large group (5-12 of us). The kids have a great time, and everyone catches fish. No bathrooms.

Love to fish here. Tonight we fished with our 10 year old Grandson, we caught and released Small Mangrove Snappers, the bait we used was live Shrimp.I fished here with my Dad and Brother when I was a young girl.

1st time ever seeing a draw bridge with my owns turn sideways instead of going up! Pretty damn cool!

Fishing off this bridge during peak fishing seasons can be amazing. Be sure to bring an umbrella to keep the sun off of you as there is no shade and parking is far from the fishing zone of the bridge. Have caught every species of fish here and shrimping in the spring is good

This is a scissor bridge and I dont look forward to it being open and having to stop. Lol

Great place to catch shrimp at night and to throw out some lines. Best to rent a boat and shrimp at the base with a bright green light to attract the shrimp. Then the kids can enjoy catching them too!

Google wants me to rate a bridge. Ok. Mathers Bridge is a small bridge that connects the southern tip of Merritt Island to Indian Harbour Beach. Its a bridge that many locals have fond memories of. Growing up here, it was a great place to fish, shrimp, go crabbing, and eat a burger at the now demolished Mathers Bridge restaurant. Now its still a good little bridge, but it was the best little bridge in the 1970s.

Love it I live rite by it on the river.

Tender is a friendly voice on channel 9, and opens bridge promptly. Repairs to long-damaged fender on east (northbound) side are underway, with no effect on boat passage
